OBAMA ADDRESSES ALL YOU 'ANTI-TAX' PEOPLE

Barack Obama decided to celebrate his 100th day in office by hosting town hall meetings. At one of the meetings in St. Louis, Obama decided that he was going to address all you evil right-wingers who got out there to protest of tax day. When asked a question about fiscal discipline (something Obama knows nothing about) and entitlement reform, here is what he had to say:

"Those of you who are watching certain news channels on which I'm not very popular, and you see folks waving tea bags around ... let me just remind them that I am happy to have a serious conversation about how we are going to cut our health care costs down over the long term, how we are going to stabilize Social Security. But ... let's not play games and pretend that the reason [for the deficit] is because of the Recovery Act."

So there you have it. If you watch FoxNews or attended a tea party .. Obama would like to have a "serious" conversation with you.

OK ... I'll contact the White House and ask for a "serious" conversation with President Obama about the FairTax. Now ... on a scale of 1 to 10 ... with 10 being "no way in hell, Jose" ... what do you think my chances are?

What others are saying

  • Tea Party
We really mean anti spend. Our arrogant out of touch employees in Washington try to condescendingly say it is about taxes(implying current taxes) Many of us may think that we pay too much when figuring in all taxes, not just Federal. But the movement is about out of control spending, which has to lead to higher taxes, along with inflation. We are the ones looking ahead 2,3 ,5 10 years. The only reason 75% of the country is not also outraged, is because for some reason they aren't payin attention. That is because the actual effects have not hit yet. We who protest now are being proactive. We have legitimate concern.
  • Health costs
Here is a serious way to control health costs: Get rid of group rates, have everyone pay their own insurance, and let insurance companies charge rates based on the health of the individual. maybe then people would make the choice to eat and live healthy. Sorry smokers, drug addicts and alcoholics; I'm tired of paying for your unhealthy lifestyles.
  • No Answers from Obama
I have e-mailed the President twice regarding his opinion of the Fair Tax and have never received a response (not that I expected one). So, why does he say that he wants to have a "serious" conversation with us when he dodges questions continually and can't speak off script?!
  • 49
  • Your chances
Your chances are almost as high up there as the President Obama's first 100 day spending spree.

    I know that hurts.
  • lets talk taxes..!
Yeah right ill leave my name and number even where ill be during the day and @ what time of day i plan on going to the bathroom and when i eat.Im not holding my breath..bring it rockey..ever take a good look at this jabronie and notice a similarity to himself and former wwe champ the rock?..hmm mabe just a similar haircut..? Know youre roll FAIRTAX NOW..
  • Arrogance Personified!
    B. Hussein Obama is an arrogant bastard. All he knows how to do is read a teleprompter and spend my kids and grandkids money. The average tea bag holding, anti-tax conservative would eat him up and spit him out in a fiscal debate.
  • Obama and Tea Parties - Clueless!
The President is as clueless as they come when it comes to acknowledging the tea parties. He used the same tone he did with Joe (the Plumber). As the saying goes, actions speak louder than words - and Obama is damn near screaming at us who cling to guns and religion!
  • Rob
Rob, Copyleft, etc... my proof is the Banks' Stress Test. I have high end knowledge of what these entail. You will find your ignorance then. Although these stress tests were suppose to be revealed next week. Our government is heavily appealing the results they have(they are terrified). If you are as smart as you say you are.. then you have already pulled your saving money from your bank accounts and placed it in a safe. Hmmm maybe. Government backed 'FDIC' will keep you feeling so confident in your words for so long(but you might have to wait 99 years to get your money back). Good luck, only the government can keep this fake front up for so much longer. Research the following Recession of the 20s before the depression... the government is doing the same thing.
  • May want to ask the Republicans first...
Neal, since the Fair Tax reflects Republican principles of less government and economic freedom that the Republicans CLAIM they're all about, you might want to ask them why they haven't made it their top issue/promise for their party comeback.

The Democratic Party's philosophy doesn't favor the Fair Tax the way they understand it. Besides wealth envious Democrats think the rich should pay a higher percentage of any tax.

