EUROPE LOVES OBAMA!

Clearly Obama is much loved in Europe. Let's see if we can put this in some kind of context. A poll taken in Europe during the election last year revealed that 58% of Europeans would like to see a weaker United States. Connect the dots. Europe wants America weakened. Europe loves Obama. Obama responds weakly to North Korean missile launch. Not all that hard to figure this out, is it?

What others are saying

  • Obamas and Europe
Did you all not realise yet that the Europeans are not expressing "love" for Obama? Mainly they are expressing huge relief that Bush and his cronies are gone and America is talking and listening again. The US couldn't lead the world with arrogance. Welcome back. In Europe we want you and need you as our friends.
  • The Obamas in Europe
I swear, if I see one more news article on how much the Obamas are adored in Europe, I'm going to puke on my shoes. They aren't adored over here, and I don't give a crap what the h*ll she's wearing. She has a big rear and most of her clothing makes her look fat.

Not to mention the fact that she doesn't like America anyway...or, at least she didn't til her husband got voted PresBO. Then it was all smiles and flutters, and $100/lb Japanese beef at cocktail parties on Wednesdays on the taxpayer's buck.
  • NO!
OMG!! what would happen if someone from europe came to us and opened CNN? they would think that Obama has a 98% approval rate. The only reason that you think Obama is so popular in Europe is because you're relying on the european MSM, that is about 6 times more liberal than MSNBC. There is a strong opposition to Obama in Europe. And even right before elections, there was a play in London about Obama's life - they were giving away tickets for free, because no one was interested. England was all about McCain, you could see signs, buy t-shirts, books all about McCain. There are crowds coming out to hear Obama in Europe the same way there are crowds coming out to hear Obama here in US - the high school/college crowds.

The only crazy reasoning I see is why you still choose to be a part of this country. Why don't you go to France and take one for the team?
  • The 58% poll
You've mentioned that poll several times, Neil. Any chance you could post a link to it?
  • AWK
Obama is an absolute idiot. You haven't learned that yet? Check out Dum Dum losing his place on the teleprompter. He even silently mouths the words of his puppet master....classic: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j3zft6_mZjs

As a rule of thumb, the MSM consistently paints every Democrat as an intellectual giant. Al Gore is a perfect example....dumb as a brick, yet he wins the Nobel prize. Go figure. Obama is another good example of this phenomenon.

I feel bad for black people. They've been waiting for a black president for years, and they get stuck with Dum Dum. What a letdown.
  • @Jubilation
Yes, they did pay us back. At least the UK did:

  • osamabama prez o' da ussa
of course the euro trash luv our non-us citizen, muslim, marxist! it's too bad we can't keep him over there. that would mean that whoever is controlling him could come out from behind the curtain.
  • Who cares what they think.
Europe can't bail themselves out of growing home grown Islamofascist terrorists, couldn't defend themselves from a Russian assault across the borders, and can't bail themselves out of socialism. Top that off with the fact the Euroweenies don't pay US taxes, aren't involved with our election process (but you know they want to be), and don't contribute as much money globally as the US, and we're supposed to give a damn what Europe thinks WHY? And don't even get me started on that Spanish POS who wants to have Bush & others arrested for war atrocities against so-called innocents in Gitmo and elsewhere. Gag me with liberalism.
  • AWK
WHY do you think they like him? It isn't for the reasons you think. Certainly not for any reasons that make me proud.
  • Would Europeans vote for Obama?
Would Europeans have voted for Obama to be president of one of their countries? I doubt it. Talk about a bunch of racists. Ameircans don't near approach the racism that exists in many of those countries. Especially towards blacks. What a bunch of hypocrites.
  • Yeah, isn't it just terrible that people around the world like our president
Yeah, I'd rather have a president who is almost universally loathed and regarded as an intellectual midget.
  • Let DO connect the dots...
Both the Republicans(the neo-con brand, not the traditional conservatives) and the Democrats who are essentially now socialists, want to see America weekend. Why do you think both groups ignore the constitution and get America involved in wars it can't afford that do not threaten security, while the border remains open? So that they can turn around and inflate and destroy the American currency, in hopes that more Americans will be forced to depend on government.
  • Europe loves Obama
Obama or Axlerod should investigate the requirements for European Union President to determine if Obama is eligible to run. After all, Tony Blair and presumably Angela Merkel, (if she loses the German chancellorship election), are his main competition. and he has surely dampened their hopes with his recent magnetic campaigning in Europe. Nevermind that little U.S. constitutional obstacle. We are talking the future interests of the globe via the asencion of Barack Hussein Obama to the "World's King of Kool".
  • Joyce
Yes, 2010 is something to look forward to. I just hope we're still allowed to have elections then.
  • What's he really up to...
...running for President of the WORLD!
    I wish it wouldn't take 4-8 years.
  • Did them Europeons ever pay us back ...
... for stopping Germany in 1945? For stopping Germany in 1918? Didn't think so.
  • Survey
This is more of a question. I hear Mr. Boortz reference this survey of Europe wanting a weaker United States regularly. I was wondering if he or anyone else here could point me to the source of this survey. I don't doubt its veracity, i just like to have primary source information.
  • Reconcile this, Neal
Neal, don't you want a weaker US federal government? How do you reconcile that with a wish to have it have even more military power?

