AND NOW THIS WORD FROM OUR COMMANDER IN CHIEF

During his visit to Russia this week President Obama had something rather interesting to say about our armed forces. He said that "the future does not belong to those who gather armies." Really? Well, I have this question for our Commander in Chief. Which country do you think is more in control of its future ... the country that keeps an army, or the country that does not?

Too easy. Much too easy.

OOOH, he is SOO much different than president Bush...
    Illegal wars/rendition/violating the 4th-5th-6th-7th-8th amendments(Guantanamo/"Patriot" Act/Military Comissions Act)/violating the 1st(press restrictions on funerals)/violating the 2nd (VT NICS)/Bailouts/socialized medicine(SCHIP-Prescription Drug Benefite Medicare Part D)/etc...
  • @qwertypoiu33@yahoo.com
Funny you should cit the Constitution. THE ONE has shredded it several times already.
He nominated Senator Hildabeast for Secretary of State, a direct violation of Article 1 Section 6:

No Senator or Representative shall, during the Time for which he was elected, be appointed to any civil Office under the Authority of the United States which shall have been created, or the Emoluments whereof shall have been increased during such time; and no Person holding any Office under the United States, shall be a Member of either House during his Continuance in Office.

He made a power grab to control the U.S. Census.
The census is written into the Constitution. In Article I, Section 2 the US Constitution orders that:

“The actual Enumeration shall be made within three Years after the first Meeting of the Congress of the United States, and within every subsequent Term of ten Years, in such Manner as they shall by Law direct.”

When he implemented the AIG bonus tax, he violated Article 1, Section 9, Clause 5

“No bill of Attainder or ex post facto law shall be passed.”

    and

    Article 1 Section 10

No State shall enter into any Treaty, Alliance, or Confederation; grant Letters of Marque and Reprisal; coin Money; emit Bills of Credit; make any Thing but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts; pass any Bill of Attainder, ex post facto Law, or Law impairing the Obligation of Contracts, or grant any Title of Nobility.

You can add the numerous taxation without represtentation stunts, as well.

PrezBo is using the Constitution for toilet paper, and he’s just getting started.

"Is there anytime in human history that would validate the president's statement?"

That depends. Do you mean the statement he actually MADE, or the imaginary one you cooked up about "humans not needing self-defense"?
  • BN, lol yea that was kinda mean to 5th graders.
I'd just as soon Japan and Germany not rearm, even if it does cost us extra and we get little thanks for defending them. I can understand arguments either way, but that's where the safest money is over the long haul.
  • for 'n invaders.....no freakin' way!
let some of those lil' desert dwellers come over here and screw up a nascar event!

don't need no stinkin' army, hell red necks got more guns than the army and marines together...
  • Nature first
When plants and animals, etc quit using self-defense to protect themselves, then humans can follow suit.

A little help here. Is there anytime in human history that would validate the president's statement?
  • Blue?
Would this include the Blue Helmet brigades????
  • with respect............................................
Ivan.....some times I think you have gone 'round the bend....... yet on the other hand you make me stop and think.......thanks, My brain needs the 'xersize.....

the world will always.....always..... need armys and navys if not for fightin' then for securing and rebuilding.

I would not argue with you about new weapons systems......'cuz I'm not in the loop. I still have contacts that are serving that are in the loop tho......

if they ever told me 'bout sumpin' that was spooky secret I would have to kill 'em, and they know it!

technology today moves faster than the speed of thought............so no arguing with you just healthy skepticism.

where the hell is that ice you were 'sposed to bring.......
  • What was that Copy? You can't be real....
It's incredible, really, that anyone could actually have such a backwards world-view in this day and age. Copy, you sound more like a soviet propogandist from the '70's to me than a political commentator from 2009. You're sort of like a bad Mike Myers/Austin Powers type of character wearing a chairman mao suit. This just can't be real...
  • No armies?!?
So how does he think this country was founded? Did we win our freedom in some political debate? Some affirmative action committee in England?
  • and then we have John (lies)
just because we don't agree with his hero we are all ignorant, least informed and mindless victims.

Unlike people like him that would fawn to everything his highness spews from his tookus regardless of how high it stinks.

