Iran's Guardian Council has admitted that there were some irregularities in the presidential election. Gee, ya think? It said that the number of votes collected was greater than the number of eligible voters ... we are talking about 3 million questionable votes. But Iranian authorities have ruled out the possibility of nullifying the vote.

Meanwhile, did you hear what Moonbat Mahmoud Ahmadinejad had to say about the election? You'll find this statement humorous:

"In Western countries, democracy is 100% controlled and people's role is ceremonial. But, what happened in Islamic Iran was the true manifestation of the nation's resolve and determination ... Following Iran's election, the US and British leaders became concerned about their own existence and launched a sinister effort to defend the oppressive system that they have imposed on the world ... Today, the enemies are upset because a nation has understood its capacity and is turning into a role model for the international community."

I want to know just when he hired Obama's speechwriters .... Or are they on loan.

What others are saying

  • Patriot Act
Oh definitely! Get rid of that.

I don't think the left has considered the long term ramifications of the powers they are granting Obama. Do they want all the succeeding presidents to have those same powers!?!

    Good point.
  • tshirt-doctor.com
Ok I gotta ask, just to see if you can be the first to substantiate those ridiculous claims. How DID Jeb get his brother elected? Especially in light of the activist Fla Supreme Court trying to violate election law, Gore trying to discount the military vote and Gore's subsequent "recoujnts" in 4 hand picked counties trying to manufacture votes???
    Splain it to me
  • Bush
Joyce, I know what you mean, he is indeed physically gone. But I think in order to truly move on, we would have to bring back up some of his policies(patriot act) and overturn them. Im just not sure what Obama is going to do with the new expanded powers Bush unleashed to the Federal Government...
  • DRIP
you may wonder why we are in a friggin' mess...........

  • butt neckid
if you don't remember the past, you'll be condemned to repeat it.

your keep talking about me being effeminate. got some problems with gay guys, don't ya. did they view your pecker in some locker room and laugh? that's why you refused to look into the past.
or it it some deeper problems with gay men? you jealous! that's it, isn't it.
  • Red
The best reason to "let it go" regarding Bush is simply because he's gone! There's nothing that can be done about it. And two wrongs don't make a right, soooooo moving along now......
  • I seem to recall Obozo's Cairo speech
when he said that Muslims are "peaceloving" and "freedomloving" just like Americans.

It seems Obozo's teleprompter has gotten him into a jam. It should be fun to watch him try and wriggle out of this one.
  • Thanks BNeckid
...and breathe dude! That's it, calm down.

Now tell us how you really feel!

BTW, what did Imadinnerjacket mean by: "the US and British leaders became concerned about their own existence "....

    Is he threatening us? Again?
  • about Bush...
The U.S system is designed to move slowly. In other words when a president makes decisions and puts things into play we feel the effects years later. So the whole 'let's get past Bush' stuff makes absolutely no sense at all. Not if we understand what he's done to help destroy this country. Not if understand how he has opened the flood gates for Chairman Teleprompter. For accuracy and honesty we'd have to include Bush in a lot of this big govt nonsense we see Chairman Teleprompter doing. It just really makes no sense otherwise. the 1st 700 billion dollar bailout bill is allowing Obama to do what he is doing. Both Bush AND Mccain supposed conservatives sign this fascist document and now Obama is using it to do what he's doing. We have to be honest with ourselves and accept the fact that Bush was in favor of large controlling govt also, just as Obama is otherwise Bush would have never signed such a grossly anti-American piece of legislation like the Patriot At.
  • Democracy
Unfortunately, Abanubaduba is right about the state of Democracy in the West. It is controlled by the Media, the Corporations, and the Politicians. Of course, as Neal often says, this is why we are supposed to be a Republic and not a Democracy.

