Dead or Alive
I'm not 100% sure, of course, but I believe he's dead. Before the Afghan War, this megalomaniac would video himself taking a dump to air on Al Jazeera. Since then, all we get are occasional cassette recordings. There's reason to believe that he's enjoying his 72 white raisins.
Likely he's dead, most likely he's too badly maimed to put in front of a camera.
Like I've said all along, jihadis don't want peace, will never lack an excuse to come kill us, and will do so until they are dead. They lose support when those that go with them come back in boxes, if they come back at all, while American resolve stands. That's what discourages them and hurts their recruiting. Passivity and retreat only encourage them and swell their ranks.
There are many places you don't walk projecting unobservant, weak, and wealthy victim, unless you want to be attacked. The dp is as ignorant and gullible of the world (to be charitable, if they aren't worse and doing it on purpose), as the GOP is of the dp (to be charitable,…cue Red, Ivan, and T-Doc, lol). It takes two active participants to fight, but it only takes one active participant for a murder, robbery, or beating.

I suspect OBL is long dead, but if he weren't, would it matter? He's trapped in a cave somewhere, unbale to leave or do anything.
Mistake
These "reporters" make the mistake of thinking Al Qaeda is running scared, that issuance of two messages in recent days means they are desperate.
Have we forgotten who we are dealing with? Nothing scares these guys, they would LOVE to die in the honor of their religion, they welcome conflict.
Once again, we are setting ourselves up for a very sad awakening.
