THE TRUTH ABOUT OBAMA'S BUDGET

You may remember that last month Obama unveiled his budget for 2010. And guess what it included? More government! He proposed spending $3.6 trillion, which is more than 25% of our GDP. And that number will only grow so long as Obama is in the White House.

It seems that the Congressional Budget Office has some news for Obama .. his budget would commit Washington to unsustainable deficits and increase borrowing by over $9 trillion over the next decade. That is more than four times the deficits of George Bush.

It gets worse, folks. The Congressional Budget Office predicts that "Obama's policies would cause government spending to swell above historic levels even after the costly programs to alleviate the recession and shore up the financial system have ended. The result, the CBO said, was that by 2019 the US national debt would be about 82 per cent of GDP - about double where it is today."

How about that? You voted for this guy because he looked cool and enjoys basketball. You voted for him because he appeared on all of your favorite magazine covers and was praised by your favorite TV and movie stars. And, of course, you voted for him because of that magical word "change!" Working out pretty well, isn't it?

Obama, of course, is saying that the CBO has it all wrong. HE, based on his immense government and management experience - which he has been displaying so brilliantly - says that he will cut the deficit in half by the end of his first term. The ONLY way that will happen is if the House and Senate are turned over to a new breed of Republican and a stop is put to this idiocy.

FYI .. the Heritage Foundation has an excellent analysis of Obama's budget.

What others are saying

  • On Record
    Quiet Riot,
Resignation? Why give this CROOK the satisfaction of "resigning"? I say IMPEACH HIS BUTT!!!
  • I want to be on Record as being the first to
    Call for o'bama's resignation.

There is a cover up going on over the AIG bonus legislation is the new watergate of 2009. Couple this with the overall incompetence of this person. At least he says "the buck stomps here" - so accept tax cheat timmy's resignation and then do us all a favor and tender yours.
  • GOP solution?
Neal hits the target when he says "new breed of Republicans." The current group is sorely lacking and it's not just the RINO's. We should be seeing Senators and House Reps on TV all day every day shouting from the rooftops that the constitution is being shredded and debt is exploding. They need to teach the electorate that without business there is no money for any of the governments programs. And businesses need banks and Wall St. to be fully functional. Only when biz, banks and Wall St. do well does America do well with low unemployment and other measures of economic health.
  • The Democrat Budget
Well folks, you know maybe its time that these Gen X and Y'rs that vaulted the divine BO into office get a taste of what it really means to be a "tax and spend democrat"? Those of us that survived the Johnson and Carter administrations already know whats happened to our countries wealth and standard of living. These young people, the ones without children, mortgages, car loans, and college tuition bills have no real frame of reference for what it will take to pay off this debt. Some - those weak willed individuals will surely be lost to the ideology of race baiting and wealth envy, but the majority should come around with time.
  • Christopher
In just 3 months time, BO has committed us to more deficit than Bush left after 8 years. Comment?
  • moveon.org deficit video
anyone remember this moveon.org video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A9WKimKIyUQ It was a video showing abunch of children working in factories and stores, and then poses the question of "who is going to pay for George Bush's 1 trillion dollar deficit?" There was a big controversy because they wanted to air it during the Superbowl.Someone should call out Moveon.org asking where is the outcry for Obama's outrageous deficit when there was such a big deal about Bush's. Where are these liberals now? This is the height of hypocrisy. I wish someone would drag this back up and put it on TV.
  • Obama
SEE the Boortz guy's "The Democrat's "Secret Plan". All that is being done by the democrats is for MORE Power, Not to help this country or its people. Also read Meltdown by Thomas E. Woods, Jr. of the Ludwig von Mises Institute.
  • Hey Chris Gardner, there's a problem...
...with your link. It says CNN.

You don't actually think any of us on this board believe the liberal drivel that organization prints, do you?
  • Obama's budjet
Obama = incompetent. Are you happy with your "change" now,Amerika? WTF did you do to us?
  • Budget?
    There is no budget!
Seems he is working to make anti-American Preacher Wright's famous statement come true. (G... D... America!)
  • Budget
This is EXCLUSIVE OF Universal health care. Add another 1 to 2 trillion to that.
  • Big B.O.
Well, this is what happens when you put an arrogant 14 year old in charge of an enterprise.

    You're bound to crash.
  • Obama's Deficit Cutting
The deficit that Obama claims will be halved, is not his deficit, but that of his predecessor.
