My thanks to the folks at WGUF-FM, my Naples, Florida affiliate for once again making it so easy for me to come down here to (a) paradise (b) NIMBYland and broadcast in the Florida sun. Tonight we'll have a little gathering of 98.9 FM listeners at the Naples Bath and Tennis Club where they will be held against their will while I rant and rave for who-knows-how long. Then .. now get this .. tomorrow morning I'm playing golf with the guy who is now married to the infamous Emily Eggert ... the high school hardbody who ran off to a party with another group of boys on our first and last date at Pensacola High School oh so many years ago.   • The Escaped Chimpanzee Story From Yesterday's Show
    I noticed there was no follow up on the incident yesterday regarding an escaped chimp which interfered with the transmission of Boortz's show on WSB AM between 10 & 11AM by climbing up the radio tower. I think the story was a bunch of baloney and Boortz and his staff played the Atlanta listeners for fools. Damn that ticks me off! If the story was true it wasn't anywhere to be found on google, or the websites of Atlanta's local paper(the ajc), wsb am, wsb t.v., or CBS 46(the t.v. station which supposedly covered the incident). Plain and simple....Boortz & staff played Atlanta listeners for fools folks.It wasn't even April Fools.

    Hey Step cousin:
    You too could move to Florida if you wanted too. All you need to do is find a job, or move your business, and get a home in Florida. I am not one for Naples, FL but there are plenty of other places here for you. (I left Georgia five years ago and I never looked back.)
