Once upon a time, we'd have somebody who said he was going to control the weather somehow locked up for his own protection. When did we stop doing that?

We've discussed this in my office and decided that all that needs to happen is for Obamam to decree that there is a new tempratute scale we now have Celcius and Fahrenheit now there can be Obamaheit or maybe Gorenheit which would be exactly 5 degrees less than Fahrenheit and there you have it global temps lowered. Obama solves antother problem no need to wait until 2050.

I posted this on another board, but I would like to know what the global mean temperature is supposed to be. BO doesn't want it to rise by more than 2 degrees C, but how does he or anyone else know what the "appropriate" temperature is supposed to be?

I believe you have it correct. Those involved in the conspiracy KNOW it's getting cooler and have spun it to try and make the brain dead believe that it's getting hotter. That which is naturally occuring will falsely justify their cap and tax garbage. Unless we can kill this bill it'll be too late.

don't waste your time on Stanley. He is nothing but a trouble maker. One of those guys that likes to start a fight and then runs like hell to let others finish it for him. I imagine that he was the loner/loser guy in high school...we all knew one or two. he blames everyone for his state in life and thinks he deserves handouts because he is not as fortunate as others...in reality he probably sat on his ass doing nothing but whining. the real problem with Stanley is there are a buttload of others just like him...we are outnumbered.

The point of the "2 degrees Celsius" cap is exactly *because* we are in a pullback in temperatures. Since we are at\near a low in the cycle, they want to place a cap from where we are *now*, and then squeeze us once the solar activity picks up again and we return to a more "normal" temp.

Remember, we are still recovering from the 17th century "little ice age" with its storms, famine, disease, etc. If you start tracking from there, yes we have "warmed" during the past 250 years, but we haven't even reached the balmy temps experienced during the Renaissance - you know, back when Greenland was a farming community, storms were light, crops were bountiful and populations expanded.

Oh, and the seas were 11" higher than today, not 10 FEET.

So, lets ask ourselves what the goal really is.

My thoughts on this conference where they voted to only let the temp. rise 2 degrees celcius: They see the writing on the wall and the global warming scare is starting to fail with lower temps and they need to set this limit so when global warming doesn't materialize they can shout that they kept it from happening.

While they're at it, why not limit the number of hurricanes/cyclones that can make landfall each season? How about the number of tornados and severe storms? Let's also put a cap on floods, or at least the level the water can rise to. Just think of the good we can do for the planet if we all join together to let Mother Nature know we won't stand for her violent actions against us!

We recently sent emails to both Florida US senators encouraging them to vote against cap and tax. I knew that Nelson (D) is a nitwit, but thought that Martinez (R) might be open to reason. I was wrong, and both senators sent replies that could be carbon copies of this one:

I can't trust the weather channel to tell me accurately if it will rain tonight or not. And now the world governemnts want to put a cap on on global warming with such accuracy as 2 degrees Celsius?

While we are at it, why don't we just get rid of this whole seasonal pattern we've been experience for..I don't know...billions of years. I'm not very fond of Winter and Summer. Let's just keep it Spring at all times. Preferably, with a high of 72 and a low of 60. I believe it is my right as a citizen to perfectly comfortable, is it not?
