Barack Obama's tax proposals could "kill the spirit of competition" ....... In India. Here too. Democrats don't like competition. Just take a look at our schools.

Take a look at how Obama's tax proposals would affect the Irish economy. Imagine if we had the FairTax and these companies would be encouraged to bring that money and those jobs to America.

Read this from the Wall Street Journal. Obama wants you to buy Democrat cars.

Now we get an extremism dictionary from the Homeland Security Department. These people are really on a roll lately. I don't like confiscatory taxation. That makes me an extremist.

The Obama administration is stepping up pressure on Israel to accept a two-state solution to its conflict with Palestine. Actually, there's more to it than that. Obama wants Israel to accept all Palestinian's who want to live in and do God-Knows-What in Israel. You get the feeling that Obama wants Israel to just go away.

The "cash for clunkers" bill is back on the table .. the government will give vouchers worth up to $4,500 for people to replace their less fuel efficient cars for models with better mileage.

Here's an article from Forbes Magazine explaining that the recession is over.

Gallup polls show that Americans want less government control when it comes to gun ownership.

China is building up its military power and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff believes that this is aimed at the United States. We show weakness, they show strength.

The White House is still on a mission to support corn ethanol which is worse for our environment and costing the taxpayers a lot of money to prop up the industry.

Did you hear an Obama official declare: "At the White House, We Love MSNBC."

How did the Democrats receive Arlen Specter at his first policy lunch? With warm applause. And from this article in Politico it seems that Angry Arlen isn't exactly being welcomed by the Looters with open arms.

Just the latest tirade against Israel from the mad mullah Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

A bill being considered in Connecticut would require all government schools to use environmentally friendly cleaning products.

A mayor in Alabama wants to change the law to require that all business signs in Spanish include English translations.

A man has sued the New Orleans Police Department for $1 in damages over his "right" to wear a skirt.

The University of Wisconsin System wants the state to adopt laws that would allow universities to punish students for actions that take place off campus.

Scientists have unveiled a race car that runs on chocolate.

Red light cameras are considered "effective" if they generate enough revenue for the government.

What others are saying

  • Christian Muslim?
What do you mean by Christian Muslim? And who uses that in their lexicon?
  • Clunkers
My car is a 1990 Sentra and it still averages over 30 mpg, better than a lot of new cars. I bought it used for cash in 1995. I haven't had a car payment since 1988. Explain to me again why I want to trade it in on something less capable that would cost me $400/month?
  • extremist Lexicon
They left one of their definitions that they have been using for Nobama out of their lexicon -Christian muslim- guess they can't define it. Since it doesn't exist!! That's kind of like saying Christian-jew...
  • laughing...
The deal is that the cars turned in get crushed and the title is destroyed. They cannot be returned to service. So if you turn in a classic automobile worth several thousands of dollars because you don't know what its worth, they will destroy it and cannot sell it to a collector to restore. What a stupid program.
  • I once saw a Suburu with a Bush Sticker
I know as improbable as it may seem, since the Suburu brand will implant your favorite Gore, or Big O sticker for free, but I once saw a Suburu with a Bush sticker on it. It was about 90 degrees here that day in the Burque, but I swear I think I saw some snow flakes coming down. It was an incredible site, and sad to say it did not last long. Alas, I think that species has been vanquished. Long live the "Bushuru."
  • Laughing
Look up their definition of "clunkers" My cars aren't even new enough to qualify. The program is econmically and ecologically absurd.
  • Formula 3 plant car
Interesting idea although I'd really like to see a chassis put through the FIA battery of crash tests before a driver takes it upto speed. I also wonder how durable and fire resistant the drivers seat is, wonder if any of the car has faced FIA testing.
  • Laughing
I wish it were that easy but you get a voucher not a check. They know how we are!!!!
  • CHINA
China's massive military (particularly naval) expansion program has been going on since the early Bush administration. You only seem to take notice of foreign policy problems once Obama took office. I think their build up has more to do with a perceived weakness with Russia instead of the US. There's a little bit of a running feud there, and China may be in a position to take advantage of that soon. I seem to remember you also reporting on Russia's armament program and attributing that to Obama's supposed weakness. Try putting two and two together, and bring in some historical context, and you might come to a more sensible conclusion that your usual "Democrats are weak on security" rhetoric.