Unfortunately, since we are joining more and more into the New World Order, our military probably is becoming an endangered species.
  • heyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy................................
cowboy.....ease up on us 5th graders.....I can answer most of the questions on foxworthy's show.....some times.......
  • To booger...
I will look up the name you gave. Bearden or whatever. The only infomation I know is what is available to me through contacts of mine that are familiar with projects that DARPA works on. Scalar weapons are very real and they are pretty darned effective. With the right amount of energy scalar weapons could be quite devistating to say the least.

You bring up an interesting point about this technology. I suppose it could be used to turn weather into a weapon of sorts. I am sure they are looking into this possibility if they haven't long perfected such a technology. I wouldn't put it past them. Mind control is obviously getting into a realm that I wouldn't understand to be quite honest, but I do know that on some level our brains react to electromagnetic energy so I suppose there is a possibility that if you knew what frequency the brain operates on you could tune the technology in to that frequency. I just don't understand how you would "broadcast" information this way, but I am sure someone is working on it.

UFO's and that sort of thing is a controversial topic for a number of reasons, but one thing I do know is that there are scientists in the US now that are working on cloaking technology that involves working with optical technology in the Ultra Violet light spectrum. As far as I know this stuff is all cutting edge. I would love to have more access to this information cause it is just fascinating.
  • from the ground up.............................
let's make this clear.... osamabama is a dumbass! his controllers on the other hand are some smart sum bitches.......

oh copylift.....japan and germany, both got their asses kicked in da big one, were re-built almost from the ground up after the smoke cleared. now why would they be so successful these days???

they don't need large armies or navies, they got us!!!!
  • The Future
Those who beat their swords into plowshares will plow for those that did not.
  • Copyleft mentality
Before we allow our leadership to remove our protections (Army and buried missiles), at least try an experiment on a smaller scale. Disarm and disband the police forces so all the criminal elements will like us better and change their ways. Some good starting points would be Chicago, LA, Detroit and Washington DC. After a year or two we should be able to measure our success and see if we want to apply the template on a larger scale.
  • Hussein doesn’t have to make sense, he just has to sound pretty.
After the first word or two the teeny-boppers aren’t listening, and mathews’ leg is tingling so hard he he can’t hear.

Hussein has great timing, so close to the holiday marking the declaration of the ten year war that won our independence. The war we won by not only gathering an army, but sending it to war against the best army in the world at that time. We had an army before we had a country. Too bad there wasn’t a home schooled 5th grader there to set him straight. This is what passes for smart and educated these days?
  • And now this word from our commander-in-chief...
What do you mean neal,"too easy. Much too easy"? It's EASY to see that the question you pose thereafter is not consistent with the quote you've provided by Obama. His statement doesn't imply not keeping an army or maintaining national security through military means. It does seem however, to suggest that by 'gathering armies' (taking control of other nations) leaves for perhaps if any future, one that is short-lived.
  • Turning Point in History
I realized listening to PBO yesterday, everything that has happened in the history of the US (the world mayhaps) has just been a prelude to his opportunity to change everything. Of course armed forces won't matter in the future - this is all the After Obama age. He is smarter and better intentioned than anyone who has ever ruled (oops I meant governed) this country or any other. His word will break the swords of all aggressors. In years to come we will supplement the year indicators BC & AD with ABO. Damn right it's time to repeal that bothersome amendment that limits US presidents to 2 terms. President for Life Obama. I LIKE IT!!

Just sorry it happened after I wasted 30 years serving in our useless military.
  • Scalar weapons are the future.?
Mind Control...Weather Control...UFO Cloaking... Wow Ivan, this is really a "one weapon does it all. One note though, Most Physicists I have read think this guy Bearden? is a first class crackpot
  • "those who gather armies"
    Let's see.
Police, FBI, CIA, ATF, ICE, etc. are all armies uniformed and armed.
    Think before proving your ignorance.
  • lies
Once again, just to be able to stir up the ignorant people that follow you, you misrepresent the truth. Everything has to be wrong because Obama is not a right wing neocon like you. You start with this ridiculous premise and then twist reality to match your predetermined failed ideology. This appealing to the least informed and getting them outraged over false assumptions may get you ratings, But your fans are mindless victims and you are a disservice to our country. You are to transparent to consider your fans anything but gullible fools.
  • Border
Not interested or believe anything this so-called president has to say as long as our own borders are leaking like a sieve.
  • bet he worked all night on that one
Come onnnn, give the halfwit a break. He's just trying to make a few profound statements that will be remembered for all time. As stupid as it was, I know I'll remember it.
  • Japan and Germany
Japan and Germany don't have armies because they were defeated. They depend on us to protect them. Who is going to protect anyone if we don't have an army. The reason China is doing so well is they are selling their products to us at rockbottom prices because they don't pay a living wage. They certainly are not going to get rid of their army. I do think we should stop protecting Europe and let them protect themselves.
  • To The Doctor
You are right about the good things that this country does, but you are absolutely wrong about the US not being an empire builder. Our empire is vast and we have influence EVERYWHERE. When we don't like an elected world leader we oust them and plant someone whom we can depend on to carry out our agenda worldwide. For you to make that comment is hilarious to say the least.
  • AHH...
    "President Obama"
President of the gunverment...he is not my president!

