BARNEY CAN'T HANDLE THE HEAT

Yesterday Barney Frank was being interviewed by CNBC about these executive compensation levels.  Between all the spit and mumbling, you quickly notice that Barney Frank is really irritated.  After all, he's two damned important to have to stand around and answer to the people.  Another explanation is that he realized he was being bested by the interviewer, Mark Haines of CNBC, and wanted to get the hell out of there.  He knows that he can't rationally explain why the government should be able to set any type of guidelines or regulations on pay levels at private companies.

So Barney Frank, the quintessential void surrounded by a sphincter muscle, throws a hissy fit and declares the interview to be over and rips out his earpiece.  Haines' response, "Fine, goodbye sir. We'll manage without you."  Ain't that the truth.

What others are saying

  • Executive Pay
Where in any laws or the Constitution does the President or Congress have the right to do this. And what is wrong with the American people?
  • barney
I bet the folks of his state re-elect the creep
  • The reason why they keep re-electing Barney
it gets him out of the state of Massachusetts while Congress is in session.
  • Clearly Barney was catching....
...hell, that is. If it’s unhinged right-wing bigotry to hate fraud, waste, and abuse, to despise the flagrant overstepping of one’s constitutional authority, to stand up for free-market capitalism, and to question the intelligence of a lawmaker who has a brothel run out of his home, then count me in.

It's about time "we the people" step up and kick this clown act of a congressman out of power.
  • Frank interrupts first
The interviewer never gets the first question out before Frank interrupts to discount the prelude to the question.

MARK HAINES: Mr. Chairman, though, I hate to burn down the house here but it seems to me that you're dealing with a model that no longer exists. Because shareholders, we don't have mom and pop sitting at home holding these shares. These shares are primarily in mutual funds and the ownership is a derivate instrument, and I just don't see how you get the --

BARNEY FRANK: Well I don't understand how you think that burns down the house and why you think doing nothing is --

HAINES: Well, you talk about shareholder participation --

    FRANK May I respond, sir?

He interrupts first then gets all indignant? Please.
  • i messed up.....
barnyard waz late to have sum face time with nancy.....not a footlong massage
  • The light of truth
Any time Barney gets a tough question he acts like he is to important to answer the question and is incredulous that someone would even dare ask him a hard one. What a waste of air he is.
  • A Libertarian
Ditto! Time for a fresh change in Washington.

Sit down Barney, your employers have a few more questions....
  • Bawney Fwank
Why are people still electing these morons? This douche bag is the epitome of today's politician.
  • Barney Can't Handle the Heat
I think the American people ought to demand investigation of the pay and benefits of Congressional memebers. What is there insurance program, and retirement program? Most "Private sector" joba, an employeee must work many years to have retirement benefits and compensation. The employee also must contribute to the plans. I also believe there should be term limits.
  • Barney
I watched that interview as well as one that he did on CNBC the day before. He gets very angry when he gets "interupted" when he is speaking. He however, refuses to hear questions asked of him if they don't align with his motives. He will cut the questioner off within a few words. I once heard that the wisest people are the one's that listen without interuption. Seems to me that Barney isn't very wise. How this excuse for a leader gets continually sent back to Congress is beyond me. Shame on the people of Massachusetts for extending this fool any privilege of power. He's a very dangerous man and needs to be shown the door ASAP
  • he's late he's late......................................
barnyard frankfooter was late for his massage. he was going to give nancy a foot of massage...........
  • Bfarney Fwank
Stick a dork in him- he's done.
  • If barney had an (R) after his name...
...the msm would have nailed his hide to the smoke house wall a long time ago. They would certainly be in full-pack attack after this interview.

Barney won't answer to the msm or the rest of the country because as a democrat party politician he doesn't have to.

He does still answer to his constituents, who reelect him, and he reflects on them. They must be as bad and crooked as barney.

