What others are saying

  • Fair Tax
My wife and I are attending the tea bag rally on April 15th in Phoenix, but we're not bringing tea bags. We're bringing the Fair Tax. For the past year, every time I see Fair Tax books on special, I grab copies. Sometimes, you can grab copies for as low as $3.99. Also, we're printing some of the flyers from the website, and if someone becomes engaged in a good conversation, and they seem genuinely interested, I'll reach into my bag, and say, "Here, take this book and read it, and then pass it to another interested individual." We just want to take on the opportunity to enlighten good people regarding the Fair Tax.
  • Pay Taxes
Funny, I could have sworn I WAS paying my taxes. April 15 is just the day the government dictated as the day you find out "this is how much money we STOLE from you, by the way we need you to sign a check for just a little bit more"!
  • For Stan
I hope you realize that "Bush's Bills" are tripled by Obama's budget.
    2006 deficit = 200 Billion
    2007 deficit = 300 Billion
    2008 deficit (including TARP 1) = 1 Tril
    Obama's Budget deficits
    2009 deficit = 1.83 Trillion
    2010 deficit = 1.39 Trillion

You read those figures right, he's borrowed more money in 2009 than Bush borrowed in 3 years with the TARP included. But not to worry, Obama's going to reduce that by 1/2 to only 600 Billion deficit. More than double what Bush spent in 2007.

    Get your facts straight please.
  • $1000 screw
    Stan,

could you link to something citing this?
  • Bush's Bills
We all also have to pay the bills Bush left us in Iraq. I didnt know Halliburton could charge 1000 bucks for a screw???

sorry but i never sign anything without fully understanding what i am signing aka a tax return that would be an act of perjury as well as fraud.if the irs wishes to send an expert whom can recite each and every page of the 65000 pages of ohh yeah after the simplification there will be @ 70000 pages after obama simplifys the code and that irs official is able to interpret accurately what each and every page means then and only then will i sign a return.from previous experience i can tell everyone no two tax experts are alike nor do they know what the tax code actually means or says so therefore they are commiting fraud and perjury by implying they are correct what we need is that 180 pages of fairtax and our economy will take a massive injection of stimulus.period...
  • Ok, seriously...
When can we just let it go? When someone has a sh!t ton of money, they usually dont do their own taxes, they pay someone to do it for them and trust that it is done correctly. Personally, I don't care about whether he paid a few grand in taxes. What matters to me is whether he runs his business effectively. Given the results of the market these last couple of weeks after he's made his announcements, it looks like people are getting past his tax transgression and getting behind his ideas for getting us out of this mess. By referring to him as a tax cheat each time you mention him, you're just reducing the value of that comment to a mere annoyance. It is time to let it go.

    no comments yet?

ok.. then I'll start.. there wouldn't be a "tax day" if we had the fairtax..

oh but I forgot.. that will never work because taxing one group of people at a higher percentage of their income than another is "fair" where a flat tax or consumption based tax is "anything but."

I need to remember my liberal thinking.. fair is unfair, truths are lies, slavery is freedom..

Did mine last night and still owe $668 and $150 to the state of GA. 42% I keep and the rest goes to gov.
