karen bass with barack obamaCalifornia State Assembly Speaker Karen Bass, a Democrat, did an interview with the LA Times. Thought you may enjoy her response to the following question:

How do you think conservative talk radio has affected the Legislature's work?

Bass' response: The Republicans were essentially threatened and terrorized against voting for revenue. Now [some] are facing recalls. They operate under a terrorist threat: "You vote for revenue and your career is over." I don't know why we allow that kind of terrorism to exist. I guess it's about free speech, but it's extremely unfair.

Now that's a first. I know that politicians don't particularly like talk radio, and I know that many politicians are quietly plotting the demise of conservative talk radio wherever they can find it and by whatever means. This, though, is the first time I've heard a politician call talk show hosts terrorists. She wonders how in the world we can allow talk radio terrorism to exist.

OK .. so this is just one barking moonbat from California ... though a powerful one. Let's see how long it takes for the rest of the left to pick up the "terrorism" gambit.

    ....we're not as educated here in Alabama-stan as the good folk of California(that can't be news to anyone).

    See, I always thought the way ANY government acquired the funds for operation was through the consent of the governed, i.e. TAXES.....it isn't REVENUE.....I'm getting flashes of George Carlin's bit of how changing the words removes the pain & meaning.

    His example started with SHELL SHOCK in WWI; progressed to BATTLE FATIGUE in WWII & is now POST TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER......more syllables, tougher to visualize the true meaning...tax or revenue (1 to 3 syllables)

    Everybody knows you gotta have revenue before you can make profits and pay taxes on them. How’s revenue in CA, up, down, or with a S.A. Speaker like Karen Bass, is that a rhetorical question?

    All you conservative folks resorting to the recall and the ballot are commiting terrorist acts, muslims that target and mass murder civilians are merely creating “man-caused disasters.” Shouldn’t that be person-caused disasters? Why didn’t NOW pitch a fit over that obvious slight?

    Copy is not old enough to know the origination of this term. Blowing up buildings was the beginning and yes I would consider that "terrorism".

    Oh how I wish they were voting for what their leaders tell them, since it is us the voters who are SUPPOSED to be their leaders and telling them how to vote.

    As far as being the party of no: when "O" gives a directive to Congress (Pelosi/Reid) that is truly good for our nations economy and constitutional rights, THEN you can expect us to support a yes vote. Until then, we will target any and all who destroy our nation with their vote.

    Wow,
    I never realized that destroying private property was a *PROPER* method of protest. ECO-Terrorism is the destruction of private property (ie fire-bombing resort hotels, so-called McMansions, and evil SUV dealerships). It is also the misguided release of test animals into the wild carrying who knows what disease, then burning down the lab. ECO-Terrorism is REAL.

    Holding a Politician accountable for their votes and policies is what this country was founded on! Get real and pull your head out of your nether regions!

    Why would we want politicians to vote to spend money when there is no money? If the federal govt wants to spend 1 million dollars but there is only 11 trillion dollar debt...then why pretend there exists 1 million dollars and vote in favor of spending it?

    Also had it occured to you that some people vote against Obama because 90% of what he talks about can't be found in the constitution? You realize the constitution is America's rule of law and lays out what the federal govt is supposed to do right? Why would a politician vote for something Obama wants, when it has nothing to do with being president of America?

    With what, exactly, should an elected official be threatened other than job loss? What better way of holding these people accountable than the prospect of having to seek honest employment? This nincompoop thinks that it's terrorism to tell a politician that they will loose their job if don't vote a particular way on one or more pieces of legislation.     They are now calling talk radio people terrorists. That is awesome. Soon they will be able to silence the voices on talk radio cause they feed terroristic ideas to common folk. That makes sense. Afterall Hitler did take over the media in Germany around time he took away basic freedoms and gun rights. Gotta love how fascist our government has become.     So in other words this moron Bass believes that the ideas of Jefferson and Washington, and the concept of following the rule of law equals terrorism. Strangely enough you can say that many people on the supposed right believe this also.Just look at how the neo-cons treated a actual conservative like Ron Paul. What the hell revenue is this Bass idiot even talking about? 11 trillion in debt does not mean that there exists revenue to vote on...my God the lunatics are running the assylum. I find it interesting that the definition we see of terrorism brought on by Bush and the anti-American Patriot Act would have probably had the British labeling the founding fathers of America to be terrorists back in 1776. Also why is it that when middle eastern civilians commit in their own respective countries the same revolutionary type violence the founders commited, suddenly they are called terrorists?
