"Every government interference in the economy consists of giving an unearned benefit, extorted by force, to some men at the expense of others." Ayn Rand | | Nobody's listening. |

With younger generations graduating college and entering the workforce, where are they now turning to for job opportunities? The government. Yep, and this is just the way Barack Obama wants it to be. Wall Street and the private sector are losing their luster, thanks to the economic crisis and the demonizing of wealth, corporations or anything that is deemed "evil" by the liberal media. So we are producing a generation of government bureaucrats. They know where the power and prestige is .. and that's where they're heading.
Labor department data shows that employment in Washington has increased since 2008, even though other sectors have lost jobs. Economist Marisa Di Natale says, "D.C. is the only place where we can point to that is actually adding jobs right now, and we also know that the government is hiring thousands of people to oversee both the (economic) stimulus package and all the associated projects."
Now get this. The demonizing of Wall Street and the economic crisis are not the only reasons why graduates are turning to the government for unemployment. There is another reason that Barack Obama would be very proud of: it has because really "cool" to "give back" to your community. For example, Britini Wilcher (her real name, not a stripper name) is a recent graduate of a college here in Atlanta. She says, "It's becoming trendy to take your community into your hands and give back, which is a good thing ... People are empowered by the current political climate."
No ... I won't go into my rant on this "give back" crap. It's just what you would expect from a newly minted college grad. These new college grads are just the type that would be thrilled by the current political climate. They're fresh out of school. Their entire life's experience has been one of a culture of government. Government schools -- Government universities -- Government employees at every turn telling them what's what and what's not and how the world works ... from the government perspective. So, when the government grows stronger of course Britini and her ilk are going to feel empowered.
Gag me. But that is the America we are raising. These are the future leaders of this country.
