No, Neal did not get suspended today. He was pulling your leg. You have no idea how often he does that to you. What he is doing is playing a charity golf tournament with Royal. Don't worry, we've got Herman Cain filling in 8:30-11am ET to keep you up to date on everything. 11-noon ET is Best of Boortz.

What others are saying

  • Good
Wonderful charity event. Its still great to live in a country where playing golf on a beautiful monday morning can be considered work and charity at the same time.

Take the politics out of it for a moment and its great that Royal and Neal help this and many more foundations that strive to do so much good for people.

    Thank you Neal and Royal.

  • Missing the Point
I was wondering if anyone would get on their soapbox and state "He's doing it for a good cause, you jerk."

You are missing the point. Yes, it's a good cause. No one is denying it. The point is he is missing "his work" to play golf for a good cause. Could you take a day off today to go golf for charity? I'd love to. There are a whole host of charity golf tourneys I'd love to play in.

The point I was making is twofold :(1) his job is to be on the air from 8:30 - 1:00, not to play golf for charities; (2) today it is charity golf, the other week it was something else, the week before that it was some other event. Hannity rarely misses a day and he has a TV show! Levin is rarely off either. All I'm saying is that compared with other hosts, Neal seems to take a LOT of days off from his main duties.
  • day off
Thanks pants loads for making us worry about figuring out how to get on twitter and figuring out what happened. Thank God I didn't have time for that..good one Neal.Love Herman.Missed y'all.good show w/ charity.lol
  • Not golfing...
I don't buy the playing golf bit. He is attending a workplace sensitivity seminar, in place of him getting suspended.
  • Golf Art
Missed ya Neil!! If you need some great art for the cause visit: http://www.mctierart.com/golf_art.html
  • I fell for it
Nice one Neal...I thought you were suspended. You got me!
  • Club-a-liberal, you should take some time and read about Neal's work history before you criticize him for taking a day off for a good cause. The guy worked at least two jobs for the better part of his life! Cut him a bit of slack!
  • Paid days off for a good cause
I wish my company would give me so many paid days off to have fun helping out a charity? If only I could be as fortunate. The one time I did get a day off I actually had to "sling a hammer" and do real work, for a good cause.
  • Happy Golfing!
Enjoy your day of golf. Enjoy being able to take time off for a good cause and volunteering and being charitable. Maybe one day you will be forced to *volunteer* to a less fortunate charity, that isn't able to get it's fair share of support.
  • Hey Club-a-liberal - Did you miss that he is playing golf for a charity? The charity happens to be the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America. I am appreciative that Neal & Royal are "taking the day off" to help the CCFA My 15 year old has had ulcerative colitis for 4 years and takes 2 big pills 3 times a day. With the money raised at this golf tournament, maybe new medicines and treatments will be found.
  • Golf
I know it's trivial, but I can't help but notice Neal always make fun of people who work 40 hour weeks, yet I don't think the man has worked three weeks in a row without taking some day off in the last 5 years!
  • Herman Cain?
I'm listening right now and I swear Herman Cain sounds JUST LIKE Neal!
  • Good for Neal!
Taking a walk through the park with an extra purpose. Way to go Neal :)