I just don't understand why we keep harping on Obama without hearing what the Republicans have to offer that is better. AND PLEASE...don't say Bush tax cuts because that does not help the blue collar middle-class worker or small business owner one bit. No one is salivating to be trickled on.
  • I'm rubber, you're glue....
"Awww, now you're confusing yourself with ME!"

I feel like I'm watching a four year old sometimes.
  • Arrogant Obama
Figures Obama would give the typical arrogant response to critics of his tax and spend America into oblivion policy. He just does not get it does he? You cannot spend what the government doesn’t have and improve or make the “change he believes in” come true. The universal health care he wants is not affordable or sustainable for any period of time. There is no substitute for free market principles in any arena of our economy including health care. Government is far less efficient and effective and will destroy the quality and availability of critical health care resources in this country when and if he gets his way. You cannot tax people to pay for all this unnecessary spending that has already been put into motion and expect the economy to recover. The good thing about him addressing the tea parties and tax policy critics is we know the voices have been loud enough for him and his advisors to pay attention. Now let’s keep up the message and the fight into 2010 election and let’s make a difference and put some balance back into our government! We cannot afford a complete democrat majority in all branches of government for any sustainable period of time or they will harm this country beyond repair!
  • Hussein demeans the office he holds.
No class, as Cosby would say.

"I won," is the closest he's come to a serious discussion on anything yet.

Watch what happens to tax revenue this year and next. Economics is neither static nor zero-sum, The deficit will much larger than they expect.

They will try to cut health care costs 'stabilize' social security (it's a ponzi scheme moron, you can't stabilize it) by withholding or delaying drugs and treatment of the elderly to kill them off before they can cost the system too much.
  • I would
I would love to meet PrezBo and talk taxes- but who will I be talking to: Him or the Teleprompter?
  • Ford Vehicles
With Obama's and UAW takeover of GM and Chrysler looks like it will be just Fords in my future. I won't support socialism, marxism, facism, or communism if at tall possible.
  • The next step
Given that protests can be ignored, the next step will have to be a way of legally interrupting the Statists revenue stream.

Ayn Rand had it correct, the only way the Statists can survive is if they can buy the votes of the Dumb Masses.

As long as zero and the rest of the Statists can pretend to be Santa Claus with money forcibly seized from the producers and achievers, they can remain popular enough to hold onto their power.

The achievers and producers will eventually wind down their efforts as they are punished for the very act of supporting the economy.

But a gradual decline will let the Statists hold onto their power – at least until in all falls apart or WW III starts – whichever comes first.

My only point is that there HAS to be a way of stopping this goes too far.
  • Tea Party
Brandon wrote, "Who went to a Tea Party because of Health Care costs or the instability of Social Security?"

Not I, and I'm on Social Security and pay my own health insurance! I went because I'm afraid there won't be a country left for my Grandkids! And BTW, this was the first meeting of this type that I'd ever been to in my 63 years on this earth, and, I plan to go to others whenever they are held in my area!! NO MORE PORK BARREL SPENDING FROM BOTH THE REPUBLICRATS AND DEMONACRATS! DAYUM-IT! JUST SAY NO!!!!
  • @Joyce and others...
I hear you guys. I'm just advocating a different approach for trolls. Remember what I hope your parents taught you? If you don't have anything nice to say... just ignore them. Insulting them does nothing for your cause. I advocate ignoring them. Just advice, I don't assume in the least anyone will listen. By insulting them you're giving them legitimacy. I guess you also forgot about the other lesson those of us who have kids have learned: negative attention is better than no attention at all. So the best solution for the people you think are way off base is to ignore them, not insult them.

@Burleydad: You say that our two party system has been socialist for decades. I refer you to the infalible source:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Socialism

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fascism

Which does our government sound more like? I'll quote part of it for you:

"... advocate the creation of a single-party state"
"... governments forbid and suppress criticism and opposition to the government"
"... opposes class conflict and blames capitalist liberal democracies for creating class conflict and in turn blames communists for exploiting class conflict"

Now does that describe our current government or what?

