Do you remember that town hall meeting PrezBO held in the East Room of the White House last week? Now the Washington Post is reporting that perhaps all was not as it seemed at that meeting ... especially insofar as the questioners who were actually there.

The Post is reporting that there were five questioners in the East Room who were fully identified. All of them turned out to be Obama plants. They were there to ask a question designed to allow Obama to deliver the message he wanted to deliver. The Post provides the following information:

Questioner 1 was Sergio Salmeron: Self-description at the White House: "My name is Sergio Salmeron. I want to find out about health care."

It turns out that Salmeron worked with the Obama campaign since early 2008. His blog was "my.barackobama.com. He did volunteer canvassing for the campaign as well as voter registration work. He was also a campaign translator.

Questioner 2 was Tom Sawner: Self-description: "Sir, I'm Tom Sawner. I'm a service-disabled veteran, small-business owner in Arlington, Virginia. My company, Educational Options, works with public schools."

He was more than a disabled veteran. He was also an adviser on Obama's education platform committee.

Questioner 3 was Carlos Del Toro: Self-description: "My name is Carlos Del Toro. I served in the Navy for 26 years, retired four years ago, and started a small business."

Del Toro was also a candidate for the Virginia House of Delegates last year. He endorsed Obama in an op-ed in the Fredricksburg (Virginia) Free Lance-Star.

Questioner number 4 was 4. Linda Bock: "My name is Linda Bock and I'm a registered nurse just in Prince George's County, Maryland -- been there 34 years at a free senior health center. And I'm here with my fellow nurses from SEIU."

Bock campaigned and canvassed for Obama during the election.

Then there was No. 5: 5. Bonnee L. Breese: "Hi, Mr. President. Thank you so very much for having me, a public school teacher from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, here to be with you.

Simply another Obama supporter. A teacher's union member, by the way.

There was another questioner but they only got her first name, "Elle." The White House won't reveal her surname.

So ... every questioner at the town hall ... at least the questions from the people who were there ... were from pre-selected Obama supporters. No big deal, folks .. but let's not forget that Obama likes to stage his press conferences; and apparently his town hall meetings as well.

What others are saying

  • Human Teleprompters
What a shock huh? President Obamuppet and the Hollywood production continues.
  • Grave error
Thinking, even remotely that Obama and company is "stupid" or "ignorant" is a grave mistake. Democrats thought and pushed that very idea about Bush II and he ran and was elected twice. Never, ever, underestimate your enemy. When you do... you find yourselves in a loosing battle.

These are ideas are designed, scripted, and they are fully aware of the consequences. Never doubt that. Ever.
  • National Labor Relations Board
I would like very much for you to cover the corruption in the Labor Board , the way they forget that they are supposed to represent the employees and the way Unions are coddled by these self-serving liberal minions . Region 28 is run by a zealot named Cornele Overstreet and is officed in Phoenix,Az.
I am a Petitioner in a Decertification effort which , in our 1st Election , we voted out the UFCW Local 99 by a 2:1 margin . The Election was on Feb 20 2008 and the Union , with the help of the Labor board has tied this thing up with petty complaints and Unfair Labor practice charges ever since . The guys in Tucson and Sierra Vista are hoping someone in the media will bring attention to this and expose these people for what they are . We have dealt with threats , lies , coersion and are just sick of it . The insurance in the contract is substandard (Southwest Service Administrators) , the Pension is funded at less than 70% and this is a Sweetheart Union so our pay is not a priority for the Union . I have even filed charges on the Union for cancelling insurances for several employees that the Union knows are not fond of them . We expected this from the Union but to get the shaft by the Labor Board has been absolutely enraging . I have sent letters to several Senators and members of the House in the past few days but with the turmoil in Washington , I don't expect a prompt response from anyone there .
We are the Drivers and Helpers for Waste Management of Southern Arizona .
We just want to get on with our lives and give Waste Management and ourselves an opportunity to excel . The non-union work units are much happier and well taken care of . That is what we want as well . Neal , we deserve better than this and hope that you will help bring attention to our plight and the crooked ways of the NLRB that thinks (like the Unions) that FREE AND FAIR means they are free to do as they please and it is only fair if it goes the way they want it to . Please help us if you can . Just reading this on the air would help boost morale around here . Thanks for being a beacon of light for so many of us listening to your show .
    Ed
  • Odrama's Townhall
This was a perfect example of Waffle House staging . Besides , Teleprompter guy couldn't bail out our Commander-n-Thief quick enough if there were real questions from someone outside of the Presidential bubble . Barry might actually be forced to get real and we can't have that now can we ?
  • Plants in the White House
Hard to believe there are plants inside. I know we have a nice rose garden there. Well, I guess "O" really needed some daisies because his CRAP really doe NOT smell like ROSES!
  • dp
Im never surprise by the soap opera tactics of the DP. Mr Obama knows his koolaid drinking followers will never quetion him(its a shame there that braimless that they dont think for themselves)SO he just shovels this crap left and right. DP alright lol they get you coming and going.
  • What about the questions?
I think it's funny that this entire article just talks about WHO did the asking, not what they asked or, heaven forbid, Obama's answers to the questions.

