QUOTE OF THE DAY

"Our penchant for rugged individualism and laissez-faire survival of the fittest seduces us into believing that every person is entitled to every benefit society has to offer and that no individual should pay a price for the greater good of the society as a whole."

Any guesses as to who would be so distraught over the idea of individualism? I'll give you a hint ... he's a race pimp.

Enjoy!

What others are saying

  • Great quote
I am still in shock that the guy could form and present such a well written thought. I know that is cold blooded, but all I ever hear from him is the sound bite rants (and not just on Fox).
  • Jesse
This guy has been working for the greater good of Jesse's retirement plan his whole life. And he's done it by picking your pocket and mine.
  • Rev. Jackson Dilemma
Suppose Rev. Jackson has a choice between two physicians. He needs just one of them to provide life saving medical treatment. One physician has passed the exam permitting the physician to perform the procedure. The other physician has not.

Which physician would Rev. Jackson choose?

Do you believe for a moment he would base his decision on race?
  • Darwin
I find it so hypocritical that the left which defends the exclusive teaching in schools of theory of evolution and survival of the fittest will do anything and everything to prevent its actual operation within our society.
  • Jesse's idiotic rant
One of the reasons that I chose my primary care physician is that I went to High school and College with him, and have a good idea of his intelligence. The observation that his skin color is several shades darker than mine ( I am fairly pasty white!) had no bearing, one way of the other, his talent was the determining factor. Jesse needs to leave America alone, and steal more money from charities for his mistress(es?)
  • Greater Good
"I resolve never to live my life for the sake of another, or to demand another live his life for the sake of mine." Ayn Rand (Paraphrased, but essential to real freedom.)
  • Jesse's fault
If he and his race pimp buddies including those holding office, would quit treating their people like victims that need protecting and let them out to fend for themselves, maybe there would be more diversity because they would all learn personal responsibility and work ethics. Then they would find themselves in higher positions.

Oh and wasn't he one that used to complain about how the military directed all their recruiting efforts to minorities and were just exploiting them? Then he turns around and gives the military an atta boy for making more minorities officers. So it's ok for them to be officers but he don't want them in the trenches with everyone else.

    I see.
  • Thanks for that exclamation of horse squeeze, Jesse
We're hearing a lot of that "paying a price for the greater good" these days.

Problem is, Jesse and his ilk are on the "receiving" end while people like me are on the "paying" end. Thank God the SCOTUS decision came down as it did.
  • My Quote of the Day
Many people must be ruled to thrive. In their selfishness and greed, they see free people as their oppressors. They wish to have a leader who will cut the taller plants so the sun will reach them. They think no plant should be allowed to grow taller than the shortest, and in that way give light to all. They would rather be provided a guiding light, regardless of the fuel, than light a candle themselves. (Taken from a book by Terry Goodkind)
  • Thanks Bruce, that's a pretty concise argument for why I use this handle.
I love the Cowboy stereotype for the same reasons the heathen left and euroweasils hate it(until it's them that needs saving, of course).

I'm actually a lifelong woodsman, I've ridden horses, but never owned any myself. Rifleman is another handle I use some places.
  • Quote of the Day
Mr. Jackson stated it wrong. All the firefighters had the opportunity to take the test, but only the ones who passed earned the right to advance.
  • okay - I feel dumb
I'm not getting this quote at all. My sense of personal responsibility, and all that goes along with it, makes me believe in an entitlement structure?
What was he really trying to say? Was he jive talkin and something got lost in the translation?
  • Greater Good, HA!
The last thing Jesse wants is a society free of racial bias. Without it he has no source of income. He only wants his part of the playing field to be level.
  • I's cornfuzzled ...
Does the phrase "laissez-faire survival of the fittest" imply that the fittest are just laying back letting the not-so-fittest have a go? IIRC, the fittest could just pop open another can of "whupass" and do whatever - no laissez-faire about it.

One more example of the smooth talking dude running off his mouth at maximum volume while the rest of us are thinking "Hoo-ray! Hoo-ray! What'd he say?"
  • I been to alot of.......................................
I bin to county fairs, state fairs and a cuppla world fairs but what the hell is a lassez-faire??????

sounds kinky if you ax me.............
  • What a load of ....
What else can you expect from race baiter JJ? Hypocrites like him will be the first ones demanding the best firefighters save his burning house - not just the colored ones. A common exam levels the playing field, not your race. Ability before color.
  • "Cowboy"
Notice also that the word "Cowboy" has
taken on a negative connotation with the Left. As in "We need to depart from
Bush's COWBOY diplomacy". For over 120 years the American cowboy has been a shining example of rugged individualism...it's a wonder that John Wayne movies haven't been declared "Hate Speech" by Obama's minions.
  • no big surprise
What else would you expect from an ugly sleaze-bag who makes his living by whining about, and hating, white people? This guy is allergic to work.
  • That's not too far from what jesse really believes.
He just thinks HE shouldn't, "...pay a price for the greater good of the society as a whole."

    You first jesse.
  • The problem I have with Jesse
He states: "Perhaps it is time to scrap the entire legal analysis of voluntary efforts to address discrimination. Perhaps we should permit employers and schools to devise plans to foster inclusion that straightforwardly account for past discrimination."

My only question is this: When will we have leveled the playing field? One generation? Five generations? Ten generations? Jesse's argument falls apart because he never states and end goal. Much like many plans of the political left - we need to do something... forever. Not until the problem is solved - because the problem will never be solved with their solutions. The "war on poverty" is a prime example. No matter how much money you spend, no matter how many programs you have, there will always be rich and there will always be poor. It is a simple fact.
  • Contradictory
I don't think it is rugged individualism that "seduces people into believing that every person is entitled to every benefit society has to offer." Rugged individualism says I can take my shot at obtaining those benefits. Affirmative action and welfare says someone is entitled to benefits.
  • Quote of the Day
I read that last night. Man was I angry. That is until I started reading all the comments on the article and was very happy to see so many people calling Jackson out for what he really is, a race baiter. It was fantastic.
  • Jesse did get something right....albeit just at the end of his ill conceived argument:
'The firefighters had no "right" to be promoted, merely an opportunity.'
  • Race Pimp Extraordinaire
Actually, my penchant for rugged individualism seduces me into wanting to hock a loogey in JJ's lying, hypocritical face.
  • Quote of the day
I can't bring myself to read the entire article, but it seems to me that ol' Jesse has precisely the opposite conclusion from what our penchant for rugged individualism and laissez-faire survival of the fittest should actually induce. It should lead one to conclude that there is no entitlement to societal benefits!