As for Israel, you seem to overvalue their actual importance to the US. If Palestinian terrorists are such a problem for Israeli occupiers, then wouldn't Israel benefit from giving them their own state, and letting all the terrorists congregate in Palestine, and get out of Israel? Besides, if this new state of Palestine causes any more problems, they will all be conveniently placed together for easy Israeli retaliation.
  • The "cash for clunkers" bill is back on the table
This is so easy. The junk yards will be selling junkers for $100-$300.
Drive them to the pay site. Then the dumb government pays $2000-$4500 for the "clunkers" and returns them to the junk yards free of charge (recycling to the ultimate?).
Then get back in your gas hog and go to the bank.
  • China
My opinion is that China's build-up may be designed around a conflict with the U.S. but Taiwan is the real goal. I think they'll invade Taiwan sometime in the next 10 years.
  • Missing Girl in SC
I'm so glad you didn't include that nonsense on the news but I gotta say one thing to these idiot parents out there:

When you allow your child (or look the other way) to travel alone at 17 to hang out with other kids and get drunk, don't be shocked when she turns up missing or dead.

Same goes for that girl in Aruba. You do know they went to Aruba because the drinking age is lower, right?

Every spring break, I took my kids on a family trip. Sure, when they were teens they whined about not being allowed to go get wasted with friends at the beach but my two kids are alive and well.

PAY ATTENTION PARENTS. Don't be their friend until they are out of college!
  • Re: The extremist dictionary from the Homeland Security Department
Hey, at least they got a couple things correct:

    From the Lexicon:

Leftwing extremism: A movement of groups or individuals that embraces anticapitalist, Communist, or Socialist doctrines and seeks to bring about change through violent revolution
rather than through established political processes. The term also refers to leftwing, single-issue extremist movements that are dedicated to causes such as environmentalism, opposition to war, and the rights of animals. (also: far left, extreme left)

Note that they correctly identified the Leftist's Statist principles.

The rightwing extremism definition DOES NOT identify the right as being FASCIST.

We all know that this is just another version of STATISM, the underlying political philosophy of the Left.
  • china
we wouldn't have fought china over taiwan for the past 8-12 years. all china has too do is "we want our money now" and put us in a financial tail spin. they've threatened it before, so don't think georgie with his dual wars going on, would come to the aid of taiwan.
  • Why does Obama not care if he runs companies out of the USA?
Neal was just discussing this on air and it occurs to me that Obama wants to spread the wealth not only among "the poor" of this country but around the world. He is willing to sacrifice the "rich Americans" to make himself a global leader.
  • Extremist Lexicon
Has Joseph McCarthy been reincarnated as Janet Napolitano - albeit with a differing ideology to be sure. This is very remindful of the actions the government was taking back in the 1950's. Are we going to have another House Un-American Activities Committee or is DHS just going to bear the 'burden' this time?
  • White House and moonshine (corn) fuel
It was tried in the 70's and after it destroyed fuel systems in our cars it was scrapped.
  • $34Billion more for banks
Yeah it's not listed in the Reading below but should be. Stress tests are going to be extremely stressing.

  • Americans want less government control when it comes to gun ownership.
A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed.

Why it's so difficult for the Demon-Statists to understand this simple concept?

I don't give a Rat's A$$ whether Fauxbamo and the rest of the Fascist/Statist/Socialist/Communist/Marxist demonic-craps were Lying through their teeth about supporting the 2A in order to get elected

Or if they suddenly don't “Feel Comfortable”AGREE”with people owning guns

That's what they agreed to in order to attain high office, and WE THE PEOPLE expect them to live with the bargain

And I don't care if they want to be like Darth Vader, as in:”I am altering the Deal, pray I don't alter it any further”

Bottom line – Obama lama ding dong and the rest of the Demon-fascists wouldn't have been elected if they had told people the truth, just like the rest of their Statist agenda.
  • The Legislature of the State of Connecticut
is going to dictate to 160-odd municipalities which cleaning products they can use in their schools - but can't figure out how to balance the state budget?
  • Recession over
Thank you for the link to the Forbes column. That was great news that the recession is technically over. I'm so sick of CNN and other news networks broadcasting gloom and doom all the time. It only makes matters worse.
  • Extremist Lexicon
The preface clearly indicates that this lexicon pertains to "the threat that domestic, non-Islamic extremism poses to the United States".

So... Islamic extremism just falls by the wayside?
  • Democratic Cars
I just can't wait to see the next 10,000 kilowatt Corvette! Zero to 100 in less than an hour! Price? Four years community service or free if you feel you are entitled to one anyway.
  • Irony
Does anyone else see the irony that many liberals voters opposed to corporate welfare voted for Pelosi, Reid, and Obama? These three haven't seen a corporate welfare program that they didn't like!
  • China
If China has ever really been serious about taking back Taiwan, it's going to happen in the next four years. They'll never have a better opportunity because Barack won't fight back. He'll make a useless gesture of protest at the UN, but he won't help them.
