I bet you liked Jack Kemp too & thought Robert Welch was all wrong about Eisenhower & Earl Warren, 2 other great rockefeller pseudo republicans. Just think: had the evil interests that CAUSED the war of northern aggression been stopped in time there would be neither an energy tax NOR Gingrich.

By the way, i signed the petition yesterday with no problem. I also called over 25 congressmen. It was interesting how many Republicans were on the fence. As far as Blue dog Democrats, their stay in the congress will be short if they vote for this. Independents wont stand for it.....I hope.

@Bubala - American Solutions isn't GOP, it's tri-partisan (or non-partisan depending on how you look at it).

Calling your representative
Hopefully it is a good thing that my first five attempts to contact the House of Representatives switch board have resulted in a busy tone. Maybe the reaction will be the same as the one for McCain's Immigration bill which overloaded and shut down the switchboard from all the calls.

Tried signing about 20 times. Not one got thru. Kept getting 404 page errors. When are gopers going to get their technical act together? If we can't figure out how to get a simple petition to register, how the hell are we supposed to compete?

Uh, yeah, Dave it raises taxes on anyone with a manufacturing facility or an energy producing plant. That's a tax if they aren't in compliance. The costs of these taxes get passed on to we consumers. Sorry, have you been sleeping in a really dark, quiet room?

Everybody is referring to this as a tax, but I can't find any information to support that. Certainly there are provisions in the bill (such as "modernization" of our energy system) which will require new taxes (or more printing of money).
Is that what people are referring to? Or are they talking about cost increases that will be passed to consumers?

Maybe some of the public believes it's really for the environment. I can't imagine any lawmaker with half a brain feels that way. will pass. The New World Order requires it so it will be passed. No petition will stop it and the American people sure as hell won't stop it. We are not in charge of our lives. Our rulers are in charge. Don't forget who we serve. We serve the banks and the corporations who have taken over our government to meet THEIR needs. We must remember that our government needs us to give more money to these corrupt entities because if we don't how will they be able to control every aspect of our lives? I called my Rep (Tom Price) for the first time. He is against cap and trade.
I hope he has enough like minded associates to quash this tax.
