Here's an old cover of Auto Pilot. Guess what? I'm not really flying the plane in this photo! PhotoShop is a useful tool, isn't it?
Fox News .. being the evil right-wing network that it is ... has actually turned down yet another PrezBO does Prime Time press conference. The administration requested that networks air his 100 day address to the nation during primetime on Wednesday, and Fox News turned it down. Man does this have the liberal thongs in a wad! That means, of course, that I love it. We don't need another tradition here. The media is already compelled to carry a state of the union address every year .. and valuable broadcast time is surrendered to the governing authorities several times a year to make room for their propaganda. That, mis amigos, is zactly what this Obama speech will be - propaganda. In years past it has been the province of the media to grade the president on the first 100 days. Obama has already tried to turn this around by having his spokesperson grade the press. Ha ha. Laughed my codpiece off. Now Obama wants to grab the news cycle by doing his own 100-day critique, and Fox News is the only outlet (thus far) to say no. Good show.
Over 7000 followers on Twitter so far. I just know we can reach 10,000. Unlike other hosts, I actually Tweet. User name "Talkmaster". Oh yeah, and Jamie Dupree is on Twitter too!
I asked this question all day yesterday, and I will ask it again today. Then, to make sure you are completely bored, I will ask it again tomorrow. I will continue to ask it until somebody gives me a freaking response. For all the hoopla surrounding Obama's approaching 100th day in office, what has the man accomplished? Seriously, folks. I want someone to answer the question. Now the Democrat National Committee will tell you that Obama has "laid a foundation for change." Big deal. Fidel Castro "laid a foundation for change" in Cuba in the late '50s. When in the world are people going to understand that its not the change that is important .. its what you're changing into. From my Obama's change has been all about changing a society based on individualism, liberty and self-sufficiency into one based on collectivism, soft tyranny and government dependence. If that's what you voted for .. well then that's just what you're going to get. Back to the Democrat National Committee. They have a good bit of cash lying around ... so they decided to spend some on brushing up Obama's image. The committee has produced a television ad to promote Obama's accomplishments during his first 100 days! Wow! This ought to be pretty sensational! We're getting this straight from the source! So here is what the Democrat National Committee says that Obama has accomplished: -He signed the economic recovery act (the stimulus bill) -He signed the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Restoration Act -He signed a bill for the State Children's Health Insurance Program -He has outlined plans to "invest" in areas like healthcare, energy and education
Is there anything that stands out to you about this list? Here's something to think about ... how many of these acts or bills or plans do anything to decrease the size, scope or spending of the federal government? Another question ... which one of these great and glorious accomplishments actually enhance freedom in America? The answer would be none. Obama's greatest accomplishments have been promising change and growing our government. For a liberal, this probably makes Obama a very accomplished president. Obama isn't the only person out there who believes that America's greatness comes from government. As I told you yesterday .. the people who are going to be most affected by Obama's first 100 days in office are people who are not in a position to comment on the job he's done thus far. These people are your children and your grandchildren. Save all of these articles and columns praising Obama for his rock star status and "hipness" ... let them see how cool future generations think it is to be paying of a massive debt brought on by a inexperienced bit-government leader who gained power on the basis of a slogan. Speaking of rock stars .........
The articles pouring out of the lamestream media about Obama's first 100 days are priceless. I was serious, folks, about making a little scrapbook for your children. Yesterday I hope you had the chance to read the article about Obama being our "hippest" president. Today, we get this article from the American Free Press: Obamas rock and rule. Let me just give you a taste of what this has to offer .... Fans swooning over the First Family's every move, wall-to-wall media coverage and one pampered pooch: the Obamas are the planet's hottest rock stars busy revamping the image of the US presidency. In the 100 days since President Barack Obama and his family arrived in the White House there has been no sign of any let-up in the Obamania which swept the globe during the 2008 campaign. Rather it has moved to the next level. Tweenie girls now pin posters of the Obama's daughters, Malia, 10 and Sasha, seven, to their bedroom walls and fantasize about joining White House sleepovers and becoming BFFL -- best friends for life -- with the First Kids. Magazine editors fight for the coolest image of the new president and his wife, Michelle, whether digging in the new organic garden, showing off their honed muscles, or romping with the First dog, Bo ... And even though the United States is in the grip of its worst recession since the Great Depression of the 1930s, it seems the Obamas can do no wrong .... Washingtonians have been lapping it up. Restaurants graced by the Obamas, see seats booked up for weeks ahead afterwards. Kids are clamoring to get onto basketball teams in the hope that they will bump into one of the girls, and by extension their parents. And suddenly frumpy, staid old Washington is cool again.
This is what Americans wanted from their president, and they got it. The American Idol, YouTube, Entertainment Tonight voters of this country wanted a president that would look really cool on the cover of magazines, so they voted for the guy. They knew nothing about how he would represent our country to foreign leaders, no concept of his desires to radically grow our government, nothing. As I said before, your children will pay the price for this obsession with having a rock star for a president.
