I missed it...
Did he talk about the fact that U.S troop presence in the middle east encourages terrorist recruitment? Did he mention the idea that if the Saudis or Iranians were in Amereica building permanent military bases and telling Americans how to live that its possible that would provoke Americans to violence? Did he talk about 9/11 being a reaction to failed leftist/paternalist American foreign policy or the fact that America is going broke in the fashion of Rome to keep up with it empire and military adventurism? Did he advocate actually trying out a traditional conservative Republican foreign policy of non-intervention?
Traitor
Oliver North was a traitor who extensively aided terrorists. He sold weapons illegally to the Iranians in what was the worst possible way of appeasing Hezbollah hostage takers. Then, he used the proceeds to fund the Contra terrorists, who were brutal murderers and drug dealers.
Then, he illegally destroyed evidence to cover up his crimes.
All of this directly against Congress, and his oath.
Oliver North should have faced the full penalty of treason. Luckily, inept prosecutors and the help he got from the ACLU mean he's now a Fox News hero.
That such a terrorist traitor (as well as all his accomplices) got off scot free is a shame to our justice system, and sets an example for unlimited executive power. That people worship, or even lend him the tiniest bit of respect, is their own shame.
Boortz might as well be having Osama bin Laden on his show.
Going Against our Government
Sometimes the parts of the government is wrong. When the Congress decided to criminalize activities of the executive branch because they didn't like the politics of Ronald Reagan, I don't really consider their actions legitimate. I go against our government all the time nowadays...I don't believe they are acting in the best interest of the country....the government isn't the country...they come in a distant 10th on my list of loyalities.
The government is has turned into a giant sucking wealth vacume and should be opposed with greater regularity by those who see them voting themselves and their tin cup constituencies other people's money in return for power. Screw the government.
Ollie went against the commies and islamic terrorists.
It's not Col. North's fault the dp was on the wrong side of the Cold War. Dp politicians failed to uphold their oath, not him. He regarded his oath above their laws, and he paid for it. By all means, lets remind the country how murderously wrong the dp was and is about communism, the Cold War, and islamic terrorism.
We can thank President G. W. Bush that two of the bloodiest American killing islamic terrorists in Col. North's time (the '80's), Abu Abbas and Abu Nidal, both trained by the warsaw pact, are dead today. Both were living comfortably in Baghdad until President Bush enforced the GWCFA.
Fawn Hall's congressional testimony was the best thing I've ever seen on c-span, she made the dp committee members look like the slimy anti-American fools they were and still are.
James
thank for being kind to me. not many people will be so kind, if they disagree with me. check back later and see me on the defensive.
i don't dislike ON. he might be f'ing cool. i might drink a beer with him. i just can't forgot the arms trading. it was a wake up call for me.
Jet Ski with Ollie!
No joke: My wife and I honeymooned on a cruise in 1996. Olliver North was on the same ship. We stopped at an island where the rasta men rent jet skis. Ollie was giving out rides. I have a photo of my hot bride in a bikini hugging Ollie's back, riding his jet ski.
F'ing cool, if you ask me.
Of course, I'm one of those people who disagree with T-Shirt Doc below.
I respect Oliver North, but...
I still want him answer questions about Rex 84 and its connection to facilities being setup all over the country by FEMA as well as the 500,000 or so coffins that are sitting in Georgia right now. It is not crazy to ask about what the purpose is for these facilities and strange containers.
oliver
its amazing how ON is treated with respect. he went against our government. let me say that again he went against our government
as an american, i find that unforgivable. especially since he took on oath.
you know what the people who worship oliver north remind me of? the obama-noids who worship at the feet of William Ayers.
