100 DAYS: WHAT HAS HE ACCOMPLISHED?

I asked this question all day yesterday, and I will ask it again today. Then, to make sure you are completely bored, I will ask it again tomorrow. I will continue to ask it until somebody gives me a freaking response. For all the hoopla surrounding Obama's approaching 100th day in office, what has the man accomplished? Seriously, folks. I want someone to answer the question.

Now the Democrat National Committee will tell you that Obama has "laid a foundation for change." Big deal. Fidel Castro "laid a foundation for change" in Cuba in the late '50s. When in the world are people going to understand that its not the change that is important .. its what you're changing into. From my Obama's change has been all about changing a society based on individualism, liberty and self-sufficiency into one based on collectivism, soft tyranny and government dependence. If that's what you voted for .. well then that's just what you're going to get.

Back to the Democrat National Committee. They have a good bit of cash lying around ... so they decided to spend some on brushing up Obama's image. The committee has produced a television ad to promote Obama's accomplishments during his first 100 days! Wow! This ought to be pretty sensational! We're getting this straight from the source! So here is what the Democrat National Committee says that Obama has accomplished:

-He signed the economic recovery act (the stimulus bill)

-He signed the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Restoration Act

-He signed a bill for the State Children's Health Insurance Program

-He has outlined plans to "invest" in areas like healthcare, energy and education

Is there anything that stands out to you about this list? Here's something to think about ... how many of these acts or bills or plans do anything to decrease the size, scope or spending of the federal government? Another question ... which one of these great and glorious accomplishments actually enhance freedom in America? The answer would be none. Obama's greatest accomplishments have been promising change and growing our government. For a liberal, this probably makes Obama a very accomplished president. Obama isn't the only person out there who believes that America's greatness comes from government.

As I told you yesterday .. the people who are going to be most affected by Obama's first 100 days in office are people who are not in a position to comment on the job he's done thus far. These people are your children and your grandchildren. Save all of these articles and columns praising Obama for his rock star status and "hipness" ... let them see how cool future generations think it is to be paying of a massive debt brought on by a inexperienced bit-government leader who gained power on the basis of a slogan.

Speaking of rock stars .........

    Hmmm. So he's lying then. Family Planning is mostly federally funded.

    As to funding stem cell research. The funding for research was there. If you wanted to use some different cells then WAH. Scientists didn't go after funding for research on those lines because the promising (read profitable) research was on other types of stem cells (that means NOT embryonic stem cells)

    Yeah, it's really difficult to fix 8+ years of complete disaster in 100 days. Obama has got to do a better job - after all, the neocons will complain if his results are anything short of a miracle.

    At least we have recovered some of our civil liberties that Herr Cheney and his crowd took from us. And maybe our reputation in the world as holding to our principles will return.... That's important if you ever want go get anything done in a global economy.

    Oops, I forgot, the only economy that 'conservatives' (the current kind, not the real kind) care about is that they have their chunk of the pie, and anybody else is just going to have to tough things out and find a way to get ahead on their own... (that has worked soooo well in history!)

    I'm not a liberal - but with the greed and total economic and social ignorance of the current 'conservative' movement taking the forefront, there is no way I'll call myself conservative!

    You are misunderstanding what I am saying. I am saying Obama is a continuation of Bush. Both surrendered to the fundamentals of socialism, are pushing for conflicts America cannot afford with 11 trillion dollar debt, and are for open borders and rewarding criminals for illegal entry. There is really no difference between the 2 when one really steps back and looks at the big picture.There was no difference with Amnesty Mccain either. Imagine a game of volleyball, Bush was the set-up and now Obama is the spike/kill if you will. There's no talk of actually shrinking governement to a constitutional and therefore legal level. And Im saying the sonner the leftist, neo-con, Fall of Rome Republicans can admit that we haven't seen a speck of conservatism in this country in 8 years the sooner we can get back to some good old fashioned Jefferson type conservatism. REAL conservatism, not this paternalist,big government, imperial horse squeeze Neal seems to support when it comes to foreign policy.There is no 2 ways about it...Bush has paved the way for socialism in this country. We are seeing it unfold in front of us. Im not excusing Obama at all, but we have to understand the grand problem in order to tackle it.We need a 180 turn away from Bush/Obama ideas if this country is to survive. Obama's and Bush ideas need to be done away with. If anything people should be listening to the voice of common sense which would be Ron Paul.

