I'm sorry to say that I live in Santa Rosa. This county is so Liberal that it's going the way of the rest of CA. She and the rest of the city council vetoed Wal-Mart and Lowes from building new stores in town. Unemployment is high, and small businesses are closing. SR is only 50 miles from San Francisco, so what can I expect?

Well, there is this mantra out there - "live within our means" - and while that sounds really nice . . . and it sounds really responsible, it's meaningless. (Liberal translation: personal responsibility negates government dependency, which equals fewer votes for the democrats)

Our means are completely within our control (Liberal translation: government control). . .

We have just given away huge corporate subsidies in February; (Liberal translation: government was just giving back taxes that we should have never taken in the first place, so you can at least stay in business, and it looks as if government was saving you)

we have given away other tax reductions over many, many years; we've created tax loopholes; in good times, we routinely give away taxes, (Liberal translation: this is our money, people are just fortunate to live in this country and should be happy just to keep what we let them have)

and then in lean times we never replace those tax deductions or close those loopholes. . . . (Liberal translation: it’s government’s money, not yours)

So "live within our means" doesn't mean anything. The fact is, we have a state with a population that have [sic] needs that we have a moral obligation to provide. (Liberal translation: the achievers and overachievers only became that way because they broke away from government education, government mindset, and had ambition to better themselves, and this was done on the backs of the underachievers, so the achievers must support the dumb masses that vote for dependency and the only party that care for the underachievers (not with our money, but yours), that party, the Democrats)
