Obama says that we can accomplish new auto emissions standards if we "work together." The Wall Street Journal has a message for him: good luck with that.

Here is a series of exchanges and quotes from tax cheat Tim Geithner. Read this, and then tell me that you still want this guy in charge.

While we are at it ...... watch this video of Barney Frank and then tell me if you can understand anything slobbering Barney is saying. If you can, call and enlighten me --- or just leave a comment right here. By the way ... what poor sap has the job of wiping down the microphones after Slobbering Barney gives a press briefing.

The Congress has officially passed the credit card bill that would impose sweeping new limits on the credit card industry. This is not going to work out all that well. Step number one? Credit card companies will start closing marginal accounts.

The Obama administration is one step closer to having a 'regulatory czar.' His name will be Wesley Mouch.

Now they tell us ... Press Secretary Robert Gibbs says that closing Gitmo was a "hasty decision." Duhhhhhhhh.

Three of Chrysler's secured creditors want the court to halt the restructuring plan on the grounds that it violates their legal rights and the government's authority.

Not that Obama doesn't have enough on his plate, but Iran has test-fired a missile capable of striking Israel. PrezBO will give Achmanutjob a call today and settle things down.

The Obama administration has now decided that California can have its stimulus money after threatening to withhold it because the state cut wages for healthcare workers.

No matter how many of these articles you read about the repercussions of Obama's emissions standards ... I never read one that says it will be a good idea.

How do Republicans plan on holding up this cap-and-trade bill? By reading all 946 pages .. all aloud. That's after they've hired the speed reader to comb through the darn thing.

Chuck Schumer has decided that now is the time to change our immigration laws.

State senators in South Carolina are "torn" on a resolution affirming the 10th Amendment. What's there to be torn about? Must be government educated ... maybe they don't know what the 10th Amendment says.

Here's an interesting report that found that our air quality actually improved during the Bush administration. That's a good reason to force the automakers to build go-carts.

A bunch of America's evil, filthy rich got together for a secret meeting recently ... and now the moonbats have begun concocting their conspiracy theories that these rich people are plotting to take over the world. Me? First, I wasn't invited. Second .. I think we would be much better off if we just let poor people run the show.

Joe Biden now says that he was fired on by Bosnian snipers ... wait, haven't we heard this one already? Oh .. and so was Hillary, by the way. Though I don't think those snipers were Bosnians. I think they were from Turdistan or something.

Here's some good news ... Illegal border crossings are down 27% since last year. The bad news is that there is a lot of sheet rock around that needs to be hung.

What others are saying

  • Wesley Mouch
Wesley Mouch.......Ouch! I wonder how many will get that one?
  • republicans who cant read
Thankyou for proving that democrats aren't the only ones who can twist what someone says to think they can win an arguement. Amazing.

My arguement is that Neal is always crying supply and demand supply and demand. YES oil companies can charge whatever they want, that is not my complaint. MY complaint is that if you are going to charge whatever you want then don't call it supply and demand when supply clearly has nothing to do with the demand. Call it "we charge's what's we wants".
  • Frank and Bachman
I don't understand the problem here- she's trying to get a bill passed or whatever to stop ACORN from getting money, and all that big gay retard is saying is "why didn't they do that back then? why didn't they ask Bush then?"

Why not just fix it now? Duh.

I have nothing against gays, btw- but eveytime I see him talk, it creeps me out because I can just see him saying "Let me take my teeth out and then I'll rock your world". Heebie.Jeebies.
  • Mike
"Its not enough to make a profit, if you arent making more than last year, then you really didnt do anything "

So it isn't enough, stockholders DEMAND that there be an increase each year. Infact, the head of ANY company, not just oil, aims for year over year profit increases. Basic economics.
  • How many czars
has Obama appointed? Do you think he'll hit the 150,000 mark? After all, the man said he would create jobs. According to Dictionary.com, the third definition of a czar is "An appointed official having special powers to regulate or supervise an activity."