  • I actually came up with something he accomplished...
    Obama has successfully carried out the agenda of the NWO...the planned release of weaponized human/avian/swine flu into the general population with one week before the bank stress test results finally come out. People will be in such a panic over all the bodies piling up in the US that they will be less likely to leave their homes to make a run on the banks on May 4th. Yeah I went there. By the way if you are skeptical I challenge you to research the FEMA camps and the 500,000 or so coffins that are waiting in Georgia. Each of those coffins can carry 4 disease ridden bodies. Also contact your local train yards and go take a ride out to see all the triple level car carriers out there. In more populated areas the trains are over 5 miles long. Wouldn't take long to dispose of the bodies if you think about it. Wish Neal could get Oliver North on his show and ask him about Rex 84. Course that will never happen.

    Here's the CHANGE I've seen so far: The country is in debt for eons; The stupidity of releasing interrogation tactics is jeopardizing our safety; We now have socialized banks and the automobile industry; The census is going to be controlled by the White House and they'll find a way to count every illegal alien they can find; The first family finally got a dog which they should have named Bro rather than Bo. That's all folks.

    I posted an analysis last week that libs are still angry (bush is gone, 'K?) because they believe deep down, this Obamadinejad thing will be short-lived. November 2010 to be exact.

    Lo and behold, a Harvard psychiatrist says the same thing in the Examiner this morning.

    Therefore, that is why they troll. Kind of like Obama-caine looking for that last line to snort before the eight ball runs out.

    The global gag rule refers to the policy applying to all NGOs receiving federal funding. Does that include your uncle? If not, it's irrelevant; if so, he's lying to you.

    Stem cells: Authorization for using a few lines of stem cells is not the same as FUNDING expanded research on a broader collection of them. You missed a word there.

    What about the lobbyist he tried to put on his cabinet (or somewhere in his administration) along with all the tax cheats? Besides, lobbyists have already found a way around this. It's only reportable and banned if the person is a "registered" lobbyist. So they just get someone else to approach the politicians for them. As reported on WSJ radio this morning.

    Then there are the unintended (I hope) consequences of his "accomplishments":
    fuel efficiency standards
    Yeah, let's spend BILLIONS trying to save the auto industry just to ensure their death.
    health care
    We enjoy the BEST health care in the world, period. And you want the government to ruin this?

    OK, I admit he has accomplished one thing;
    he has approved the single largest budget in the history of our country. In fact it is more than ALL other budgets added together for the entire history of our country in just one single year.

    BTW YOU say "Yeah... that's pretty much exactly why nobody's listening to you, folks. Because your insane ramblings have no bearing on reality."

    global gag rule...my uncle works for family planning and had no gag rule that he knows of.

    Authorised funding for Embryonic stem cell research...the authorisation was always there for research using certain existing stem cell lines, most of which have been completely unused.

    Obama has accomplished in 100 days nothing short of weakening the security of the United States in both an economic and physical sense. And how has he done this?

    • The economic destruction act he signed into law will ensure tax increases to redistribute wealth will be necessary for years to come.
    • Traveling around the world in campaign mode apologizing for America’s so called evils and hugging every two-bit dictator on the face of the planet.
    • Angering our neighbors to the south and north by supporting policy changes backed by jack-booted union thugs that undermine the North American Free Trade Agreement.
    • Releasing CIA memos outlining the tactics used against terrorists to obtain intelligence.
    • Announcing the cut of 10% in the military budget (tell me how does this in any way shape or form benefit the United States and enhance our security?)
    • Pushing for health care reform which will lead to government control over every American citizen’s personal health. This will lead to rationing and people needlessly dying because they cannot obtain time sensitive treatments for illnesses like cancer.