Words have meanings, you can't just arbitrarily assign your own meaning to a word and have people take you seriously.
  • To: Joyce
"we have tried to have logical discussions with them using facts and links to back us up"

Awww, now you're confusing yourself with ME! If you recall, I was the one offering links and facts and evidence to back up my claims, and YOU were the one complaining that I shouldn't drag in a bunch of "lies" that waste everybody's time.

And I agree! If I were hoping to actually EDUCATE the folks here, I'd bother with more links and facts. But this is a talk-radio audience, a lost cause. So I'm just having fun.

    Hope you are too! (grin)
  • Democrats
    The definition of democrat -

"One who panders to the mindless whims of the masses" - to call one a democrat in the days of our founding fathers would be fighting words! In these days it means lie, cheat and tax your followers and let them feel good about it!!
  • Mushmouth
Is it just me did he walk down that hall like Mushmouth?
  • Tea Parties and Trolls
They may have been a small % in an of themselves but how many people (correction: potential voters) watched them on the few channels that actually covered it? How many heard about them? How many had their curiousity lifted enough to go do some research?

Must have gotten someone's attention or he wouldn't have made fun. It's a symbolic gesture, doesn't matter if it doesn't jive completely with the original Tea Party. We know what we mean and those it is intended for are getting the idea.

Also, it's not going to be the last ones.

As far as the trolls, we have tried to have logical discussions with them using facts and links to back us up. But they get worse the more you talk to them and it usually ends up with them calling us racist and KKK members. So why waste anymore of our time?
  • Ask Obama
    I like the classics..

You have about a snowball chance in hell.
  • RE:Perspective
Perspective IS what is needed. However, the only one we have is our own. I hate to be so negative, but this is NOT going to get any better any time soon. The only way copyleft, hugo and others like them are going to get it is to be ABSOLUTELY DESTITUTE with no one to ask for help. Then they will konw they are wrong! That is coming!!!! Those of us who do, will continue to do. Those of you who don't will begin to starve. When you come to my house to rob me, I will exterminate you like the parasite you are because I have always believed in protecting myself. I have NEVER trusted the government to operate with anyone's interests but their own. If you believe they are doing anything for YOU, you are delusional. BTW, the Democraps and the Repugnicans have been SOCIALIST for decades. When an elected official cuts spending, I mean really CUTS, like a whole department, then maybe they are NOT socialist.
  • A Leader to "his" people
Obama is a classic example of the people he leads and voted into office. He's spending other peoples money (like homeowners who couldn't afford their mortgages) with no intention of paying it backup (fiscal responsibility). Those who voted him in, deserve him.
  • Agression a sign of incompotence.
    Perspective.

Perspective is something that is lost on this country at this time. For instance: The Swine Flu. It has killed 191 people, mostly in Mexico. Do you know how many people die annually in the US to the normal run of the mill seasonal flue? http://www.cnn.com/2009/HEALTH/04/28/regular.flu/

Thousands have died since January of this year alone.

Now lets move on and put some perspective on the Tea Parties.

    http://northshorejournal.org/tea-party-turnout-nationwide

The estimated turnout nation wide for "tea parties" was 475,820 out of a possible 300,000,000 people. That is .15% of the US population. Do you think anyone really cares about that small a number?

I remember when Neal used to make fun of people wanting to do tea parties. Do any of you even know what the original tea party was about? Taxation without representation. We had representatives who voted against this spending, we lost. Also to be noted is that the original tea party people actually destroyed property to cause both a financial loss to the tea producer as well as a loss of tax revenue to the government in protest. So having a backyard bar-b-q at the courthouse isn't going to have the same kind of impact.

Always bashing and attacking people does nothing but make you look ignorant. Copy Left brings up a good point, nobody is going to take you seriously if you keep calling Obama a muslim, because he isn't. Even though his policies are socialist leaning, he would never admit he is a socialist. So calling Obama out on it only makes you look ignorant because he isn't a socialist (maybe a fascist, but not a socialist).

So instead of insulting people, which is a cowards way out of an argument, how about you bring some facts to the table (with sources) that prove your point. Don't just mock people, because honestly it only makes you look stupid and invalidates anything important you might have to say.

