Meeting this week, the Federal Reserve is unlikely to propose any new efforts to revive the economy. They know the people are sick of unresponsive stimulus and government intervention.

According to Rasmussen, 34% of Americans now strongly disapprove of Obama's handling of the presidency. Take a look at how it is split down party lines.

Have you heard about the little stunt pulled by the New York Times when it wanted to poll people about Obama's healthcare reform?

Senator Diane Feinstein believes that there are not enough votes in the Senate as of right now to pass Obama's healthcare reform plan.

Speaking of healthcare reform, take a look at the "deal" the Democrats struck with the pharmaceutical industry.

George Will explains why we don't need radical healthcare reform. Remember, folks .. it's not about your health it's all about power for politicians in Washington.

Despite current tensions, Iran spent twice as much on U.S. imports during Obama's first months in office as it did during the same period in 2008.

Michael Barone offers his Three Rules of Obama. This is excellent .. a must read.

President Obama is discovering that the promise of "transparency" is easier said than done.

The FDA has now decided that Cheerios is a drug.

Here's an article we've been expecting (it was written by a college professor, so I wouldn't expect much else): Congressional Budget Office is threat to health care reform. What he means is that the truth is a threat to health reform.

I've talked about this on the air ... Atlanta is tearing down parasite housing projects and giving people vouchers to move into private housing around the city.

After last week's little episode, Barbara Boxer refuses to apologize for her "don't call me ma'am, call me senator" remark to a Brigadier General.

Al Sharpton is still hammering Sheriff Joe Arpaio about his illegal immigration crackdown. Now Sharpton wants to videotape alleged racial profiling by the sheriff's office.

Barack Obama has the environmentalists' thongs in a wad over his failure to protect 60 million acres of federal woodlands.

Government waste: the National Institutes of Health is spending nearly half a million dollars to determine why men don't like to wear condoms.

What others are saying

  • Presidents and "vacations"
Frank, this "mindless sheep" will respond to the comment into which you put so little thought. The President of the United States does not take a vacation - ever. Do you really think when the President goes to Camp David that he sits around drinking beer, fishing, or doing nothing all the time? Sure he may relax a few hours of the day, but he still gets daily briefings on a whole range of topics, and can be reached at a moment's notice at any time of the day. Not to mention traveling to and from destinations in Air Force One - which is probably a better command and control center than the ~200 year old White House.

No matter where he is, or whatever he is doing, the President of the United States works 24/7/52/4 (1461 days) without a vacation. Think about that next time you post your attacks when you should be working yourself.
  • The Condom Project
    Where so I sign up?
  • Further down on the Newsbusters page is a much bigger story on the NYT.
In an item by Mithridate Ombud, the NYT had one of their reporters kidnapped by terrorists in Kabul over 7 months ago. They and at least 40 other news outlets that knew about it, kept it secret the whole time. That’s textbook anti-terrorism, and they did the right thing.

My only problem is they suddenly ‘forget’ when the victim is anybody but a journalist, and play right into the terrorists’ propaganda game, endangering lives and encouraging terrorism. Their sudden concern for not adding to the terrorists’ playbook is touching, but where was it in the 8 years prior, when they added as much as anybody, and more than most? The things the nyt added to the terrorists’ playbook endangered all of us (and still does), not just one of their reporters.
  • Frank and Arpaio
Frank, those figures on Bush' vacation are bogus because (1) they include weekends; and (2) the president is never really on vacation. Bush did business at the ranch while on "vacation".

Regarding Arpaio: this is a man who wanted to surround his city with cop cars and search every vehicle and every person coming in, probably cause or no. He's also had to pay out millions to people, including US citizens, who have died or been seriously injured in his prisons. Don't let the fact he hits illegals blind you to his hatred of even basic Constitutional liberties.
  • New York Times
    Shouldn't it be

New Yellow Times. Creating news the old fashion way, by creating it.
  • New York Times and polling
We have freedom of the press, and so anything can be written and printed.

But truth and accuracy in news reporting is earned by those who view, read and utilize their articles and stories.

Therefore, future issues of the New York Times should be found in the fiction section of your local library.
  • This a make a me happy!!!
    The Federal Reserve
Oh, what a joyous subject for me, because I get to educate twits like Gayvin and Stanley on how ignorant they are. As long as we stay on top of this subject, we will get HR1207 pushed through Congress and we can say ADIOS to Ben Bernanke.
    By LiberalHater

    GO HR1207!!! But quickly....
  • Mike and Jacob
    Arpaio
Why do you guys like Sheriff Apraio so much? The man is a vicious drug warrior who thinks his cops should be allowed to search anyone they want for drugs. He has no concept of the Constitution or liberty. He's just an authoritarian. That he agrees with you on one issue (immigration) does not make him a good guy.
    By MikeS

It's the law he's enforcing! He has said if the law changes, he will respect that. So don't condemn the man for doing his job. He's one of a handful who is.
  • NYT stunt
Funny how the left is soooo concerned about most radio talk show hosts be conservative that they want to re-enact the Fairness Doctrine. Most of what the talk show hosts say is subjective and open to interpretation. But when when a poll that purports to be objective biases itself with fraudulent numbers in favor of something the left is for - we hear no calls for retractions or media watchdogging at all.
  • Mike S
I agree with you to some extent. On a libertarian level, Arpaio is a nightmare. However, his stance on illegal immigration is a good one. His support largely comes from the idea that "the enemy of my enemy can be considered a friend"
  • condoms
Hey give me the 1/2 mil, and I can tell you why guys don't like to wear condoms. You don't need a study for that. I'm a female and I can answer that one, for pete's sake! Decreased sensitivity, and having to take the time to put one on kind of messes with the mood.