This type of article is just a distraction from the real issues. Why not post about what color his tie was or if he was wearing his flag pin?

By the way, this was the disabled business owner's question, not really a softball if you asked me:

"Q Today my question is, as a small-business owner, my company is still profitable. We're still growing, we're still hiring. The money that I make as a profit, I'm plowing right back in, and even the money that I pay to the bank for my business loans. Yet under current tax laws, all of that counts as income to me before I ever see a penny of it. Sir, could you please help small businesses by allowing, some way, somehow, money we pay to the bank in principle to not count against our income, and put us in the "richest" before we ever seem a dime, and allow us to invest in this huge engine to drive economic recovery?"
  • But then again...
It would take a lot for me to stand up and ask the same question that 'Joe the Plumber' did during Obama's campaign stop in Ohio. I have paid my taxes but I don't want anyone, that's anyone, to go look me up because I asked a question that few too many asked( but should have!). That's where the line gets crossed. I don't care what people say about me personally, but I have two kids and I don't want any media or government official at any level badgering me or my family. Although I would love to have a chance to confront the President and put him on the spot over quite a few things, same as I would have McCain. It just seems that Obama's staff doesn't want anyone or anything to pose a real threat to his 'integrity' or his sterling 'image'. I'm sure it will play itself out. He will have many chances to soar with the Eagles or splat like the guano.
  • surprise!
OK, Neal...was this supposed to surprise and shock me? *snort* Good luck with that. Nothing our Head-Pinhead-In-Charge does surprises me anymore. Where the surprise was, is how long it took this to become public knowledge.
  • What's a dp?
Ramblin' man is right. It stands for something crude as well, which makes it the poetic and oh so fitting abreviation for the democrat party.
  • This is old news
Why do some act surprised by this? Obama was a wholly manufactured candidate, he is the boy band of polotics, the main stream media and various PACS created him he is an empty suit a sock puppet for the hard left. He told us exactly what he was going to do if he won the election you just needed to listen it is now to late the only thing we can do is try to limit the damage he and his supporters do to this country, the congressional elections in 2010 will be the key.
  • Like going to the movies...
or a really sucky movie. Alot of staging, but there's just very little plot, build up or drama, and the outcome is... well beyond predicatble. How about some Greek columns to spice up that production value???
  • A Warning of Things To Come
This is an excellent 1985 interview of a former KGB officer Yuri Bezmenov. Even then he gave us the framework of how his comrades would go about transforming a nation into a communist state and one way they did it was to "alter perceptions of reality".

Give this video a look and listen to everything this guy says. Notice the things he says about the media and educators. It will send CHILLS down your spine. It's 16 min. long but well worth it.

  • Imagine The Uproar
    If this had been Bush.

If you deny the mainstream media bias, you are either foolish or in complete denial.