Beginning to sound like the Soviet's State Political Directive - the SS.
  • CAFE standards
Were I running an auto manufactory, I would be planning to offer with every gas guzzler a "free" little two-passenger tin-can-car that only goes 30 mph tops, gets 70 mpg, and accellerates from zero to 30 in about 40 seconds. My C.A.F.E. would be really good, tho.
  • Reg. Czar
Just another Chigago-style thug. Regulating, apparantly, rules put out by federal agencies. Obama will, through this czar, have dictatorial power with zero accountability. Anyone who doesn't have cold chills is a blind, crazy fool. I honestly don't know what to do protect myself. America is finished as we know it.
  • lets have a show of hands....
How many of you are really tired of hearing the phrase "..too jumpstart our economy..." attached to every stupid idea coming out of our government. Its as bad as the previous administrations use of "..since 9-11.." on everything.
  • Sheet Rock
Here's some good news ... Illegal border crossings are down 27% since last year. The bad news is that there is a lot of sheet rock around that needs to be hung.

That's OK. All that gypsum board was imported from China and is defective due to chemicals that shouldn't be there.
  • Doc
Great video, put it on my blog. Two hours long !!! Will watch the rest later.
  • Barney Frank
Barney Frank is defending ACORN by... BLAMING BUSH!

Let's just have congress pass a resolution blaming Bush for EVERYTHING and be done with it. Faucet leaks, diarrhea, solar radiation, crop circles....

It's always Bush's fault.. Congress said so, and we all know THEY never lie!

    -
  • Higher CAFE Requirements
Wait a minute. The gubmint has to provide vouchers to people so they can continue to watch TV. How the heck are they going to pay $1,300 extra for their efficient car? Here comes another tax on the productive and a voucher for the leeches.
  • South Carolina Senators torn on states’ rights resolution
You boys are going to mess around and start another one. :-D
  • immigration law reform
you won't get any action from republicans. the big business likes those illegal aliens. they work cheap.
  • Barry Speaks
Does he ever show up on time for anything? He is talking about following the Constitution while he is doing everything in his power to shred it. He must have learned to talk out of both sides of his mouth from turning from side to side to read his teleprompter.
  • Barney
Rush refers to Barney as Sylvester (of Bugs Bunny fame)
  • To Mike:
Mike: Read some economics books. Supply and demand always determines prices except for government intervention, which only screws things up. And that's beside the point. I don't care what they charge. It's their oil. It's not yours, and you do not have a right to it. They are not "screwing" you. You can choose not to buy their product if you think it is priced too high. If you don't like it, go bust your butt, invest tons of money, and take the risks they did to go get your own oil.

I am sick and tired of the entitlement mentality of the ignorant masses.
  • Cafe Standards
that's right - say bye-bye to the market-driven economy. That's what everything is about right now under the BHO admin. Know what? I'm going to give up a lot of things before I drive something with less than 8 jugs pounding under the hood!
  • Thug Nation
Just read a little article on WSJ about a tax-payer funded group that "terrorizes" bank execs in hoped of modifying loans. It's nothing short of thug tactics in order to violate the rule of law and break contracts. Nobody put a gun to these people's head and forced them to sign a 12% mortgage note. It's just disgusting.

Anyhow, read it yourself. This is what Obama is bringing to America and represents our next step to becoming a 3rd world country.

    http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124276441945635993.html
  • Jim Smith
The libs will never allow them to pay off their government debt.