Considering that we already spend as much on our military as every other country in the world combined, and depending on the year, 7 to 10 times more than any other individual country, I'd fully like to have other countries step up and bear some of the cost of global security. They're certainly not going to spend the money if the US is fully willing to pay for everything.
  • T-shirt doctor
Try asking any country that we bailed out of a tough spot using our military. freedom always comes with a bloody price tag, its the spiteful and ignorant that take full advantage of the perks of freedom. Let our prisons start outsourcing prisoners to another country and watch the crime rate fall. Have you seen the yearly cost to coddle one of these US prisoners, If I remember correctly Turkey would take all we send for close to $5.00 per day. The returning prisoners then could tell you the meaning of freedom. What a pampered bunch we have become, We expect soo much.

  • How fitting
The King and Queen of America meet the Queen of England.
  • true Ben
But it hurts so much when you wake up and realize.... oh no he's still here!

    2010, it's a start
  • American racist
I was in Brussels just prior to Christmas. There were "yes we can" signs in all of the store windows. They were all so excited, and the people who asked me about it couldn't understand why I wasn't. They assumed I was a typical American racist for not embracing this ebony God. I said, "black, white, yellow, brown....whatever. I'm just happy if my president isn't a left-wing Marxist who doesn't bow down to foreigners".
  • Europe
American's need to realize Europe has *never* liked, or wanted the best for us. In 1782 Thomas Jefferson wrote in "Notes on Virginia" that he had to defend this country from foreign observers who belittled everything in America, from the size of the animals, to the intelligence of our leaders.
  • EUROPE LOVES OBAMA!
That was obvious too many years ago.
  • So, the fact that our allies like us...
Is now a BAD thing. Nice, crazy reasoning there.

This "us against the world" nonsense has never been a sensible foreign policy, and I'm glad we've put it behind us. Europe is NOT our enemy, Neal.
  • Yeah, Joyce
    I know.

But it's such a good dream...
  • Europe Loves Obama!
Europe always loves a butt-kissing, marxist weakling.
  • HOW ABOUT A TRADE?
Hello EU......are you listening? We'll trade you one Obasama for one Blair (Tony, that is)!
  • The Dale Carnegie Effect
Dale Carnegie teaches that if we are to have someone like us we need to make them feel good about themselves. Kind of like when your dog slobbers all over you when you get home from work. Of course the dog wants something in return. Unfortunately, Obama's slobbering won't get us food in our bowl or even a scratch behind the ears.
  • A weaker United States
we don't want that! lets up our defense spending a few trillion dollars. a year! who cares that our defense spending is 10 times as much as the rest of the world. its made us free! as long as you don't break the laws. and we've got some laws. as a matter of fact, we've got more people in jail than any country.

what good has it done that america is so strong?
  • Ben
    You're dreaming, wake up buddy!!!!

    ...sigh....
  • Europe loves Obama
They can have him! Just one stipulation; they can't change their mind and give him back...