Thank God for that! Let me tell you which event I'd rather have happen to me...
  • Hey stupid poopy diaper heads
By JimmyT @ 04/30/09 11:02:33 AM: "why don't you all collectively raise the IQ of the American public by taking a long walk off a short pier?"

Can you please explain how this comment (or similar ones made by you or others) advances or contributes to the debates on the issues that are supposed to be taking place here?

If you have a quarrel with something specific that one of these "trolls" said, then fine, respond to it with your own analysis, logic, data, etc. But playground-style name-calling or taunting suggests you're the one with the IQ problem.

I don't care what side you are on; comments that are purely name calling are infantile, a waste of time, and reflect poorly on this online community. Is this an issues forum among educated adults, or is this a club for those who flunked 5th grade and who have corresponding argumentative and rhetorical skills?
  • let me tell you a secret
You see...Copy knows we are right. When he wrote his snide little diatribe, he had in mind at the time to get under our skins. He WANTED to piss us off with his little statements. He wanted to sit back and look at his computer screen with his arms folded across his chest with a little "teabagger" (used correctly) smile on his face because he's subconsciously pissed because he knows we're right. He loves his misery. Why else would he even come to a conservative website? His opening remark shows his faulty thought process. “…shows you’re NOT serious.” Typical lefty, knowing the will of the people like that. Whatever, congratulations lib, you upset some conservatives and had attention paid to you. Good boy, now go play.
  • on a scale of 1-10?
"...but you see, ours goes to ELEVEN."
    -This is Spinal Tap
  • FairTax
Boortz's chances for a "serious" conversation with President Obama about the FairTax.
    10 to 10th
  • Real Socialists
I actually agree with Copy…democrats don’t want us to be a socialist country. I feel all grown up now. It’s their campaign donors that want us to be socialist, and since the demos still want their money and power to continue the only thing they have to offer these people are pet projects and useless bills to further their gain at the expense of the taxpayers. If they could find donors that actually want a capitalist society, then they would appear to be capitalists.
  • Fair Tax
I have not yet read it, but I received my copy of Hugh Hewitt's book, against the fair tax. I am looking forward to reading it and considering both sides. Can we anticipate a healthy debate amongst Neal and Hugh anytime soon? I would like to see that.
  • Obama addresses Right Wing Extremists?
Corbett, Forrest, Hugo's Ghost, and Copyleft bring nothing but brain dead comments... It's like a person with Autism and they forgot to medicate. Random outbursts that make you sympathize with their parents.

I'm surprised the President actually spoke towards the productive people. However it WAS in a collectivist style with his "WE are going to cut our health care costs down over the long term, how WE are going to stabilize Social Security."
Translation: He's happy to have a serious conversation about how he and other government entities will take future taxpayer money and take even more taxpayer money to fix government programs that have been controlled by government since their inception. Furthermore, one should seriously ignore the Congressional Budget Office and other indicators throughout world history showing this big government method ALWAYS ends in failure.

Gee I'm looking at history, that must mean I'm not SERIOUS.
  • Chances
Seriously, you have a better chance of finding the end of Pi than to have a sit-down discussion with Obama.
  • But ... let's not play games and pretend that the reason [for the deficit] is because of the Recovery Act."

There is only one reason for the deficit: Washington spent more money than it had in it's coffers. So, the recovery act will spend more money not in the coffers. How is that "NOT" adding to the deficit?
  • Obama - How did Joe the Plumber Work Out for You?
"let me just remind them that I am happy to have a serious conversation" The last time he had a conversation was with Joe the Plumber and look how well that worked out for him. Think he'll try it again? Not without a teleprompter.
  • Go De!!!
    Got you riled up!

We ALL need to get this riled up. I'll be in a Tea Party on July 4th!
  • The Fantastic Four
I see members of "The Fantastic Four" (Copyleft, Hugo's Ghost, Stanley Gable, and Gavin Volaire) have weighed in on the typical template response. Isn't it great when you hear people talk about how they hate America (the very supporters of Cynthia McKinney) and then turn around to say they hope America succeeds? I wonder when they will put anything out there that really shows an advancement of freedom instead of they typical mantra of denying it like the idiot libs do everyday.
  • the antithesis of a good man
Bush took a lot of criticism during his time in office.. and for the most part his response was to turn the other cheek. Something that the teachings of the bible has long given many people who want to live a good and moral life.

