Trying to figure out some unique ways to use my Twitter account. With 2000 followers now, I want to make it worth your while. So ... if you're listening to the show and I come up with an interesting story, picture .. whatever .. I'll post a tweet with the URL for that story so you can follow up on your own. Sound like a plan? Look for "Talkmaster." And guess what? Jamie Dupree is joining in on the Twitter fun. To get his tweets from Washington D.C., follow him here.

  • tax 101
Thank you for tax 101 it is very good.
The truth is, it will never happen in our lifetime. Why don't you give finance 101. Talk about how, The fellow that is running citicorp, is the same guy that allow the banks and investment firms to merge under the Clintons/Newton. Under Clinton he ran the treasury, and allowed the bank structure to change, with Newts blessing. Tell how his vp Guitner is now the head of treasury and has allowed bank and investment co. merger i.e. Sax/gold and borrow tax payer money to invest in a car company in China.
Explain how, all of the Sen/House are taking money from the Insurance Industry for Health care reform, Including Saxby C and Johnny I.
How TARP money has yet to be spent on more than a had full of Toxic Assets.
I have to wonder, If all of the Soldiers/Sailors/Airmen really know what they a fighting for.

I they knew, That Baccus's "the health care guy" was receiving money from "Wellpoint" and his assistant worked for them, and is now helping write the future of thier kids, what would they think?

  • Leave Oudin divorce out of news
Do not perpetuate the ugly irrelevant story about Melanie Oudin's parents.
  • Forget Twitter
    Podcast the show!
  • Twittering
It is pretty stupid and childish. I just signed up but I don't think I am keeping it.
  • My life will be complete...
    without the usage of Twitter.
  • Twit
Where did the names TWITTER and TWEET come from? My guess is somewhere in San Francisco
  • Twit
The same men that watch "FRIENDS" and "DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES" are the only ones using Twitter.

Men that watch "24" would never use Twitter !

    Get over it.
  • Neal
I only see the use of Twitter in your case best used when you are NOT on air. I see it as a way for you to communicate when you are on vacation, weekends, or after hours. Mayube moments before a TV interview or something.

You just can't use twitter side-by-side of your radio broadcast. It is redundant. You need to use it when you aren't broadcasting.

The nightly Neal Nuze. Tweet while doing show prep. Use it to give us a preview or recap.

That is my advice - later
  • Twitter
Don't let it escape you that the first part of Twitter is TWIT! Only a twit would think that we care about their 24/7 ongoing activities.
  • Talkmaster Twitter
Okay - so you have 2000 followers and you can tweet, and you like the world clock page and those fiddle playing females.

    We got it.

You can end the play by play anytime...
  • Too Funny
for all those who are complaining about having this blocked, go do some work and remember us who lost their jobs and want yours - we wont twitter our time away....
  • The truth
    Real men don't Twitter
  • Good suggestions guys...
but they won't work for my particular office. Proxy sites and the twitter igoogle client are blocked. Any other ideas?
  • Dont waste your time with...
these online community things. Its just a great big CB radio full of people who you really dont care to talk to.
  • Get around the Twitter Block?
Hey Andrew. Have you tried another Twitter client? I use iGoogle and have a Twitter widget called TwitterGadget that I added. It works well. Maybe that will get around it?

Stupid workplaces. They blocked streaming audio now so I cannot listen to Boortz except on my phone - and that eats my batteries.
  • Live Tweet of Tax events!
I'm still looking forward to getting Neal to tweet live during a political event or tax rally. That would be a nice use of twitter.
  • Great Job!
its cool that you are twittering now, and now i can keep up with you better than before!
  • Twitter on your smartphone
If your cell phone can get the web, chances are there's a twitter client for it. I know there are many for the iphone and other smartphones. Keep up with Neal's tweets from your phone and don't worry about your work internet.
  • Twitter
Another technology in search of a problem to solve.
  • KISS
How about keeping it simple? Forget Twitter. It's just another damned thing to join that opens you up for more canned spam. I'd prefer to go to the Nuze to find stuff.
  • TWITTER
    .....starts with TWIT.
  • it is twitter or tweet
    not tweeter

    ok, Nill?
  • Office blocks twitter? Here's your solution
Ever heard of a proxy? It's an awesome way to get around stupid internet blocks. Now, it will screw up your corporate intranet connections while you use it, but heck, if it weren't for employees screwing up settings, the IT department would be playing World of Warcraft all day.

You can set Firefox to use an HTTP proxy (most authentic method, but screws with Intranet settings) or you can use http://www.virtual-browser.com/ (easiest method, no settings changes). Give it a try and let me know if it works. My old job used Websense to block sites and AIM. We used proxies and SSH tunnels to get around all that stuff. How a software company could spend money to block programmers from anything is beyond me. They would come up with blocks and we'd come up with hacks in a matter of minutes.
  • Help me keep productivity low!
Boortz, this is killing me. The nuze is a great way for me to kill 30 minutes of work time every day but now that you've started twittering, that opens up the possibility for so much more! The thing is, my office blocks twitter. Is there a way you can put a twitter feed on the Nuze site?
