As for Twitter (and Facebook, AND MySpace)... OK, so Obama and/or the White House enjoys a huge following. That is not in question. However (and please, this is my own opinion, and my own concern), what happens when some "hate-filled" hacker launches a computer virus into Twitter/Facebook/MySpace in an attempt to disrupt certain DC-based computers connected to the system??
These social networking sites are worldwide. The virus in question could become a cyber-pandemic within seconds.
Granted, the hacker would likely be identified within those same seconds, and apprehended in realtime shortly thereafter.
He would still become a worldwide sensation of the hacker underworld.
As I said... Just a thought
Newspaper bailout
I am utterly shocked that the Democrats want to come to the assistance of the newspaper industry. Finally we have a chance to reduce the use of trees, in this case for newsprint. What self-respecting liberal would be opposed to this? Please let John Kerry know that he is on the wrong side of history. I am sure that he will change his mind once he is apprised of this disconnect on his part and, therefore, will let the Boston Globule go bankrupt.