Obama is the antithesis of a good person. He is angry, edgy, hateful.. he cannot take an insult or a threat without snapping back with an uneducated and spiteful response. He dismisses those that disagree with his sociofascist policies with jeers and spite.

Obama is an angry hate filled youth. He wears a chip on his shoulder because his narcissism tells him that he is the greatest person on earth and that all others exist to worship him as a god.

Obama is a dangerous man.. insane and pathologically narcissistic like Adolf Hitler Joseph Stalin, Hugo Chavez, Fidel Castro, Kim Jong Il, and most other oppressive tyrants throughout the history of humanity.
  • Obama and his giggles
Obama can say BS like, I didn't know about the tea parties. If this is true why did they have 100s of FBI agents mixed into the crowd(homelandsecurity.net). That would have called for Presidential order or acknowledgement. LIAR = Obama! I was there in the crowd too. There was not hate, just a need to throw out these Career Ivy League Politicians. ANd I say throw the book at them on the way out or a copy of the Constitution! HA! Obama will have a bigger laugh maybe - because the July 4th Tea Party - will 3 or 4 maybe more times bigger than the second tea party set. I know many people who had to work on April 15 who will be there on July 4th with their whole families. Looking forward to the future. For those who FEAR the government will be POSSESSED by it. Those who do not FEAR, will be able to POSSESS STRENGTH ONLY!!!! So if you fear, bottle it up and replace it with WILL AND STRENGTH! The power is within each of us.
  • Disturbing
Obviously, PrezBo is highly insecure. The depths to which this "man" (and I use the term loosely) has lowered the office of the president is staggering. His problem is that he desperately "needs" everyone to love him. He just can't fathom, in his pitiful ego-maniacal reality, that this will never happen. How about caring more for your country and less about your ego, you dumb-ass bozo of a president? Oh, I found it interesting that a prime-time network show "Lie To Me" was televised at the same time. How fitting. To accept his offer of so-called "serious dialogue" would be to capitulate and admit that the debate is about healthcare and social security. It is not. It is about blatant fiscal irresponsbility and utter contempt for our constitution.
  • Ask Him
    Neal,

Please ask President Obama for a chance to sit down and discuss the FairTax. He can't say "NO" if you don't ask.
  • A serious conversation? LOL!
Ok, Obamy, come on by the State Capitol and let's have a serious converstaion. No teleprompter, no softball questions from your adoring fans, no covert investigations by state agencies of private citzens who dare ask questions about your plans with taxpayer dollars, none of that. And Copyleft can't translate for you. If you want me or anyone who believes in actual 'fiscal responsibility'( not the wink and a nod kind you 'progressives' rant about) to take you seriously, quit hiding behind the fake 'press conferences'! We got in your head, Bro'. You wouldn't be talking about us if we hadn't. Don't lull yourself into believing that having a majority in the Senate( for about 14 months )and high approval ratings( for the moment) gets you 'street cred' with us. We count, we're growing in number, and we will get louder. You don't want any of this, little man!
  • Obama's speeches
As I strain to listen to even short blocks of the chosen ones speeches it is amazing how much someone can speek without making any direct commitment or addressing a issue objectively.

Every damn thing he says is carefully crafted non-commital rhetoric. I've not heard him produce an actual answer to a question yet.

Typical Obama speek is ; "we will work hard to find a way to resolve or economic issues. Rest assured the solutions will be comprehensive and well thought out. I am optomistic that we will stabalize the ecomony in as quick a timeframe as possible. Our solutions will be ones that benefit all Americans."

