What others are saying

  • Necro video
For those paying attention and/or sat through the whole thing, this came from the end of 2006. He talks about making his prediction for 2007. While it doesn't mean that he's lying, it does put a different light on it. And that Apple phone he talks about is the I-Phone which was just slightly successful. In the long run, fundamentals do matter.

Cramer is a clown and he knows it. He does pass on some information in his show, but it's interspersed with BS and hyperbole. To take him at face value is the same as taking Boortz at face value. They are there primarily to entertain. Any information they pass on is a happy accident.

I've never bought into the "masters of the universe" idea. I don't think that the wise guys on Wall street have engineered this stock market crash for their own profit. I'm sure most of them have lost as much or more than the average guy. You can manipulate in the short term. But in the long term, fundamentals do matter. And no amount of manipulation can cure what's going on now
  • What a crook
This guy should never be a market-watchdog, he's a crook. He says in the video that its important to funnel false information down and get it on cnbc (where he works!) who says he isnt doing that now? He's the type of person who'll game the system for his own gain at the expense of others. Watchdogs need morals, he may have some morals if he's talking about some of this stuff but not enough to be a market watchdog, thats for sure.
  • Thanks for playing a game with my 401k
jerk. Cramer and his ilk have run us into the ground. Blame the Dems, blame the Repubs, and you're still missing the target. The target is these guys who have massive amounts of money that they invest on our behalf, and we trust them because they are the ones that know how this works. They then gamble with our money, and have a way to profit from losses. If this were 1929 these people would be jumping out of windows, but these honorless pricks instead just slink into the shadows and enjoy the profits they made at the public's expense.
  • Interesting that Martha Stewart did time for less.
Just think of all the fun buffet and soros are having with our market.

Cramer sure wouldn't want me on the jury if someone playing it straight(or in one of the companies whose stock he manipulated) decides to leave a footprint in the crotch of his pants and alter his facial features some.

There are likable things about him, but he's a crook and he admits it. His honesty may help solve the problem, and that makes him better than the average crook, but still a crook.
  • Manipulation
The key thing here is that it requires millions of dollars that you put at risk in the market. Cramer arrogantly speaks as if this always goes his way-I doubt that. Now, the key is if you bring the press into it. The spreading of rumors to drive stock prices is illegal, though rarely enforced. But the naive ones out there who think that the mysterious "they" can just "walk" a stock up or down at will are really ignorant.
  • Where's the outrage at...
So today in the "blogosphere" there is all this "hell ya" you go Jon, you really got to this heart of the issue. Where's is this same vigor with respect to all of our media in general. What the heck... So many are worked up over this and think this is what journalism should be and yet I do not hear any of that same anger being aimed at the current state of affairs with respect to our media in this country... whatever.
  • Lessons Learned
Cramer explains how to manipulate the market. Madhoff proved that even those who purportedly know how the market works are too stupid to spot a scam.
  • Catch me if you can
How about appointing Cramer as a market-watchdog?

Same concept as Frank Abagnale - the former check fraud criminal turned FBI consultant ...

Cramer just proved the markets can be manipulated, now we just need someone to know what to look for ...
  • Amazing
I always knew this went on but I like the fact tha Cramer has the gonads to drop the info out there. Although for the average investor it sure doesn't make you want to trust the market when you have hedgers running these drills daily!
  • Not surprised
And look at the interviewer's reaction....he can't beleive Cramer is actually saying this stuff. And now people actually listen to him on CNBC??