    "our Commander in Chief"
He is NOT "our Commander in Chief" (facepalm)
Article II, Section 2, Clause I
"Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy of the United States, and of the Militia of the several States"
ahh...I suppose this is expected from a Bush voter...
  • Honestly...
You guys don't get all upset about this comment by Obama. He is hinting at something else. There is a reason we are talking like this with Russia. Our nuclear stockpiles have been a great show of force in the past, but the real truth is that a nuke is no longer the weapon you need to be worried about.

I know for a fact that any ICBM fired by one of our enemies will never reach an American city. Our scalar weapons systems would down the missle before it even left the airspace of the country that fired it. That is the reality of scalar weapons.

I know for a fact that Russia and the US have the technology to fire off these scalar weapons and bring down entire cities in a matter of minutes. This technology is pretty advanced and is being constantly improved upon by DARPA.

These missle defense sheilds that Russia is so upset about is scalar. It does not involve rockets of any kind. The weapon system is housed inside of a dome-like structure similar to Doppler radar. It emits a high intensity wavelength that is bounced off the ionosphere and directed at a ground target or it can be used to down a target in the air.

The US takes steps to defend itself from attack using some very interesting countermeasures. One of the main countermeasures is to spray barium salt aerosols into the air that cause these high intensity wavelengths to reflect back into space. It is not a 100% effect countermeasure, but it lessens the severity of an attack.

Our Army is using a very effective portable version of this technology called the active denial system for use on large crowds for crowd control. In just a couple seconds they can heat the surface of your skin to the point where it feels like you are being scalded by boiling water. The Active Denial System is a form of scalar technology.

Of course I could go on and on about this technology cause it is that damn cool. We are about to enter into a brand new era of weapons technology.
  • Obama is being played by Putin!
Read this and then tell me how savvy our President really is! That swell agreement he made with the Russians to open supply lines through Russia to our troops in Afghanistan? Totally predictable!

  • Copyleft's Statement
Why don't we disarm ourselves and get Isreal to do the same, then see how long either country exists anymore. Armies aren't relevant? You idiots need to understand there are some very bad people in this world that would blow you away in a heart beat, they don't want to sit around the campfire singing folk songs with you, they want you dead! If the US was raising and Army to build Empire's why are we so concerned with leaving Iraq. Why didn't we just keep Kuwait when we liberated that country? Try this little experiment at your house. Put a sign in your yard that says you are unarmed and have one million dollars cash on your kitchen table. Write us back and tell me how that worked out for you.
  • Das Kapital, anybody?
One of the biggest principles of Communism, (not Socialism or leftism, but pure theoretical utopic Communism) is that nations cease to exist as sovereign individualities, frontiers do no longer divide territories and therefore armies are no longer a need because ALL former nations will have embraced the same ideology and form of government. In other words, in this ideal "future" armies would not need to be "gathered".
Anyone notice the resemblance between His Telepromptership's gret quotes and the pages of Marx and Engels' "The Capital"?
But...breaking news! Even socialist countries have abandoned the pursuit of the Communist Utopia and still he embraces it! Long live Vladimir Obama!!
  • Copyleft's usual idioic comments
I don't have the time or space to refute all of them, so let's just go with the most egregious! Japan and Germany lost WWII, and the victor, instead of colonizing them, rebuilt their countries. America is exactly the opposite of an empire builder.
  • President Putin
Oh come on give Obama a break. Without his trusty teleprompter to tell him what to say he actually has to attempt to think for himself. Not necessarily a good thing.
  • re:cornpone
"Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth"....yeah,traditionaly a 3'x6'x6'deep plot of earth with a stone marker saying what a wonderful loser they were.
  • Ridiculous
    1. You didn't post the entire quote, so this is lacking context - the move of an amateur hack