There! Nuff said! Where's my money?

What I really want to know, is how does the government justify the money given to studies like this? The deal with the Argentinian gays and Chinese hookers wasn't bad enough??? Let's just pile some more stupid on top of even more stupid. I pay taxes for this??? These idiots have GOT to go. Vote out all the incumbents!
  • Bush v Obama, 1st 6 months in office
    According to:
    newsaic.com/f911chap1-4.html#vacation
Bush by Aug 1,2001 had spent 42% of his time or 54 days in office on vacation, by either going to,coming back from and time spent at his dude ranch!
Bush approval rated had dropped and had hovered around 50% for most of his first 6 months in office.
Just thought I'd let you mindless sheep know!
  • Housing Vouchers
Let's say you have a cancer the size of a marble. You divide the tumor into individual cancer cells and distribute them evenly throughout the body. How, for the love of God, is this an improvement?!
  • vicious drug warrior?
I love that. Because Arpaio is fighting against illegal drugs entering this country, he is a vicious drug warrior? So I guess that makes the people he's fighting victims? His concept of the constitution is right on: It applies to US citizens.

Al Sharpton needs to put down his bullhorn, pick up an assualt rifle and make himself useful in the fight that Sherriff Joe is fighting. But the only thing he sees wrong is that all of the criminals are the same color? What an a$$.
  • Mike S
Were you being sarcastic, cause now I like this guy more than evvah! As I recall, he is doing the job his constituants elected him to do, a rarity in this day and age. Sharpton is a race-pimp victocrat who has never had a real job. Why doesn't he just go away? Or better yet, take his little "train" to DC and clean that place up. What a dump.
  • Re: 'the truth is a threat to health reform'
More like the TRUTH is a threat to all the aspects of Statism!!!!!
  • Condom use
I hate to play devil's advocate but I would point out the condom study is a peer-reviewed study that will eventually have to publish results or endanger its future funding. It sounds stupid, right? But suppose their research finds a way to improve condoms to increase use. It has only has to prevent a handful of AIDS cases to pay for itself.

Why don't let scientific merit be judged by scientists, not know-it-all politicians?
  • not enough votes in Senate to pass Obama's healthcare
    Hallelujah!
  • Not just Cherrios
They need to delcare all food as a drug since it provides some type of health care that manufactured drugs do such as keeping one alive. Then everyone will have to have a prescription for food. Junk food, soda, beer, wine could all be eliminated. We can all be vegans since the most extreme would end up in control. Think of the wonders of taking such action. Think of the protection of the children that could happen. Think how fully intrusive government could be.
  • The Federal Reserve
Oh, what a joyous subject for me, because I get to educate twits like Gayvin and Stanley on how ignorant they are. As long as we stay on top of this subject, we will get HR1207 pushed through Congress and we can say ADIOS to Ben Bernanke.
  • Cheerios
Studies have shown eating a lot of natural fiber will also lower cholesterol. Will apples, carrots, and pears now be classified as a drug?
  • Polls - I don't believe any of them.
The Polls are a JOKE. Only 34% of the people have an issue with the way O'stupid is doing things? Come on give me a break. Go check out the poll on Facebook, only 30% of the people think he is doing things RIGHT!! Its just a numbers game. People get a clue.
  • Noel Sheppard writes on the NYTs article
"Why are so-called news outlets allowed to get away with such obvious deceit with total impunity?"

Answer? They are in bed with the left. The Democrats and the current government are proud of their prodigies - keeps them in power and in control - change they believe in.
  • half a mill for condom study...and thats the good news
read further in the article and you'll find the $400k plus spent on condoms is actually the saner waste of money than the others listed, such as 2.6 MILLION DOLLARS TO STUDY CHINA'S DRUNKEN WHORES PROBLEMS OF DRINKING ON THE JOB???? OR $400,000 TO STUDY WHY DRUNK GAYS HAVE RISKY SEX IN BUENOS AIRES???? or WHY THAILAND'S DRUG ADDICT/PROSTITUTES ARE AT RISK FOR HIV??? W.T.F.??!!?? First off WHY ARE WE SPENDING A FORTUNE FOR ANSWERS TO THE OBVIOUS BUT EVEN MORE IMPORTANTLY IS WHY ARE WE AMERICAN TAXPAYERS PAYING FOR STUPID ASSININE RESEARCH FOR CHINA,THAILAND AND BUENOS AIRES???NO WONDER THIS COUNTRY IS BROKE!!!WILL THE INSANITY EVER STOP!!FIND WHO'S REPONSIBLE FOR FUNDING THIS CRAP AND JUST SHOOT THEM CAUSE THEY OBVIOUSLY ARE ALREADY BRAIN DEAD.
  • Arpaio
Why do you guys like Sheriff Apraio so much? The man is a vicious drug warrior who thinks his cops should be allowed to search anyone they want for drugs. He has no concept of the Constitution or liberty. He's just an authoritarian. That he agrees with you on one issue (immigration) does not make him a good guy.
  • Cheerios...
    Change you can believe in!

Couldn't get them with the truth in advertising so they go after them with the FDA - F'up Dimwits Association.
  • Don't mess with the O's!!!!
There are a few things in life you just don't mess with...

Bugs Bunny, Mid Century Modern architecture and CHEERIOS!!!!
  • Cheerios story
My husband told me about that Cheerios as a drug thing a few days ago and I though he was joking.
    This is getting nuts!