  • To "William"
I'm not aware of Bush having done it...perhaps you could provide us some examples rather than the naked assertion. I'd like to know.
  • Hey
Didn't Bush do the same thing? I mean, seriously, this isn't even news.
  • Of course it was staged.......
.....so the TOTUS (Teleprompter Of The US) could adequately respond to questions. Remember, a two-day window is required for adequate response.
  • Newz
Neal, please update your last Boortz Blast link. It is still the one from Feb-you-ary. I missed the latest one with you playing PREZBO.
  • Whats a dp?
Cowboy up, whats a dp?You keep using it.
  • Stacked Deck?
More like empty deck. The anointed one doesn't seem to be capable of answering challenging questions.

    Obama is an empty suit.
  • limitations
    So he's stupid! So what!

Give the guy a break already.
  • Must see tv
The newest game show in town - "WELCOME, TOOOOO, 'FOOLED YA!'" In order to win, you have to get the President to answer a tough question. The jackpot is growing...
  • It's all about perception with the dp.
They will deny reality to the bitter end.
  • chuck todd was a plant, too
The press conference last week, Obama called on Chuck Todd as the first question. So, what questions would NBC's senior white house correspondent have for the President? What tough question would NBC's correspondent have for the President?

Well, the softball (planted) question was about specific sacrifices for the American people.

What a PLANTED QUESTION. Senior White House Correspondent from NBC, and that is his one question for the President?!?

And, if there are any questions as to whether it was a planted question - ALL the leftist talking heads were praising Obama's "connection to the American people" with his answer. The biased left media were praising him for his understanding of the plight of the American people.

What a joke. NBC's best, most inquisitive, teaching question is a softball that Obama can rant about his understanding "the rest of us."

I was embarassed for Chuck Todd. I was embarassed for Obama. I just hope EVERYONE listening could see through that big load of horse-squeeze!!
  • To quote Gomer Pyle
    Yep,thats right,just like Gomer says"SURPRISE,SURPRISE,SURPRISE!"
  • Henrietta Hughes
Neil, could you oragnize a media investigation into what has happened to Henrietta Hughes in Florida since uhBama said he was going to help her? I would like to know what has happened since the (Republican) state rep gave her a place to live for free. What kind of car does she drive? What about the furniture she had in storage for 6 years (for whihc the storage costs could have gone towards rent...nothing like holding on to junk and nowhere to put it). Also, what about the son? Have they found work now? It's been 2 months and a free house to live in. Surely she has improved her life.
  • SURPRISE, SURPRISE,SURPRISE!!!
Come on Neil,do you have any idea how tough it is to preload a teleprompter with all those perfectly worded, emotion evoking responses along with facial tics and timed chuckles if you don't have all the questions before hand? Come on man, give president empty suit a break, you've seen him operate without a script, he makes ex-president George Bush(notice I've addressed them properly)look eloquent, well maybe not eloquent but Pres. Bush definitly looked unscripted at best and completely lost at worst. I'll take that over Obama's, spoonfed practiced Bovine Scatology.
  • Dictator in prep
The "brownshirts" are being prepared (HR 2857), and has already asked 13,000,000 supporters to go door-to-door to press his agenda (and presumably notes were taken about dissenters).
  • Planted
WHAT, you mean, this was not randomly selected folks!!?? I'm totally shocked... Do we really expect anything else from this administration. Remember Miss "I need a house and a car." Yeah, random homeless people...SURE.
  • At least Penn & Teller are confident enough in their stagecraft to not need "plants" in the audience (I know, they picked me to go on stage to verify a trick). When the President Of The United States, leader of the free world, needs "plants" in an audience - while a high-profile stage act doesn't - something is definitely wrong.
  • Waiting on Copyleft and Hugo...
I can't wait to see what these two droolers have to say about this...I'm waiting in anticipation.
  • Sounds typical
Typical of a socialist dictator in training. How long before his brownshirts start going door-to-door silencing dissenters?
  • Questions
So he set up the whole question and answer routine, what did you expect from a Chicago politician, honesty???
