More Islamic goons have seized boats off the coast of Africa. Guess they didn't learn their lesson the first time. We need some more dead pirates.

An ACORN spokesperson described the tea parties occurring today as "a bunch of small get-togethers by fringe conservative activists dedicated to simply saying 'no'."

GM is going to produce this electric Chevy Volt .. even though the company acknowledges that it isn't going to "pay the rent." In fact, it will be a long-term money loser. This is the new capitalism.

Meanwhile, GM has prepared a "surgical" bankruptcy. How many millions of dollars is this going to cost the taxpayers?

Goldman Sachs plans to raise $5 billion to repay federal rescue funds and shed government limits on executive pay.

Life insurance companies are about to be TARPed. Yes, it has become a verb.

The always reliable Citizens Against Government Waste has come up with a list of top government porkers per capita.

Is Obama going to bend to Mexico and call for a ban on assault weapons? One thing for sure .. .he won't let the Constitution get in the way of his decision.

Here are some amazing statistics on illegal immigrants in this country. Did you know that children of illegal immigrants are twice as likely to live in poverty?

What does the UN do with the billions of dollars we give to it every year? They use it to fund shoddy projects around the world.

An oil chief has warned that US green policies are likely to turn American into "the world's cleanest third world country."

Who knows if you can believe anything reported from China .. but this story says that thousands of dolphins blocked Somali pirate ships from attacking Chinese merchant ships passing the Gulf of Aden.

Have you weighed in on this Mexican Burger King Whopper commercial? Apparently a lot of people have their frijoles in a bunch over this.

And now for a list of the 10 technologies that are about to go extinct.

What others are saying

  • Assault Weapons Ban
First of all, Laughing, they are trying to prevent weapons going from the U.S. to Mexico, not the other way around.

There's no good reason for anyone to have an assault weapon. If we can help prevent a civil war in our southern neighbor, it's obviously a good idea.
  • ACORN? I think it is ANUTS
ACORN: How appropriate! They "sound" like they are really "NUTS," so let's call them ANUTS instead.
  • Dolphins defending Chinese ships
This is reminiscent of a report years ago from Mao's China regarding a typhoon (Pacific Hurricane) coming ashore. Seems the government had hundredes of thousands of brave Chinese patriots amass along the coast and wave their Little Red Books at the storm while chanting some of Mao's pearls of wisdom from that book. Of course, the typhoon turned back against such a show of loyalty and love for the Chairman. Right. Hope not too many of them drowned in reality.

BTW - when is Obozo releasing his own Little Red Book? When are the giant portraits of him going to be hung over every major building in DC? Where are th statues of him heroically crushing those counter-revolutionary bankers under his mighty heel? The operas about the brave ACORN workers preventing counter-revolutionary cadres from stuffing the ballot boxes with votes for McCain (like "The Red Brigade of Women?")

Coming soon to a country near you!
  • Texican Whopper
I'm a little spicy Mexican and I thought it was funny!
  • ACORN thugs
ACORN is a group of leftist thugs engaged in registering fraudulent democrat voters, extortion of taxpayers funds and intimidation tactics against weak cowardly democrat politicians like Barney Frank and Dick Durbin.
  • What is a Surgical Bankruptcy?
Would a surgical bankruptcy also leave the "good" GM with the same union contracts so the taxpayer will end up saving good GM in the future?
  • HA!
Mexican Whopper, sorry but as a certain comedian says with an accent "that was funny, no?"

Oh Longbow, right you are about CL. Infact I asked him a question yesterday that never got posted.

Ben Dover, maybe we can get Ron Paul to use those letters of Marquee to get our border closed! Oh but wouldn't they then be considered militias? And land on the Homeland Security list??? Oh well. Go Paul!
  • Heads up
Hey this is a note to whomever is in charge of links, the website about the dolphins protecting the Chinese ships is reported as an ad ware site by McAfree.
  • Failed assault weapon ban #2
Since Mexico just can't seem to smuggle illegal drugs and immigrants across our borders, there is no way they will be able to smuggle "Assault Weapons" to their US cronies.
Brilliance of WJC and now BO!
Same as their illegal drugs, the price will increase greatly.
Yeah, BO put more money in the criminals' pockets!
Stimulus? ... Yeah, that's stimulus for the criminals in business here in the US.
  • Good one!
Larry, I forgot about the Frito Bandito.

I loved little chico chihuahua..."Yo qiero Taco Bell"
  • Pirates
Pirates are the reason that hollow point ammunition was invented. About time that we started using it.
  • illegals living in poverty
i'm sure it does't look that bad, considering were they came from
  • ACORN: yet another type of nut.
    From Brian Kettenring of ACORN...
"At this point, it would not surprise us to wake up tomorrow and see conservative media fingering ACORN's 500,000 member families as the principle cause of global climate change," he said in a written statement.

Sure Kettenring, just like Buddha accusing someone of heresy against the Catholic church. Nice deflection.
  • Texican Whopper
All I can think about, when I hear reports of the protests this has caused, is --- Aye, Yi, Yi, Yiii, I am dee Frito Bandito....
  • Assault Weapons Ban
Mexico should patrol its own borders to prevent the illegal immigration of assualt weapons. Any help the USA gives on this issue should be tied to them keeping their citizens in Mexico.
  • Goldman Sachs
i read the news article on Goldman Sachs. and i didn't see any losses. oh, that's right. i'm not a banker. there are ways you can hide their losses, it's "orphaned months".

do i understand it? hell no. but it gets me worried. and these "bankers" are known to be liars.

    http://norris.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/04/14/the-case-of-the-missing-month/
  • Assault weapons ban II
Wait a minute, didn't Obozo assure us that we could 'keep our guns' – guess that was ANOTHER Lie by Mr. Teleprompter.

It's also a Lie that these weapons are coming from Civilian sources – These are highly regulated items – If they could be TRACED back to a Civilian source – as claimed – then Why aren't these sources being prosecuted?
  • Interesting
Isn't it curious how Copyleft and some of the other 'Trolls' have a privileged status around here.

He/She or it seems to KNOW exactly when to post comments to be first in line,

And when to post comments in the afternoon so that there won't seem to be any response because new posts won't be added?
  • Pirates in the Indian ocean
are the least of our concerns today. We should be worried about the pirates in Washington DC!