    Yes, folks this is the change you can believe in and look for more of it over the remainder of the Obama administration. At every turn Obama claims he is doing what is best for the future of the people of the United States when in reality he is weakening America and recklessly putting all our lives in increasing danger.

    Once again, when confronted with any kind of criticism about Obama.. the only tactic that anyone seems to have is to compare him to Bush.

    Critique: "Obama's doing x and y!"

    Response: "Well... look at what BUSH did!!!" or "He's only doing what BUSH has already done!!"

    Maybe this is a little hard for you people to grasp, so I'll spell it out nice and clear using standard American English: This does not excuse Obama doing the same things to the tenth degree.

    We get that Bush did all of this. We hated it then, we really hate it now.

    If all you have to do is to come on here and try to defend or excuse Obama's actions by screaming about what Bush did, I'll paraphrase to you exactly what Obama said to everyone after the election: "I won, deal with it."

    Besides, unless I'm mistaken people tried to make the same argument about Clinton when Bush was dealing with 9/11 and Osama Bin Laden's little group. Wasn't Clinton offered Osama's head on a platter...? Hmm. But no, Bush didn't 'inherit' that problem, not at all. That excuse only works for Obama, I see. Besides, Bush isn't in office anymore, Obama is. The people have spoken.

    Liberals, Libertarians, and true Conservatives spent 8 years crying and complaining and demonizing Bush and his policies, just like the Republicans did to Carter and Clinton while they were in office ruining the country, and now it's Obama's turn.

    If the next 100 look ANYTHING like this 100 days, all we will have left in our pocket is the MEASLEY CHANGE!

    In a time of economic depression and business and industry watching their bottom lines, you'd THINK that perhaps government would TRY and make it easier for business by cutting taxes. If taxes and the bottom line are cut, business can HIRE people. People who have income spend money ! DUHHH!

    This is what happens when we vote in a bunch of clowns that have never, ever met a payroll and/or run a business.

    5. Shown real committment to the Armed Forces and not just lip service. Withdrawing from Iraq and providing resources to the war we should have won 4 years ago in Afghanistan.

    Neal would never admit this, but we "trolls" are the best thing he has going. You get all bent out of shape by being exposed to contrarian viewpoints . . . and that keeps you coming to this site and, presumably, listening to his radio show for daddy's (Neal's) reassurance that your 19th-century views on the issues are OK.

    I love it when once in a while, some self-appointed webmaster will post a comment to the effect that "your kind aren't welcome here" . . . I love the hypocrisy of those who would call Obama a fascist or a totalitarian would also call for expunging unwanted points of view from a web forum.

    President Obama has solidified the partisan division of the US between the self-sufficient and the dependents.

    Personally, I've been living the John Gault life for the last 12 years and exist in the 8 to 12 percent tax bracket as opposed the 30 to 40 percent.

    You aren’t going to get an answer. He hasn’t accomplished anything yet but he will. He and his fellow leftists will accomplish financial Armageddon for the USA. Just wait another 12 months or so and it will be obvious. Of course I suppose by “accomplish” you mean something positive. Sorry, I can’t help you there.

    BTW, stop talking about our children and grandchildren having to endure the burdens of our current crop of “leader’s” third world banana republic economic policies. Although those poor wretches that survive may gather around a fire in a cave at some point in the future and tell tales about some legendary land of plenty in the distant past, it’s going to hit the fan big time (LarryC is correct – FUBAR) for all of us current citizens within 18 months or less. Think of it this way. The world can’t carry another nonproductive third world group of humans especially one the size of the USA without very dire consequences for all the progress made up to this point by Western Civilization. It will take nothing short of a miracle to get us out of the economic mess we are about to experience and that miracle would likely take a couple of generations. The thing for conservatives and libertarians to do now is try to survive so that there is some chance that such a miracle can happen.