they won't be able to pay off the government debt because there isn't enough money to do it.
if the government orders 10 billion to created by the federal reserve bank, the federal reserve bank creates it, and sends over to the government. with interest. were do we get this interest payment from? we don't. we're enslaved by debt.
    watch this and learn:http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=7065205277695921912

oh. yeah. its not just the liberals. they'll are in this together
  • Geithner and...general aviation?
Ok, the article had nothing to do with Neal's favorite hobby, but one of the adds on the paged did. And it featured none other than Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) himself! Wish I could find the YouTube version to watch the whole thing, but it sounded like he was warning about upcoming taxes and legislation imposed on the GA crowd.
  • Barry Speaks
Barry is talking and stocks are falling. It's all because of the previous administration. How long will that story work. I guess if it works til he becomes El Presidente for life. Then you all will be happy little sheep. This is going to be good.
  • And so it is
that 3 of the 4 terrorists busted in NYC are muslim. Any of you liberals want to tell me what an a$$hole bigot I am for having thought that right from the beginning I "just knew" that all 4 of them were? MY BAD!
  • Joe Biden and snipers
You sure they weren't from a rival? Hillary'd love the job! Hire a food taster, PrezBO!
  • CAFE Standards
So Washington's answer to the problem that American's don't want "beer cans on wheels" for cars unless that cost of gasoline is over $4.00 is to tax gasoline so that it stays above $4!?! So much for a market-driven economy!
  • Credit Card Bill
Is it such a bad thing that credit card companies might start closing down "marginal" accounts? Too many people with too many credit cards is at least part of the problem of this debtor nation we have turned into.
  • Cafe Standards
Betty - You describe what I like to call the "mattress syndrome". Ever hear of those people who die of starvation or exposure and the cops find a million dollars stashed under their beds?
  • immigration law reform
Schumer is blowing smoke in everyone's face, they haven't done a thing to enforce the border security. The Democrats are quite good at this tactic.
  • Mike
My heart bleeds for you, pal. Boo Hoo, the oil companies are raising prices. Wahhhh, call someone who cares. They can do whatever they want, because it's a free market society. Get over yourself, facist.
  • Not That Barney is without sin...
...as we have seen from the 2005 regulation hearings videos on YouTube but he has more than a pointy head.

Where were the Republicans when they had control over both branches of the federal government? If they couldn't reverse the housing mess and stave off funding for Acorn then how are they going to repair the damage done by the Democrats in the next four year? And will they have the will?
  • Franke/Bachman
Those two have an ongoing battle! She got a verbal vote to go ahead with an investigation into ACORN, Barney went behind closed doors and got all the members of the committee to change their vote! He's as crooked as they come.
  • Follow the script Obama
Wesley Mouch... How appropriate. Good call.
  • Bill Maher?
Bill Maher? Oh, there's a good source. How about Bill O'Reilly - he's had enough diatribes on oil company "greed" to fill my tank.
Next up - Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert host the news.
  • Government designed cars
The British car show, Top Gear, had a look at cars built by communist regimes. (You can see parts of the film on their web site. Search "communist" on their site.) These (sometimes) rolling scrap heaps made the Yugo look like a BMW. This is the future of GM & Chrysler. The libs will never allow them to pay off their government debt. The left wants these industries under their socialist thumbs.
Crash testing and air conditioning will have to go by the wayside for cars to get anything like the mileage King Obama has decreed. The quality of the government owned car makers will go in the toilet. Their sales will plummet. Obama & Company will pour even more taxpayer money into these ratholes of their own making to keep them afloat and continue to buy votes from the unions. If Obama doesn't become a one-term wonder, (it's not a given that he will, no matter how badly he torpedoes the economy) then we will be wanting to world to end in 2012.
  • Border
Border crossing are down? How can that possibly be when we're so certain that these people are just crossing the border to get welfare benefits? Illegal immigration couldn't possibly be driven by people looking for work and it's down because work has dried up. No, never. Nothing to see here.
  • Bilderberg Group
this wasn't about the Bilderberg Group. i want you to notice how some people are described as "moonbats". that gets me alarmed. if they go to making up names instead of debating facts, i won't to know why.
  • iran missile test
I have full confidence that Israel will do what needs to be done when the time comes. I have no confidence that this administration will understand or back it.
  • Illegal Border Crossings
I'd posit that the reason border crossings are down is that Mexicans are starting to figure out they may have a better shot at freedom and riches in Mexico.
  • Senators torn?
Even worse is that they forget that they were once supposed to represent the states' interests.
  • Slobbering Barney
What about the poor slob who has to use the microphone after him?