Yesterday was an interesting day for New Yorkers. The Pentagon thought that it would be a good idea to fly a presidential plane around the Statue of Liberty, trailed by an F-16 fighter jet. They were flying as low as 1000 feet above the city. Turned out that it was for a photo shoot. OK ... nothing wrong with a photo shoot. I can see where the Air Force would want glossy photos of Air Force One circling the Statue of Liberty ... though any connection between liberty and the person currently riding on Air Force One is vague at best. Here's the problem. New Yorkers didn't know about the photo shoot. Even the mayor didn't know, and is he ever pissed. Apparently people in New York were evacuating buildings and trying to get out of the city. The NYPD had been told about the mission, but was ordered to stay quiet about it. Chuckie Schumer was also upset that no one was notified. He says the whole thing is "absolutely outrageous and appalling .. To think that the FAA would plan such a photo shoot and not warn the public, knowing full well that New Yorkers still have the vivid memory of 9/11 etched in their minds." Oops ... Well, it did give some New York buildings to practice their evacuation plans. I wonder how much this shoot cost the American taxpayers? No problem though. There's plenty of money, right? Someone introduce the Pentagon to Photoshop.
I thought that me hanging around with a group of private pilots and airplane owners this past weekend would stir some outrage. I really thought that revealing that I spent Saturday in the company of evil, accomplished people who (gasp!) own airplanes would cause a backlash. We are, after all, in the "everybody should have an equal amount of stuff" era. Maybe I can still salvage some outrage here if I tell you that Cessna was there showing off its new Cessna Mustang! This is a small jet twin that can carry a pilot and four passengers and can be had for around $2.8 million! It's not so much a business jet as it is a personal jet! Just think of the carbon footprint you can generate as you fly your friends and family off to a $1000 hamburger and weekend at the beach! You had other private jets on display that you could get for as little as a bill and a half! This is an outrage! How dare these people even think about buying luxuries like this when there are people trying to figure out how they can feed their nine children on food stamps and still have time to try to remember who all the fathers were!
Did you see some of the women marrying women and men marrying men in Iowa yesterday? The law of unintended consequences has yet to make itself heard ... but looking at some of the newlyweds on the tube last night was in no way encouraging. What kind of an idiot is going to schedule a "photo-op" that features a large jet transport and a jet fighter flying low over Manhattan --- and not issue a warning? A White House idiot, that's what kind. Someone said the Obama White House has a September 10th mentality. That pretty much describes it. Still steamed about that idiotic "resort fee" at the Gaylord Palms. So you have a pool. BFD. Who doesn't have a pool? And if I want a shuttle to Disney I'll pay for it. Also --- I could hire monks to transcribe for me faster than the web pages on your Internet service included in the "resort fee" could. I just don't like being dollared and dimed to death. And then there's that $13 charge to park your own freaking car. Re-reading Atlas Shrugged. The producers are dropping like flies and the looters are thriving. At my age this is better than a tawdry sex novel. Did you know that on April 15th the White House actually said that PrezBO was "unaware" of the tea parties? Almost 60% of Americans believe that Obama's release of the so-called "torture memos" has made America a more dangerous place. America became a more dangerous place the day he was elected, and we ain't seen nuthin' yet. Just wondering, but will removing all images referencing Christianity and Jesus Christ be a requirement for all venues hosting an Obama speech in the future? Are Muslims comfortable with the "Swine Flu" label? Some are calling it the "Mexican Flu." Mexican's aren't particularly fond of that one either. How about just calling in the "Conservative Flu?" At least the media will love it. Obama's teleprompter bogs down yesterday. When it does he is completely unable to continue with his speech. Click here to see what the teleprompter has to say about this SNAFU. I'm sure Obama took the teleprompter to the woodshed after this gaffe. That Obama ... he's one eloquent sonofagun, isn't he?
OK ... so you want to know a bit more about the swine flu? Click here. And of course there's a Google Map already set up to follow the outbreak. Any guesses as to how much the Treasury Department said it will need to borrow in the current April-June quarter? I'll give you a hint - it's definitely a record. Remember ... government is competing with the private sector here. Every dollar government borrows is a dollar that private business can't borrow. You want a report on Barack Obama's first 100 days? How about the billion dollars a day our government is spending, thanks to his economic stimulus plan. Fox News explains how our country's social policies have taken a left turn during Obama's first 100 days. How about "administrative leave with double pay?" Hillary Clinton says that the United States is ready to "make up for lost time" when it comes to global warming policies. Janet Napolitano has decided that closing the Mexican border is not the answer to containing this swine flu. Yeah ... and we all know that Nitwit Napolitano has the answers, right? The children of illegal aliens cost Los Angeles County $44 million in welfare just in the month of March. What the 100 day headlines won't tell you ... how Obama's tax policies are going to affect small business owners. The latest restructuring plan for General Motors would mean that the government and the UAW would own 89% of GM. Just one of the many reasons why the Obama administration should realize that government healthcare is a bad idea ... the shortage of primary-care doctors. Who would want to be a doctor now? Work for the government? There is no doubt that Obama has a gift for public speaking (with a teleprompter), and he knows he's good. Speaking of teleprompters ... did you see Obama's teleprompter moment yesterday when he tells the prompter that he "jumped the gun." Your tax dollars at work ... Obama has proposed spending $420 million next year to buy land for national parks, forests and wildlife refuges, and to help states fund parks and recreation projects. Thieves in Mexico City are taking full advantage of the fact that everyone is walking around with the same colored masks on because of this swine flu. As if this swine flu wasn't enough ... central Mexico was hit by an earthquake yesterday. A drug more effective than Viagra that can be rubbed directly into your skin? Ya don't say. Hmmmm ... here's an idea. Get the people that market that "Head On" (apply directly to the head) stuff to market this goo. Name? "Come On" (apply directly to the _____) of course. (Gawd, did I really put that in the Nuze?)