    Oh, and P.S. tyranny never remains soft for long.

    Are you better off or worse off than you were 100 days ago?

    As for myself, I am better off . . . actually much better . . . I earned a big bonus for the 6-month period October through March, I am refinancing my home into a much lower interest rate, and my wife's consulting firm just won a big project with a new client.

    I guess if your life is not in good shape right now, it must be Obama's fault, not your own fault.

    Who gives a flying **** how Obama has performed over his 100 days? It is plainly obvious that Obama's agenda is the same as Bush and Clinton. We are being lied to on a daily basis. There are some VERY VERY scary things happening in our country right now. Someone needs to wake up the masses in this country so that we can take it back. It is plainly obvious that the Federal Reserve and other nefarious entities such as the IMF and some of the governments defense contractors are in complete control of our White House and Congress. Most people don't want to believe that our politicians have abandoned us. The extremely weathly are leaving this country claiming that soon America will no longer exist. This IS happening people. Wake up and prepare yourselves and your families. Things in this country are about to get REALLY REALLY bad. Be VERY careful who you trust. Be very careful trusting even your pastors because the government has already gotten to a great number of them.

    Can you point to any actual LIES in my so-called "pack of lies" from yesterday's list of accomplishments? Of course not.

    Now, Joyce went into some small level of detail explaining why SHE didn't think any of Obama's accomplishments were actually accomplishments at all... but that doesn't change anything.

    The accomplishments still occurred. The far right simply doesn't LIKE those accomplishments. Only in Right-Wing Fantasy Land does that translate into "no accomplishments at all."

    I'm sure Neal will declare that 'no one has been able to come up with any accomplishments in Obama's first 100 days'... and, if you lived in Neal's libertardian fantasy land, you'd agree. But here in reality: good work, Mister President. Keep it up, you're driving your enemies CRAZY.

  • Obama's Accomplishments are simple... pt. 2
    Forgot to add his changing the world's perception of the U.S. Some think he made us look weaker. Frankly, Hannity harped on the word "arrogant" WAY too much and used Obama's quote out of context. Hannity was full of B.S. over that "scare." I'm glad O'Reily is on Fox to reign Hannity's ridiculous tirades to reality.

    It is good to make friends today though Bush's snubbing the UN was fun to watch as well. What a balancing act our President must perform!

    I remember that many conservatives blasted Clinton when he got involved with Bosnia. Conservatives supported isolationism back then. With Bush, the tune changed due to party lines. Now with Obama, we have a cross between Clinton and Bush lacking the show of might Reagan used to bankrupt the Soviets into making nice.

    We are where we are because people continue to vote for the jackasses the GOP and DNC sell to the voters.

    Now the losers are griping about the WAY I posted President Obama's accomplishments, and the TIMING of the post.

    It's fun to watch the desperate scrambling the far right has to resort to, just to avoid facing the facts.

    Of course Joyce & Co. won't call any of his accomplishments "REAL accomplishments"... because what Obama has done is actually good for America, rather than good for the right wing and their dupes.

    The facts are there... and you'll continue to ignore and deny them while sliding your way into irrelevance, wondering all the while, "Why aren't people listening? WE know that Obama's actually a foreign-born Covert Muslim Operative who begs foreign tyrants for the chance to serve them and steal our guns and destroy America, his lifelong dream!"

    • Issued stricter guidelines and limitations on lobbyists’ legal bribery efforts (except for his buddies)
    • Ordered the military to comply with their own laws in interrogating prisoners (and hamstrung them in the process, just like Carter)
    • DIDN'T immediately order the entire Bush administration arrested and flown to a black-ops torture facility for war crimes (you first)(careful what you wish for, not much telling what would come out of those type of investigations, all of Washington could be emptied -- then again maybe we should)
    • Ordered the increase of fuel-efficiency standards (and added Cap & Trade which if it goes through will double many electric bills)
    • Expanded children’s healthcare insurance (CHIP program) (yeah for illegals and 25 year olds, this will bankrupt us)
    • Set a program for repairing and upgrading our energy infrastructure
    (using illegal labor to install and foreign parts)
    And best of all…
    • He infuriated the far right by simply existing, which is always a good thing for America. (and this one is just stupid)

    Now, I haven't agreed with _everything_ he's done... (WHAT???_) but then, Bush set the bar so very, very low, didn't he?