Now after reading that can you find anything that even remotely resembles a phrase with any real substance. No, it is all touchy feel-good BS and that my friends is what he feeeds to us and he knows the dumb masses will gobble it up.
  • Corbett is an idiot
Hmmmm let's take in what you said.. sounds like you do not pay taxes and have never studied the other options that could be out there. You are a mistake just like Obama... how is that for 'real world'. Anyways, now I have spoken to you. Neal Boortz keep up the good fight.
  • Serious Conversation
    on a scale of 1-10; I'd say about 23
  • Serious Conversation
How can we have a serious conversation when our limbic brains are pushing against our frontal lobes?
  • OBAMA ADDRESSES ALL YOU 'ANTI-TAX' PEOPLE
Last we heard is, he didn't even know the tax protests were happening. Make up your mind.
Since the tax protesters didn't destroy property, leave litter, and stink up the areas, he didn't recognize them as protests by the standards of his supporters.
  • Hey Neal!
I just went to the WH website and submitted a challenge for you and O to debate. You're welcome!!!
  • those of us?
Holy smokes! Did BO just alienate over half the country? Fox is blowing away CNN, MSNBC, HN, et al in the ratings. The rating are high because the masses are tired of the same Marxist BS coming from the MSM.
  • 9.8
I give the chance you can have a serious conversation a 9.8. The man may be a liar but he is not a total failure.
  • Talk to the grownups?
So Bam-Bam offers to have a serious conversation about what he thinks the issues are while talking about the "teabaggers". But, according to Copyleft that offer was only extended to his supporters, not any of the "teabaggers" he was refering to. Maby he could debate the issues with Pelosi, that would be a great one. Let's just call this what it is, a pollitically expedient quote that he forgot the instant after he said it. He never had any intention of having a serious conversation with anyone who remotely dissagrees with him.

Obama saying that he would love to have a serious conversation with anyone is akin to bumping into your ex and telling them is was good to see them and that you should have lunch sometime. You don't mean it, but you say it anyway.
  • Copylogic
So, according to Copyleft, closing your eyes and ignoring facts makes you an adult. By that logic, Copyleft must be 498 years old.
  • Serious conversation
There is no way to have a serious conversation about the "Fair Tax" because it is not a serious proposal. The "Fair Tax" was (and is) merely a publicity stunt that Boortz milks for more than it is worth. It ranks right up there with calls to resume the gold standard -- ideas that sound good, but have absolutely no chance whatsoever of being implemented.

It's time for Boortz to just let this Fair Tax thing die & rejoin the real world.
  • Forrest
I don't recall Bush ever insulting or demeaning the protesters. Obama would have done better to keep his mouth shut. Just like running his mouth about Rush. Rush then challenged him to a debate. No go. And now O claims to be willing to discuss with the people? That's bull.
  • Copy...puke
Was waiting for you to come out of the darkness and luckily we are ready with the RAID.

Apparently you don't know that talk radio listeners typically are smarter and am willing to bet that right talk radio listeners are smarter than left talk radio listeners (as if there are any left)

The Left doesn't openly want to destroy this great country it's just there lack of understanding of how things work that will destroy this country. Work obviously is something foreign the the Left.

As usual you are a condescending elitist wanna-be drivel sipper who isn’t worth much more than taking up a carbon foot print.
  • @ Copy's point
It is refreshing that you agree wholeheartedly with the fact that during the Bush Administration, all protesters, organized rallies and the such were comprised of whiny babies having childish tantrums.

Looks like you had millions of these "sour-grapes-whiny-diaper-filling-binky-suckers on your side then.

It's just that for the time being, this same class of citizens are running the show.

It's not that Obama wants to talk to the grownups, he's to busy with his hands over his ears going Na-Na-Na-Na-Na-Na-Na-Na-Na-Na-Na-Na-Na!
  • COPYLEFT IS A MENTAL MIDGET
Copy...You cannot even make a decent argument. You are claiming that people that listen to talk radio are stupid and yet here you are on the website of a talk radio host. What does that make you? If you know talk radio is stupid and yet you participate, that makes you even more stupid.