His speeches defending will bill's bombing of Serbia (who never attacked us or threatened us), under false pretenses (the muslim dead in Kosovo were overestimated by a factor of 100, and were almost all military aged men), without congressional or UN approval were very entertaining. The spit was flyin' when he was screaming the Republicans were traitors because a few of their junior members objected to wild bill's obvious scandal distraction. Ironically, we found more men women, children, and even infants in saddam’s mass graves than they claimed were in Milosovich’s. If slobberin' barney had an (R) after his name we would have seen those speeches again when he did the exact thing he condemned and pitched such a hissy fit over a few years later with saddam.

We wouldn't have to go to you-tube to see barney and Co. protect and defend the policies that wrecked F and F and AIG either, it would be on the msm news every time F and F, or AIG were mentioned.
  • Barney "The Spitter" Frank
I watched the interview and take exception to your remarks. Mark Haines is very similar to Sean Hannity...not allowing the other person to complete their answer to the interviewers question. I am not a fan of any Dam-o-crat; I only ask for the respect to be both ways...whether the interviewer or the quest, let them ask unhindered and let them answer unhindered. I quit listening to Sean Hannity a long time ago because of that.
  • wait, what?
"two important"? Is that some sort of double entendre? If so, it's not too funny.
  • Interviews
I think that Mark Haines makes an excellent point about the shareholders. With shareholder ownership as a derivative instrument (mutual funds) this may not be an ideal way to manage board and executive performance (and pay). Do I think that some of the executives and board are overpaid? Absolutely. I question if a comparable performance could have been achieved with a slightly less expensive arrangement. However, most of these individuals are incredibly skilled and dedicated to their work in an almost unhealthy manner. I don't want someone managing a company who works his 8 hours a day and leaves.

However, I do understand some of why Barney Frank had reason to leave. He appeared to be interrupted several times. This is a tactic used by many people for argumentative points and talk shows. This is not a good debating tactic and turns me off of the interviewer. Most talk show hosts do this as well, sometimes insulting the talker rather than focusing on the issue. Of course, some people are so emotionally vested in an issue that they are not open to changing their minds, but I think rational discourse is what I usually prefer.
  • Of course he can't handle the heat...
Liberals in general have almost no logic and they will always lose debates against rational Conservatives. Frank knows he is wrong on every single issue, but they are trying to change the rules of the game so that in the future they can be on the right side of any issue just by reinventing the rules. They rely heavily no our media cycles to confuse the American people and take advantage of their short memories. They have entire manuals written that help them promote disinformation and spread propaganda.
  • Barney
Barney, like so many of the DC elite, has forgotten that he is the hired help.

A "void surrounded by sphincter?" Neal's got a way with words!
  • Slobbering Barney=Best political nickname
If the citizens EVER decide to rise up, this is one of the first men who should be dragged from his office and shot in the street. I mean, uh, peaceably removed.
    His arrogance is infuriating.
  • Bawney Fwank
Ok fine Barney. How about we as the shareholders/tax payers have a say in our elected officials pay structure. Why are they allowed to take a vote amongst themselves on a pay raise without us haing a say?! What a bunch of a holes!!
  • Frank
We have known for years the Barney is both corrupt and not too bright. I cannot believe he chose to go on a network that specializes on reporting about business. Haines was talking way above Frank's understanding of the market and he was frustrated because his canned responses were not working. "Fine, goodbye sir. We'll manage without you.” is what every American businessman wants to say to Frank and his committee.
  • close captioning required
I don't want to get into the questionable ethics and morals of Barney(thats been disscussed to death).I just am amazed at the way this man speaks.Did he ever make a speech that closed captioning wasn't nessesary to understand what the hell he was saying.Come on Barney spit out the marbles please or just hand out a printed out line so we can have some idea of what your bitchin' about.
  • Barney Frank
Oh, Barney can handle the heat alright. Barney likes it HOT. Barney likes it ROUGH. LOL
  • Sphincter Muscle?
Neal, I hope that you were talking about his mouth.
  • Leftists arguments can stand examination
Whether you like Limbaugh, Boortz and Hannity... or not. They all have this valid point. The leftist agenda can not stand up to a logical examination.

I saw that video. When Barney Frank had to logically defend his position, he could not and left the camera in a temper tantrum.

Neal is right when he says that Libertarianism will save this country as both political parties are just about mirror images of each other. You have Democrats and you have "Democrat-light", i.e. the Republicans.