Where the Iranian Moonbat's comments become amusing is when he says that Iran is any better. At least here women don't get shot or prosecuted for not keeping their heads covered. Not to mention that any group of nutjobs can congregate and protest anything they want, as long as it doesn't turn violent.
  • Hank Reardon
Democracy in the West IS 100% controlled--- the media controls our democracy. if a politician goes against the news media, they will "ban" him. watch this movie --- http://video.aol.com/video-detail/orwell-rolls-in-his-grave/3033937675
  • ceremonial voters
Hank, by logic the only way we can say that the media did not attempt to control the 2008 election is if they indeed gave coverage to all Republican candidates running. They did not. That itself is indeed a form of attempted control.Mahmoud's words may be generalizing and a bit of a blanket statement but there is indeed some truth to what he is saying. We'd have to have not seen much of the 2008 elections to not acknowledge that the media attempted to decide the election for people. Another way to look at it, just ask your average American if the words 'healthcare' ,'education', or 'bailout' are in the constitution....they will have no idea, yet they still go through the ceremonial action of voting for whoever the TV or radio says they should be voting for. They vote for whoever TV/Radio says will win, rather than the person they believe in.
  • my apology...................
to all of you that live and breath in the here and now...........

    sorry for my lil' rant.

  • Ahmanutjob could get a job in a ME Studies Dept. at a US university talking like that.
Does it ever bother the dp/left that it's so hard to tell their statements from our mortal enemies'?
  • Ceremonial voters
t-shirt doctor, you can't be serious when you say that the Mad Mulah had it right. Are you just trolling this board? I can understand the American Idol crowd not understanding the European parlimentary system or the US electoral college, but you try to pass yourself as an educated person. BTW, what IS a t-shirt doctor anyway, someone who handles an airbrush well?

  • TOTUS in Iran?
Maybe TOTUS is moonlighting in Iran...
  • He's right about one thing
"In Western countries, democracy is 100% controlled and people's role is ceremonial."

    Correct.
  • don't like mahmoud but....
When the media purposefully ignores Ron Paul or any other candidate or political party wanting strict adherence to the constitution, and when the media cannot even get correct what candidates or parties are running for the office of the American presidency(omitting parties makes info incorrect...simple fact) and not giving candidates equal speaking time at debates or asking skewed questions in interviews, and even pretending certain candidates are not important enough to cover...then what else is the logical straight forward thinking brain expected to believe than it is a form of attempted control. An attempt to control what you hear and see, and even going beyond it. Not even Hannity could inform us of who was actually running for president during the 2008 election on the Republican side, late into the election even. The media's pathetic limiting or distorting info or screen time on certain candidates during the election is actually the media trying to DECIDE the election, by trying to convince people that their choice are limited. So yes, logically we can call this an attempt to control. Sadly Mahmoud-1 Boortz-0 Let's wake it up in here this morning true conservatives. You cannot tell me that Giuliani and Romney had the same amount of speaking time at the debates as Tancredo and Paul. Boortz is out of touch with reality on this particular section of what Ahmadenijad said.Let's hit the smelling salts to clear our heads of the neo-con fog to see the clarity of logic in actual conservatism.
  • acorn
acorn wouldn't be the only one who falsified our elections. i remember jeb bush who got his brother elected.

all of you who whine about acorn, that's calling the kettle black....
  • Well he is right about ONE thing...
Democracy in the West IS 100% controlled and WE the people are NOTHING to our elites.
  • Dang Jim
    Iranian election
Looks like ACORN has a middle eastern office...
    By Jim

    Ya beat me to it!

Actually American Idol controls our elections.
  • Iranian Protestors
In truth, the demonstrators in Iran have more in common with the founding principles of this nation than most of the population who voted in the last election. Regretably, add to that many, if not, most of our elected and non-elected government leaders; most of our educational leaders; the lap-dog media and certainly, our president.
We should learn the lessons this struggle is likely to "unveil" about our own nation's people and OUR government.
  • he got one thing right
and it's this......In Western countries, democracy is 100% controlled and people's role is ceremonial.
  • Iranian election
Looks like ACORN has a middle eastern office...
  • Democratic Elections
Today, the enemies are upset because a nation has understood its capacity and is turning into a role model for the international community." Could have been written by Obama himself. Now that's change we can believe in.
  • Re: “the number of votes collected was greater than the number of eligible voters “
No doubt Foreshadowing the elections here in 2010.
  • Ahmadinejad Is Nuttier Than Squirrel Sh*t
Do we have some nerd in the Pentagon or NASA who can re-route Kim Jong Il's next missile over to Mahmoud's house?