As far as the teabag parties...You probably don't even know the reason or the symbolism of the tea bag. I'm betting on your limited government education.
  • insulting
I never thought I would see elected officials, especially the President be so condescending and insulting to a group of American Citizens that choose to voice their opposition to excessive government spending. I don't recall the media or politicians calling war protestors names. This rant of his on the tea parties is hand in hand with his "bitter, clinging American" comments during the campaign. I didn't vote for a Parent-in-Chief, did you?
  • Deficits
I believe it was Santayana who said, "Those who do not learn from history are condemned to repeat it". Printing press money which is what we are making now led to the destruction of the Confederacy, The Weimar Republic, Zimbabwe and many other "failed states". I am old enough to recall the first $100 billion peacetime budget. I still recall being staggered when I learned that the national debt had become $300 billion.

In reality, we already have a dollar in decline. Check commodity exchanges and foreign exchanges for confirmation. Another trillion in unbacked currency will certainly not help that situation.

No,my information has not been coming from talk radio all these years but rather from newspapers and publications like the "Wall Street Journal".
  • Would love to see it!
And maybe you can explain the difference between Tea Parties and the disgusting expression "teabagging". That really makes people lose all credibility when they use that term.
  • focus on the word "serious"
It is difficult to hold a serious conversation with someone wearing a straw hat with 20 teabags taped to the rim. At least he's saying he'll discuss the topic... we saw how Bush reacted to protesters... he ignored them when he could, or had them thrown out, or prescreened out, but in any case, you never saw anyone in a pink shirt invited to sit down and have a conversation with him.
  • How Obama views us regular folks
Obama obviously is an elitist snob who looks down his nose at the true produces in this country. He speaks of citizens who are concerned about too-high taxes with much disdain. He would do well to not diss large segments of the voting populace. Elephants have long memories. Maybe even rino's too.
  • Not likely
I think you might talk to him about the time that it starts snowing in Miami in July.

Although I usually wouldn't comment on other people's comments, Copyleft's last comment has one point that needs to be addressed. Why should I have to agree that Obama is not something that he is (a socialist)to appear more "grown-up" in your eyes? Would you accept my statement that I no longer believe that he is a fascist, and is in fact a socialist now? Before, it appeared that he just wanted to run the companies, but leave them in the hands of private citizens. Now however, he has made it clear with his "restructuring" plans for GM and Chrysler that he really wants to take over the companies, even though he "promises to give them back." Anyway, back to my original point, if I have to admit to something that I know to be untrue so that I may hold a serious conversation with someone, then I would rather not hold that conversation.
  • Doubtful
I am willing to wager that they will not even pick up the phone to talk with you!
  • Missed the point, as usual
Attending teabagging parties and listening to talk radio are indicators that you're NOT serious, folks.

Obama's only willing to talk to the grownups... and you'll have to set aside your childish tantrums in order to qualify.

Try this, for an easy start: Do you agree that Obama is not a "socialist" or "closet Muslim"? Do you agree that liberals don't secretly (or openly) hope for America to be destroyed and/or surrendered to Muslim fanatics?

If so, congratulations! You've grown up a little. Maybe you can participate in an intelligent, grownup conversation sometime.

If you're still stuck on talk-radio levels of stupid, however... no such luck. But keep trying!
  • Your chances = Nil
Because you don't matter, Neal. And yeah, I know George W. Bush had you over to the house a few times. Did it ever occur to you that W. and Karl Rove just looked at you as a useful idiot? Chew on that for a minute.
  • Nealz Chances ....
    10.5?
  • He'll come on your show
Right after he gets done debating Rush, Sean, and all of the FOX News folks, he'll get on Air Force 1 and spend another billion dollars flying to Atlanta to meet with you. Will you invite John Linder and Herman Cain to be there too? Or do you think that would intimidate Prezbo too much?
  • Same Chance
You probably have about the same chance as Dick Cheney calling someone up to see if they want to go hunting
  • recovery act
lets not pretend the Recovery Act is about recovering anything...
  • Sounds a lot like Castro did
Castro said the same king of thing early on. Of course the basic premise is "shut up, we're doing it my way"

I wonder then, after passing more than a trillion in spending, who is responsible for the deficit? And could a liberal define what a "deficit" is. Or is this more Clintonian type non-understanding of basic English.
  • Yours goes to 11
  • amazing...
So 10's of thousands of people across the country unite to ask Chairman Obama to read his job description in the constitution and start acting like President of the U.S rather than the Soviet Union, and accept the concept of the rule of law rather than practicing lawlessness and he thinks its a joke. Wow....America truly got the Chairman they deserved. How bad does it really have to get before Americans give up this 'war on terror' distractive rubbish and realize that the war is right here at home against American citizens who want the constitution followed??
  • serious chance
You have about as much "chance" of having a serious conversation with Obama, as "95%" of americans getting a tax cut. It will be a serious bipartisian discussion in which the speakers will be harmoniously left out.
  • amazing...

