Before we continue, did you know that the United States is running up a debt that is so high as a percentage of our GDP that we wouldn't even be eligible to join the European Union? ------ Not that we want to join the European Union or anything.

What others are saying

  • To S.F
You're right. I think they are waiting for the collapse of our economy. They will offer up an alternative. It will involve a centralized one world government and monetary system. The very thing the kooky conspiracy guys always talked about. Whether or not they were on to something is besides the point cause that very scenario is knocking at our door. If someone else has a better explaination for what is going on I'd love to hear it. Hell you might make sense of all this to Nealz Nuze goers.

If the decisions are made in advance by this group and tells congress how to vote why would they then tell the president to sign or not to sign? Just a question.
If this is true it sounds to me that there is a NWO allready. They are just waiting for the right time to make it public.
  • To DaleC
That is how arrogant they are. The Bilderberg group is made up of the most powerful people on the planet. Those people meet in secret to plan world policy. Get with the times. If you think that all the decisions are made by Congress and the President the way they tell you it is supposed to be done you are dead wrong. The decisions are made in advance and then Congress finds out how they are to vote. The President then signs or doesn't sign based on what the Bilderberg group decides in these meetings.
  • Re: Blue-eyed Devil
    It was not a compliment,
Stan keeps rambling about all of his degrees....He probably got them out of a gumball machine somewhere...besides, how could he be intelligent...he shows up here almost everyday and still gets the crap slapped out of him.
  • Secret meeting
If the Bilderburg meeting is secret and they are so powerful, why is there a website?

For all their power and brilliance, they can't keep a secret worth a damn. :-)
  • Greece
Oh how I wish I could be there!!! I'd work in the serving line with a recording device....
  • RE: S. F.
Good point about Stan. One question though. What made you think that Stan was highly educated? I always thought he was a Moron! And him having grand-children. I think not.

  • Buy Gold Now
Because the coming inflation sh#tstorm is going to exterminate the middle classes--exactly what the dear leader wants. It won't be long before PrezBO "decrees" that buying gold is "unpatriotic" and makes it a "crime".
  • LiberalHater
I know that there is a meeting that is supposed to be in Greece starting May 14th. Obama will be in attendance. This will be a crucial meeting. They will decide how to play out this global depression. They will decide whether or not to strike quickly with a harsh quick collapse and make the global policy changes quickly while everyone is still dazed from it all or to prolong it and gradually bankrupt us. I understand that their decision is a tough one. I honestly hope they choose the path that leads to the least bloodshed.
  • LiberalHater
    web sites please
  • Speaking of NWO
Did you know that the recent meeting of The Bilderburg Group had Obama in attendance??????
  • Joining the EU
Proof that there is a silver lining to every dark cloud.
  • EU membership
I don't see any benefit to joining the EU, not to mention the possible difficulty in getting 50 separate States to agree to join a newer, less united federation of states. The EU reminds me of the United States of America under the Articles of Confederation, so if they ever want some kind of 'national union' then they have a long ways to go and a lot of individual national soveriegnty to concede.
  • Budget surplus vs. National Debt
    Stan,

When Bush came into office there was a Budget surplus that could have been used to make early payments on the national debt. Sort of like taking your extra income and making extra payments on your car loan. You still owe on the loan, but you owe less principle and will end up paying less interest.

Yearly budget deficits and surpluses are not what would keep us out of the EU. It is the ratio of our national debt to GDP that is the measuring stick. We have something like $15 trillion in GDP and will have something like $10 trillion in national debt in 10 years, if you believe the long term CBO forecasts. I happen to think they are low-balling it. This means our Debt to GDP ratio is 2/3 or 66%. I believe the EU caps this ratio at 60% for new entrants.

Most smart people understand that Bush spent way to much money. I believe it is the main reason the GOP got creamed in the moderate voters column on election night for the past 2 cycles. But please understand the difference in budget surplus and national debt. Our country will be better off when people are educated about basic economic theory and practice.
  • More from Stan Ga-bull
Halliburton did well, as did pretty much everyone else, until mid-year 2009 and is now trading at about $ 20. That was the pps of the late 90's. It has only doubled since 1981, a horrible investment.

Nice execution of a talking point, so kudos to you.
  • GDP
military debt compared to GDP is why america will fall.
  • Get real
..Stan, You keep bringing up President George W. Bush as the fall guy for all our problems. While he made a few mistakes he doesnt even hold a candle to Obamalongadingdongs complete distruction of capatalism. Not to mention the debt that our grandchildren will still be paying on! Your arguments are old and stale. Try opening your eyes. I thought you were highly educated???
  • Clinton Surplus Myth
Stan - there was no Clinton Surplus, unless you exclude the debt of intra-governmental holdings, which you can't if you are honest or accurate.

Google "Clinton Surplus Myth" and check out Craig Steiner for details.
  • Stan Gable
When you get to the point where you compare your big loser's stupid policy to that of a lesser loser, then you need to just give it a rest. You're basically admitting you agree that Obama is a moron.
  • NWO
... and Abdullah will come riding in to save us!

    I'm getting it!
  • Yep
The NWO is sounding better by the day isn't it? Once we are broken by our government we will beg for the NWO.
  • Payments on the National Debt
Already, today, the interest payments alone (not counting paying back the principal) on the existing national debt is more than all the revenue brought in through personal income taxes. I don't have a source or a link on that, I believe it to be common knowledge. With the continuing huge deficits only adding to the mountain of national debt, we will soon reach the point where all federal revenue will be inadequate to make even the interest payments on the debt. We will never pay back the principal on the bonds. There is no money for the future generations of social security and medicare beneficiaries. There is only one word for this situation. Bankrupt. The national is already thoroughly bankrupt and you can thank every Congress for past 40 years for this. Hey, a few of them are still up there. Kennedy and Byrd, Dingell and Conyers, and plenty of others. Happy Friday.
  • I thought...
Didnt we have a surplus in the government before Bush became President?

At least Halliburton stock did well
