The American Dream
Failure is but a teaching moment. Teaching you the path to success.
Where do all great people of all walks of life come from?

From there it's up to you.

I think being president right now is where I'd like to be...

Move to a parallel world without an Alexander Hamilton.
Failure
Failure is a term used by losers who quit instead of learn. Bad Credit? Get good credit. Too impatient or unmotivated to learn how to gain good credit? Learn to shutup ones inner whiner. Demand patience from yourself and go google "how to earn good credit". Too "busy"? Organize and prioritize. As a father of 2 kids its my job to put up and shut up. I have to learn, overcome, and do everything I can with what God gave me to lead by example so one day my children can provide for themselves and do the same...if they so chose. While I am at it, I will also earn enough to provide a good margin of comfort for my family. In bad times I will sweep floors better than anyone else and flip hamburger patties faster than Spongebob Squarepants. Whatever it takes - jobs can be stepping stones or tombstones. The prior has a great deal to do with how well one controls themself and doesnt put up with their own crap.
To all those making excuses on here nice job defining your problems; now take the next step and figure out how to solve them. Yes, your life truly is in your hands. Learning how to demand things of oneself is critical to success.
not failing...
Convince the Senate and Congress that the FaitTax is the only way to save America's economy. Then work and achieve the goal of eliminating this man made/global warming nonsense... drill for US oil in the US
Spread the Gospel to EVERY nation
which is a key component for the return of Christ - somebody's gotta spread God's word!
from the cartoon:
"What do you want to do tonight, Brain?" "Same thing we do every night, Pinky: Try to take over the world!"
I promise I would be a benevelant dictator...
This will either register with you or not.......
I'm very disappointed in people's answers. They don't seem to understand that this is not really a question - it's a challenge. Maybe your listeners really aren't that smart after all. Oh, that's right! I listened to Friday's show. They aren't.
Listen to more Bootz
My local radio station only airs the last two hours.
Not to die for.
I think i would try to get 72 virgins without blowing myself up.
Not good
Sort of takes all the fun out of succeeding... Maybe I'd have to move to a place where I'd have the freedom to fail.

Bring back our founding fathers and patriots and KICK SOME ASS
If I couldn't fail?
From Star Wars Episode V - this is the REAL quote:
Luke: (sighs) "Okay... I'll try." Yoda: "NO! DO... or do not. There is no try."
You only "try" when you fail. And if you KNOW that you cannot fail, then there is nothing that you would "TRY" to do, you would just DO it, and you would succeed.
But here's the problem: If you KNOW that you can jump off the roof and fly, and you "KNOW" that you can never fail in anything that you DO... does that mean that you will actually fly when you jump off the roof?
No? Why not? You KNOW that you can never fail in whatever you do. So if you KNOW that you will fly if you jump off the roof, why won't it happen? Why is gravity conspiring to make you a liar?
Oops! I guess I just blew that little self-help slogan, huh?
I am 25 years old and I work about 70 hours per week and attend school as a full time student at the University of Phoenix with 3.89 GPA. I am also at the gym about eight to ten hours per week because I am trying to get into the United States Marine Corps as a commissioned officer.
I have been happily married to my wife for over three years and we were blessed with a baby boy last year. I am the sole provider for the family so that my wife can stay at home with the baby until he gets a bit older. I have no health insurance but I have life insurance so that if something happens to me my wife and son are taken care of.
Personal choices are tough but everyone in this country needs to start making them, otherwise what I am going to be serving my country for will be completely in vain.
Bad credit

The answer in a quote
Luke, there is NO TRY, Do or Do not. Yoda
Not sure
I enjoy performing--acting, etc. I don't care for the fame which goes along with superstardom, but I love the acting process.
What's stopping me is my commitment to my husband and children, as well as the fact that in that arena, too many times, a performer is asked to compromise their values.
I was born free by a stroke of luck.
There is one thing I will not fail at.
I WILL die free.
Failure is not an option.
I would finally finish Atlas Shrugged. Come on lady! 1200 pages?! You could've made the same point in half that.
What silly questions
I, and most anyone, could come up with an endless list of things to do if failure were impossible. Duh. And, like everyone else, I don't attempt, or even think about, most of the things that would be on this list because failure would be certain or highly likely if most of them were attempted, and I'm busy doing or trying things at which I believe I have a reasonable chance of success. Duh. Is there any other way for a sane person to answer? What's your point here, Neal?
Nothing stopped me ... I did it.
and a good thing, too - now, everything I want to do is illegal, immoral or fattening.
Could not fail
Alter the human genome to assure that logic is an innate and undeniable ability in human beings moving forward. Also include automatic revulsion reflexes to reality TV, and "Pop Culture" .

HAPPY FRIDAY AMERIKA..... DRIP don't return incumbent politicians ARM YOURSELF PROTECT YOU AND YOURS
What I would Do...
Install a fan for Belinda so she and Royal and Christine would have a Breeze while the Talkmaster is jabbering. Remove the store-gernade from Neils Shirt. Install Smart-Bulbs in the Studio.
If I could not fail...
I would spend all my time and wealth promoting www.geocities.com/carjug . It is an idea for helping people with reading trouble. I would manufacture high quality chairs, and hire people.
What's stopping me? I don't know how to promote the idea or how to sell the stupid chairs.
What's stopping me?
Well, Obama has yet to offer me sponsorship to the WRC and mandate that they let me with some of the races. So until then, I'll have to figure something else out to do. Welfare checks don't pay enough to run a car as well as taking care of my other bills. Yet.
thanks ivan
y'sterday you sent links that many of us visited. you have been taken off of my christmas card list and placed on my sworn enemy list.
why the hostility? thanks to you I will have difficulty sleeping for a while.
you said, "ignorance is bliss", yep, agreed. I say, the more we learn the more we learn we don't know squat!
we here in the USSA are in the dark about soooooooooooooo much.