  • How's this for serious -> stop spending money and there will be no deficit
"...But ... let's not play games and pretend that the reason [for the deficit] is because of the Recovery Act."

So...signing a spending bill of over $800 billion dollars has nothing to do with a deficit? Hey, Bush's prescription medicare increase added to the deficit, the original TARP added to the deficit (both of which I opposed), and so does the nth round of bail outs.

You want a serious conversation about the deficit? Stop spending gobs of money, and we won't have a growing deficit!

You aren't "helping" anything, because you are stealing from one group to pay off another in mandates not dictated by the Constitution.
  • debating Obama
If he brings his teleprompter, you might have a battle on your hands. If he doesn't you shold be able to whip him easy. But in reality, I give you a 10.
  • the Prez...
no chance, Neal. On your scale, I think you're going to get a higher score than that Yamaguchi girl ever did in figure skating. Say, do you think she was good in math?
  • No way in hell Jose!
I'd guess that your chance of getting to have a "serious" talk is about 43 on your scale of 1 - 10. I do know that 43 is > 10, but I did attend some govt schools, so thats my excuse and I'm sticking to it. The only way Obozo knows he's engaged in a serious conversation is if the text on the teleprompter is in italics.
  • Obama's "serious conversation"
Would that be the serious conversation where they pour water into your face while Obama asks you questions?
  • Your chances
on a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 bing no way in hell, I will give you an 11. And to be honest I don't think it is that good.
  • Your chances
of having a 3 way with Shania Twain and Jessica Alba are much better than that meeting with Barry-O
  • Chances
    11
  • Arrogance
    That will cost him.
  • ...on a scale from 1 to 10...
    I'll give it a 29.
  • Uhhhh...
Who went to a Tea Party because of Health Care costs or the instability of Social Security?
  • When
..will people understand, this man says what he thinks the dumbmasses wants to hear. He hasn't followed through on a single promise made during the campaign. When I hear him giving a speech, I remind myself that he's lying. Keep reminding yourself of that, and you'll understand. PreBo has an agenda. He's not going to let something like the Constitution get in the way of that.
  • OBAMA ADDRESSES ALL YOU 'ANTI-TAX' PEOPLE
Another thought; Could Obama be any more dismissive about the "tea parties" (I believe he called them "tea-baggers" earlier)?
  • Chances
10 - Al Gore will be proven right on global warming before PBO has a serious conversation with Neal.
  • OBAMA ADDRESSES ALL YOU 'ANTI-TAX' PEOPLE
On a scale from 1 to 10, I'd give your chances an "11".
  • Rating
I'd have to give it 11 there Neal. Dems are afraid of smaller government ideas.
  • He most certainly is responsible
He (and the media) forgets he was Senator when the last budget was passed and he supported all the helpings at the govt trough late last year.
  • 11.
  • A conversation with Barry
I think a lot of us would like to have a conversation with Barry... I for one would have a lot to say to him... but would he have a conversation with me without his telepromter?
  • If memory serves....
When my elected officials tried to have a serious conversation about the stimulus bill, his response was "I won." It was his actions that brought about the tea party movement. This man's arrogance becomes more evident every time he opens his mouth. The effects of the kool-aid are starting to wear off for a whole lot of people.
  • scale
On a scale of 1-10, your chances of having that conversation is an H.
  • Obama And The Tea Bags
Here's a REAL connection between Obama and communism:
If he had his way there would be no FoxNews, no talk radio, absolutely no mass information not controlled by HIM.
Think about that and try to tell yourself 'this is the America in which I want to be'.
  • Fairtax meeting with PBO
    1 to 10 chance?

    Maybe 9.999%