    Knowing this unarguable fact here's what Obama has continued/accomplished that Bush started;

    Financially unaffordable conflicts around the world(notice I didn't say "wars")

    Promoting a 'war on terror' while the border remains open.

    Amnesty/Rewards for criminals.

    Involvement in countries around the planet where America has no constitutional authority, and that are not a threat to America.

    Government schools

    A Fascist Banking system

    Fascist medical system

    No repeal of the anti-American Patriot Act

    An un-audited federal reserve

    the inflation tax

    Policing the planet to the tune of bankruptcy.

    Providing an efficient recruitment tool for islamic fascists with American military presence on their land.

    ...and Neal and other Roman empire Republicans who would like to think they are conservatives continue to allow himself to be fooled/bamboozled by leftist neo-con welfarist, foreign policy rather than accepting a non-interventionist conservative foreign policy...what a shame.

    He had made it impossible for the successful people in this country to spend their hard earned money the way they want to spend it.
    He has relaxed the terror we worked so hard to instill in terrorist.

    He will make health care affordable and accessible to all because the working individual will pay for it.
    He banned torture, ordered the closing of the prison for terrorism detainees at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and shook hands with leftist Latin American leaders who clashed with Freedom.
    He’s allowed the Gargoyle in North Korea to run amuck and unchecked.

    I've noticed that here and other forums that the 'Resident Trolls' always seem to have some unfair advantages.

    It always seems like he/she or it posts early in the morning and then only posts later on in the afternoon, just before things shut down – conveniently leaving his rantings 'Unanswered' for at least 12 or more hours.

    It also will only post when it has an advantage – using hit and run tactics.

    Whether Copy is a real person or Statist 'dark side' to the web admin. Is one question to be answered – these types seem to be staples of a lot of forums.

    In some ways the best tactic in dealing with these morons is to ignore and talk past them – using their rantings to trash the statists.

    In my case, you will see that Copy will only respond to this posting if he/she or it can find some sort of mistake or nit on my part that it can exploit to it's advantage.

    Otherwise, it will ignore these comments and move on the green pastures in it it's attempts to infuriate conservatives.

    Why are we even talking about the 'First Hundred Days'? Go back to the beginning of the Pelosi Reign of Terror and the 'first hundred days'...what's this obsession with the first 100? It's a marathon, not a sprint race. Unless of course, you're eager to cram as much bad legislation into the 'first 100 days' as you can so you spend the next 100 or so trying to explain and spin all the bad bills you just passed! So does that mean the Democrats are mailing it in for the remainder of their terms? Lucky for us Obama has been 'takin' it to the streets'. The less time he actually spends with the likes of Pelosi, Reid, Shumer, and Frank, the less harm he can do. I'm still trying to explain to my 17 and 10 year old how they're going to have to pay for all these stupid spending programs. And just because we cut spending at home doesn't mean the government has to do the same. Because that's part of 'Hope' and 'Change'!

    First, thanks to Joyce for handling my light work.

    And thanks to Copy for "doing my homework" for me. IF I really didn't know what is going on, I might just believe his lies.

    Copy, you may have noticed a pattern from the comments Joyce made. Did you notice every "accomplishment" you listed either wasn't so or only applied to one side and not the other. Another pattern was that most "accomplishments" had some rather NASTY unintended consequences.

    That's one of the biggest problems with the crowd in DC. They don't think past the next election. They also seem to be prone to instant gratification. What! Those evil AIG execs got bonus? Let's pass a retroactive and totally unconstitutional law! And let's do it NOW! This is a crisis! We can't wait...

    Copy, when you can post something with just a shred of truth in it, please respond.