What would I do?
Well, whatever it is. It would be pretty boring. No risk. No effort. No self-determination. Think of it like this... every time you put a quarter in a slot machine, you win... every pop fly goes right in your glove. You don't even have to move... You start painting a canvas and... poof! A masterpiece.... so you have that mansion and yacht... so what? You didn't earn it. Must be a hollow feeling.
Too bad so many schlubs who voted for Obama don't realize this is what he's offering as a solution to their so-called "miserable" life.
There was a twilight zone like this where a criminal died and went to heaven. He got everything he wanted, ladies, gambling, everything rigged for him to win. Every time. He got sick of it and said he wanted to go to hell... that's when he was informed... he WAS in hell.
What's stopping me?
I'm not a bank, insurance company, car company, newspaper, healthcare organization or any other corporation next on the list for bailouts.
I'm a man. I can try. I can fail. I will try. I will fail.
I will try again.
I am not afraid. I am not weak. I do not fear the results of failure.
I learn. I move on. I find a way to succeed. At ALL times.
I'm an American.
I believe that...
Obama knew he was going to win the election from the moment he joined the race. He knew he would not fail. The powers that be had already decided that Obama would be their "agent for change".
I would become a Physician Assistant.. Whats stopping me are time and money...Cant quit my job to chase dreams when I have my wife and child to support.
Good question
Is this kind of like "what would you do for a Klondike Bar"?
Go into sales.....
I'm an IT guy that sits behind a desk. I've been offered a sales job with unlimited income that will get me out in the world, but I'm scared to leave my sure thing.
2 Words!
Become President!
If I couldn't fail.
I would look in the mirror and smile at myself. I would know that I attained to status of a high executive at a large corporation. I'd be raking in an insane amount of compensation, bonuses, and stock options. And I'd know that I would not be at all accountable for my performance or my company's performance. And I'd be downright laughing at the thought that my shareholders can't easily throw my buddies off the board of directors. And maybe I'd even try to extract TARP funds so that I could get yet more money. And I'd have a smile ear-to-ear as I watch the stock price drop to pennies per share. What a system. I can't fail, and I have talent.
Start a Small Business
What's stopping me? The Obamanation.
Can't fail
What would you try to do with your life right now if you knew that you could not fail?
Play professional golf
Well, what's stopping you?
The quality of my game (or lack thereof)
Maybe I should just hope some more. Or we could redistribute some of those birdies from the top of the leaderboard to us schmucks at the bottom.
Epic Fail
Unfortunately, my life experience has taught me that not only is it possible for me to fail, that I will fail. That said, I still didn't vote for the obama. I'm hoping that I'll win the lottery or someone will leave me an inheritance. Since no one has helped me in life, I want to keep as much money for myself.
marriage
I would marry the woman of my dreams. Unfortunately, she does not seem to dream about me.
What would you try to do with your life right now if you knew that you could not fail?
Cure cancer
I would like to...
Sail around the world.
Travel
I would escape the nightmare that our economy has become and travel/work in Europe. I would ironically become the thing I dislike: an illegal alien who is just trying to make his life better. The "powers-at-be" in this country have forgotten about me; and now I want to forget about them. Economic recovery my ass.
epic fail
Unfortunately, my life has taught that not only is it possible to fail, that I will fail. I still didn't vote for the obama. I'm hoping to win the lottery or someone will leave me an inheritance and since no one in life has ever helped me I want to keep as much of that money as possible for myself.
What's stopping you?
My mortgage payment.
i would kill so many people
all except true libertarians (sorry neal, as a LINO, you've got to go), anarchists, and the Amish.
the answer is
Racing...motorcycles.
And its the wife that gets in the way. The story of my marriage.
What's Stopping You?
Thanks, Neal, for a great morning slap in the face; the kind I really needed. I find myself up here in Dayton contemplating an upcoming change in career thanks to the relocation of NCR. Oddly enough, this current career started as a day job to support a more desireable career pursuit, but over time, worries about bills and stability caused the day job to overshadow the dream. Change for me is coming whether I want it or not now, and you've helped me see this as an opportunity not to be missed.
For the purpose of clarification...
The debt that I reference was incurred so that I could buy my own radio station, which is where I work my 60 hour week. It's not profitable yet, but I am determined to make it so.
Interesting question...
If you knew absolutely that you would not fail you could literally do anything you want obviously. The government always seems to be there to remind people that it's OKAY to fail because once you do the government will fix everything and you will forever be a slave to it. When you become dependent to an entity like government you are instantly in bondage because your mind becomes fixated on the easy path rather than the right path.

Get Neal Boortz off the air?
Silly Question
...and since failure can and does obviously occur, how willing are you to live with the consequences of that failure??
Sometimes self defeat and self preservation wear the same hat.
Thumb in your eye.
A Question
Actually, that's two.
EXACTLY what I am doing now...
which is the beauty of self-reliance and determination. No, I am not rich... I am in debt up to my eyeballs and I work 60 hour weeks... I can't afford health insurance, and I don't want the government to give it to me... but I am doing what I want to do, and I believe that it will reward me in the end... and I live where I choose to live. In short, I am living the dream.
