What others are saying

  • Go Joe the Plumber!
Gotta love Joe the Plumber! and he's getting more and more publicity all the time. Joe the Plumber speaks to real Americans! Palin / Plumber 2012!
  • tshirtdoctor...too much free time
Quit whining about Joe the Plumber. You should be grateful he asked a question that put Obama on the spot. Nobody else was at that time.
  • t-shrit doctor
Funny... that's exactly what I was thinking... about Barack Obama.
  • Joe Who?
Joe the Plumber is to republicans as Cindy Sheehan is to democrats. Stop giving this nimrod a platform just because he's pimping your no-traction-getting FAIR TAX idea
  • I Care!
What Joe has to say makes sense. And why is it that when working class Joes (and Josephines) make a "mistake" on their tax returns, it is almost universally in the IRS's favor, but when rising stars like Timmy Turbo Tax do it, it's in their favor?
  • Who cares
Who cares what you say, tshirt-doctor?

You make tshirts with goofy liberal slogans. Why should I have to listen to you speak?
  • uh, I care
The IRS is an abomination that should never have grown to the power it has in this country. And I think a lot of people, not just him or I, feel that way. It doesn't matter who speaks the message, it is one that resonates with a lot of people in this country.
  • Education
Joe "Not" the Plumber and Neal should get along fine discussing the problems facing this country today!
Neither one of them has any education past high school. I don't know about the faux plumber, but Neal did graduate from high school.
  • Joe the plumber
I didn't hear the segment with him. I'm not losing any sleep over it. This guy holds no appeal for me. I could care less what he says.
  • Amen to that
I think he [Sam] sometimes speaks the truth, but he pissed me off and lost any support from me after he came out and bashed McCain after the election. It's horrible that this main would use a good person like McCain to gain fame and notoriety, and then turn and badmouth him after he loses the most important election on the planet.
  • Joe the Plumber
I'm sure Joe is an average nice guy like anybody you meet on the streets of America. He would probably be a good guy to have a beer and shoot the breeze with. All that said, the day Obama walked down his street changed his life. Suddenly he is an author and journalist and media darling of the right. My basic problem is I think he lied that day about who he was and what the tax situation was going to do to him. Pure and simple. He said he was about to buy a business that would put him in a particular tax bracket. He had neither the means or ability to buy that sort of business. Tax liens and licenses have a way of getting in the way of those things. While I'm sure he was probably exercising a little hyperbole to make a point the simple truth is you can't make the point of what something is going to cost you when you have no means to put yourself in that position to begin with. If I said "I was going to be a chemical engineer but the economy made of tuition way too high" that would be okay to say because it doesn't really mean anything. If the truth is though that I was a "C" student in science with no real aptitude for it then what I "say" I was going to do versus what was "achievable" at the time should not suddenly make me an expert in the area. Sorry, but for me he is not all that different from some of the Hollywood celebs and little tarts who spout off all the time. The media made them what they are but the value of their opinion isn't based on what they know, but rather face recognition. Sean Penn discussing Venezuala? Who cares? Joe the Plumber talking politics? About as relative as Sean.
  • who cares?
who cares what this man says? i'm glad he's got a job. i'm not glad that he's not a plumber. if he's a plumber that means i would'nt have to hear him speak, those words that aren't really his.
