Okay, folks. We have our predictions for this year's hurricane season from a Colorado State University forecast team. They predict that we are going to have six hurricanes this year. Only six? But I thought that all of this global warming was supposed to cause multiple catastrophic events like Katrina?
We'll keep you informed as to how global warming will affect a hurricane near you. In the meantime, enjoy the colder-than-usual weather.

Your statement that No it can't be. That kind of statment is idiotic. Are you able to think outside of the talking points you hear on the Neal Boortz show.
Say your math is correct about .11% being man made. You ask how is .11% of anything relevant. The .11% continues to COMPOUND. Remember man made carbon is being ADDED to the environment. Over a relatively short period of time that adds up. As far as the relevancy of .11% figure up how much you are paying in brokerage fees over the lifetime of your IRA. It is a significant number at only at about .11%.
Point 2: The earth will survive, mother nature will go on, it is man that could be in trouble. We have a moral responsibility to protect the environment while we are here because it is the right thing to do for us and for future generations. Your point 2 is a cop out.
Point 3. The ideal temperature from man's perspective is right now. Adjustments in climate will force species to evolve. When major shifts in climate occur species become extinct. Climate will change regardless of man's envolvment, the point is not to expedite this change.

Mother Earth will cleanse herself if she needs to. She will always shift back and forth. She will NOT take into consideration the comfort of humans. Nothing we can do one way or the other. It's 4 billion years of Earth versus about (depending on which report you use) 4 million years of man. We are just not that important in the grand scheme of things.

No, it can't be. Consider the following:
- 95% of the greenhouse gas is comprised of water vapor, of which all is natural (i.e. man has no impact over).
- 1.5% is methane and other gases
- the remaining 3.5% is carbon.
Now, focus on that carbon piece, which as I far as I can tell, is the sole reason environmentalists use for their scam. Of that carbon (i.e. the 3.5% of total greenhouse gases), nearly all, apx. 97% of it, is natural, and only 3% is man-made. SO, IN OTHER WORDS, man-made carbon respresents 3% of 3.5%, or a measly 0.11% of total greenhouse gases.
Using simple math, even the one you learned at your braindead public school, you can see that if everyone's goal was to increase their carbon output tenfold, it would still be a trace component. How on earth is 0.11% of anything relevant? Give me freakin' break.
(2) Secondly, let's say I am full of crap, and yes, man is causing warming. What kind of arrogance do you and your ilk have to think that you can control Mother Nature?? Ask those people in buried in Pompeii whether they feel like a threat to the planet. Ask the dinosaurs if they are a threat to the planet. WTF! Do you think there is some magic thermostat in the sky that you can set as you wish.
(3) Before you say it is too warm, can you please tell me what the ideal temperature should be??? Unless you idiots can tell me that, then how on earth can you say something is too warm or cold???

Get used to it. Check out Solar Cycle 24 at http://www.solarcycle24.com. Indications are that we could be entering a minimum like the Dalton or the Maunder minimums. Cycle 24 should have started up in earnest over a year ago. In general colder periods on earth have never been good for mankind. For one thing they shrink the growing periods.

Global Warming
I love the idea of global warming.It stays too cold for too long to suite me.Since the world revolves around me, I love to think that it will be getting warmer.
The Conservatives better get another message...
Personally I don't believe that either side can claim beyond a doubt, that global warming is or is not man-made. The conservative (esp talk radio) position seems to be that we should not worry about polluting or carbon footprints because it is some conspiracy masterminded by former commie,tree hugging,anti-capitalist nutjobs. Young voters who will be needed if the conservative party is to be anything more than an oppostion party in the future, don't buy this argument.
Conservatives should have a platform of becoming carbon energy independent. The car and factory pollution, while they may not affect the temperature as much as liberals try to make everyone believe, is still bad. A responsible government is going to take care of the environment with the utmost priority.
Ultimately, what if man-made pollution is significantly alterning our climate? We have the capabalities and potential forsight to prevent problems that generations of future of Americans may have to deal with if we ignore enviromental concerns. The message should be that our country will be the cleanest, most energy efficient county on the planet regardless of the b.s. science being thrown out by both sides.

Global Warming
And our Idiot-in-Chief is in Turkey, during one of his townhalls, telling them that we needed to sign Kyoto. Mind you- Kyoto was voted against 95-0 in Congress. OBozo said that he will push for a new Kyoto-type treaty.
Using the same propaganda and lies Al Goron uses, OBozo stated that the science clearly shows that we are warming! I don't know what "science" he is following, but we have been cooling for 10 years and many predict it will continue to cool for another 10 years. We have opening day baseball games getting canceled because of snow and cold, for the love of christ, and these morons still trumpet this nonsense. But then again, we all know what this whole scam is about...
Atlantic Coolest since 1994
Neal you missed this explanation in the forecast: "The forecasters cited several reasons for reducing their forecast from an active season to an average season:
1) Sea surface temperature (SST) anomalies in the tropical Atlantic have cooled considerably since December. In fact, these SST anomalies are at their coolest level since July 1994."
