This just in: more details on the death of David Carradine. What, too soon?

The Senate Judiciary Committee has released Sonia Sotomayor's official questionnaire, for any of you who are interested in reading it.

The House is going to start posting representatives' expense reports online. You know, they have tried this with earmarks already .. the trick is to make these documents impossible to find for the average government-educated constituent. Searchable format? My guess is no.

Tax hikes in state taxes are coming soon. More than $23 billion in state tax hikes have been proposed around the nation.

When North Korea puts two American journalists on trial for illegal entry, who do you send to negotiate their release? None other than Al Gore. Was Jesse Jackson busy?

As if the Democrats didn't have enough plans for America, Harry Reid is determined to pass immigration reform this year. Immigration reform, as you know, means amnesty.

In the battle over stimulus money in South Carolina, the state Supreme Court has ordered Mark Sanford to apply for the money.

I know that you are incredibly upset to hear that Barack Obama is just killing the progressive movement in this country.

Senate Democrats are trying to convince the White House to allow Gitmo detainees to be brought to the US.

Did you know that the city of Austin now requires an energy conservation audit by a government bureaucrat before you can sell a home?

AIG is looking to charities in order to pay its executive bonuses.

Imagine this ... a hideous, evil, filthy corporation has the audacity to create 22,000 new jobs in 2009. Yes, I said corporation and not government.

How about $112,500 a year for a "chief inspiration officer" ... only government education.

Just what we need .. yet another Obama Czar. This one is tasked with cleaning up the Great Lakes.

For all you old farts confused by texting shorthand, this list should be able to translate anything you come across.

What others are saying

  • walmart
I wish people would quit running Walmart's press releases as if they were well researched news stories. I expect a little better neal.
  • Full Amnesty now
I believe in Full Amnesty for illegal immegrants. We need to push through a date, say Jan 1st, 2010. Full Amnesty will be granted then: Any illegal who leaves American soil by this date, we will NOT find you, extradite you, and prosecute you for criminal trespass. And THAT'S what I call Amnesty!
  • Illegal Workers & the Economy????
Blade that's kinda like saying crack should be legal because the crackheads buy it and to enforce the drug laws would hurt the pushers?
  • Reid
Next year is an election year and if Reid does not ram immigration "reform" through this year, we won't be able to do so until 2011.
  • American + German Leader meeting = ?
    The Urkel and Merkel Show.

Hopefully a "wise German woman" will
    set Urkel straight.
  • Not a Victim
Why does it seem that everything Sotomayor does has to be about helping minorities or women "overcome"? As a woman I would appreciate it if she kept her personal opinions from inflencing her legal decisions. However, I know this is impossible for someone that continues to view women and minorities as victims incapable of competing equally with the big, bad, white man. (Please note sarcasm, for those that would otherwise see nothing wrong with this statement)
  • Gore
Gore talks to the Gargoyle... I guess you need a nutjob to talk to a nutjob!
  • Yes, too soon.
I hope he kung fu's your butt when you arrive.
  • Closing Git-Mo
At this time since we already have accomodations for these terrorists why spend any more $$$ bringing them to the states? We've already coughed up the tax payer $$$ for computers/internet so that they can re-enter "society".
  • Al Gore
We could only hope the the Dear Leader would charge Al Gore with espionage as well. Mr. Gore than could witness first hand what the world would look like if his global warming initiatatives were implemented.
  • Immigration Reform
Neal, I'm a Libertarian and love you, but immigration reform would be a good thing, especially here in North Carolina. It would help the economy and stabilize things for the small businesses, farmers, landlords, shops, mechanics, etc. that rely on these people. It would provide a big buffer of new employees paying into Social Security and Medicare right when the baby boomers are about to start drawing those funds down. Yes, most of these people entered illegally, but since the Feds didn't do their border job correctly, our whole economy has adjusted to expect these people here as workers and customers.
  • Harry Reid and Immigration Reform
Odd that we live in a nation where it can be illegal for a citizen to exercise a Constitutional Right to keep and bear arms, Congress believes it has the authority to pass non-uniform rules for immigration even though the Constitution says "uniform rules", and laws currently on the books dealing with illegal immigration aren't enforced to kick out millions of invaders when we have nearly 10% unemployment, and massive budget deficits at state and federal levels.

Do these guys want to destroy America? to kill the goose that is laying those golden eggs? Looks like it to me.
  • Carradine
    I'll miss him, fun actor.

But did that guy in the comic take off his shades to reveal another pair underneath?? lol!
  • PBO killing lib-prog movement
You break it, you bought it. It's your country now. Show us how freakin' smart you are already.
  • Sotomayor
On page 12 about halfway down it shows that Sotomayor was a Member of La Raza, nice...
  • South Carolina
Casey Edwards is an idiot and SC is losing their minds. It's just like the Fed, the state Supreme Court "owes" the state legislature and it's payback time. Oh look, the little state is acting just like it's big brother "O"!!!

    morons
  • Gore
Does this mark the turning point where Al becomes as irrelevant as Jesse?
  • and this news....
    http://www.cbsnews.com/blogs/2009/06/05/business/econwatch/entry5064519.shtml

Ballmer said on Wednesday that if Congress enacts President Obama's plans to impose higher corporate taxes, it makes sense for Microsoft to move jobs offshore.

    uh CNN? Reporting this?