    2. The rest of the quote reads, "on a field of battle or bury missiles in the ground," clearly having NOTHING to do with de-militarizing, and everything to do with reducing military conflict and nuclear weapons

    3. Your smug "question for our Commander in Chief" is clearly misplaced and deeply entrenched in partisan prejudice.

    4. QED
  • Armies
Another bit of wisdom that flies right over the ignorant wingnuts' heads. As usual.

Some simple facts: Armies are useless in fighting terrorism.

The U.S. Army protects the U.S., and yet nobody has invaded or attacked us. (Note: Al Qaeda is not equal to Iraq.)

Japan and Germany LOST WW2, and they're major world powers thanks to their economic activity.

The USSR had an enormous military budget and tradition... and they collapsed due to economic problems.

China was barely a survivor of WW2--and they own most of America's debt today.

Armies were relevant back when there were international wars. Now, not so much.

The neocon tactics of "fearmongering to promote empire" have simply failed, Neal. There are bigger issues to concern us today.

Get the U.S. army back to protecting America from the few military threats that still exist, and quit pretending they're the cornerstone of our foreign policy and plans for the future.

In other words, the future doesn't automatically BELONG to the biggest military bully on the block. Exactly as our President pointed out.
  • World Peace a Reality; Michael Jackson and Elvis Spotted at Taco Bell
So many people are living in a dream-world. Obama and Russia agree to do away with nuclear weapons and only one of them keeps their promise, you'll see.
You cannot un-invent the nuclear bomb any more than you can un-invent the gun.

Red Leader, Ivan, Obama has let slip many indications of his dreams about (or more likely service to) the NWO. Such as this 'citizen of the world' nonsense.
  • Our Wimpy CinC
There are various cliches that refute his stupidity like "Peace through superior firepower", ad nauseum. History is written by the victors and it's safe to assume the victors have more armies and weapons.
  • Obama The Linguine Spined
I hear Obama funneled a bunch of 'stimulus' money toward sewing thousands of white flags; that's the only thing delaying his Afghanistan exit strategy.
  • Sarah Palin knows better
Even Sarah Palin knows that to keep out the foreign invaders that one needs an Army.

All you Obama voters, such as Hugo's Ghost, Copyleft, and others, we are now seeing another Jimmy Carter presidency. As they say, "those who don't learn from history are doomed to repeat it, and lo and behold if we're not repeating it already."

Why couldn't have we elected Sarah Palin for president. She has more backbone,(I had to keep it family friendly here.) than B. Hussein Obama.
  • Hey skeptics...
    Checkmate...

    http://www.nytimes.com/2009/07/08/world/europe/08pope.html

Call me crazy now. BTW just an FYI the NY Times has changed the headline already since they first published this.

Oh and as far as the comments of our President go I have no problem with his comments. Our military as well as a couple other militaries around the world have access to a weapon much more powerful than a nuke. The reason he is saying we don't need armies anymore is cause we actually don't. Scalar weapons system remove the need for armies and all conventional weapons systems. Scalar weapons are the future.
  • Make Love Not War
Or at least dont sit in front of Fox News angry all day watching Hannity cry about how he isnt getting enough books sold. Man republicans are angry people when they lose hair over 1 line the democratically elected president says in Russia

  • ...Chairman Obama also said this.....
"What kind of future are Russia and America going to have together? What world order will replace the Cold War?"

What 'world order' is Obama talking about? Why isn't Obama asking questions like 'how is America going to get back to the rule of law, which is the constitution?' What world order is he referring to? Can someone find the words 'world order' in the constitution? Im being completely serious here? Boortz maybe you could talk about what 'world order' means today. Why doesn't he use the words 'sovereign nation?'

Also the cold war has ALREADY been replaced, look at how China and India continue to move ahead...only a neo-con would show evidence that he/she is stuck in the Cold War mentality.