I hope the poor slob cleaning it uses the proper PPE (like latex gloves). No telling what might be there...
  • Credit card bill
Step number two. I'll stop using mine when the rewards go away. Keep one with the lowest annual fee for car rentals and occasional online purchases. Also will have to consider using it on family vacations (does anyone still use travelers checks? - oh yeah, the people who still write checks at the grocery checkout and think Eisenhower is the president - I forgot).
Well, it was a nice ride while it lasted...
  • Law of supply/demand not applicable to oil companies
In case you missed it 11 alive news did a piece about how the price of gas has not been corresponding with the demand or the cost of oil.
Neal , its time for you to stop defending something that you know is not true. The oil companies are just charging what they want and they have been doing it for a long time. it has nothing to do with supply and demand when it comes to them. anyone who can read or watch the news can tell this, yet you keep talking all this crap about supply and demand, when it comes to oil companies it just isn't true.
Maybe you really believe yourself or its just your world view but you need to look at the facts and admit this one.

They bent us over and raped us last summer and made more money than ever. this year they cry "we aren't making any money". wha wha wha!!! They made it last year. Bill Mahr brought up on his show how its not about just making profits its about "growth". The oil companies are making money , they just arent going to make as much as last year and they are pouting about it. Funny how republicans never mention how its the growth and not just profits.
Its not enough to make a profit, if you arent making more than last year, then you really didnt do anything (in bizarro capitalist world). I guess it ties back to the word you dont know the meaning of "GREED".
  • What Barney was slobbering about...
All I kept hearing from Barney Frank was 'it was Bush's fault'. I lost track of how many times. Seriously? That dead horse is starting to smell... a lot. Beating it just stirs up the flies. Please, Barney, do us a favor and bury it, before it makes us all sick.

Oh, and twice he admonished Rep. Bachmann for interrupting him. That's rich, considering he'd done the same to her repeatedly when she was first talking.
  • New emissions standards
The WSJ talks about ways to get the public to buy these cars no one wants to buy. Provide tax subsidies to get people to buy them or raise gas taxes to keep prices above $4/gal.

"the Obama Administration insists it isn't interested in subsidies or taxes"

    So who's buying that?
  • Cafe Standards
Being just a dumb hick I may not understand this. We have loads of oil and natural gas of our own yet we are going down the tubes buying from other countries. So we have to get highter gas mileage and stop using oil. What I want to know is if we intend to stop using oil why are we hoarding our own. Seems we could help the country by using our own energy while we try to invent something that will slow down or stop the need for it instead of going cold turkey. Afraid this is going to cause a massive case of withdrawal symptoms to the detrement of everyone.
  • Press Secretary Robert Gibbs
I wouldn't want his job, and in time he won't want it either.

    And so goes their mantra:

    Obama good, Bush bad!

At least Bush never threatened the American people by even suggesting Guantánamo be closed.
  • Translating Barney Frank
Neal, don't strain your ears to understand what Barney is saying. It's nothing of substance, just the same tired old broken record, "the BUSH administration, the BUSH administration, the BUSH administration..." On and on ad nauseum. Any time he's asked a question about an issue, he reverts to , "Why didn't you ask this during the BUSH administration?"

I hope his incompetence will become as obvious to his constituents as it has been to me for a while now. Bush is out of office. ACORN is still a problem.
  • regulatory czar
Wesley Mouch ... nice Randian reference!
  • Chrysler
Good for Indiana. It's about time someone grew a set to tell the Obama admin they are violating US Code!
  • Barney Frank
Neal, the question is not what is Barney saying, but rather why he sounds like he's passing gas every time he speaks.
