"Every government interference in the economy consists of giving an unearned benefit, extorted by force, to some men at the expense of others."

Check out some of the works of scuplter Duane Hanson. He made the realistic people Neal saw this weekend at an art festival.

This is a must-read article from Victor Davis Hanson .. what if Barack Obama had campaigned on the things he has done since becoming president. He would be in the Senate, that's what.

Is Obama taking on too much at once, at economy's expense? Can't let a good crisis go to waste!

Dick Cheney says that Obama is using this crisis as a means of justifying the largest expansion of federal authority "in the history of the Republic."

The Obama administration has abandoned the term "enemy combatant" to describe detainees at Guantanamo Bay. I guess he went to talk to the terrorists and decided that they really aren't our enemy.

Just a week ago, the Obama administration was saying, "fundamentally, the economy is weak." Now they are changing their tune.

Damn ... really picking on PrezBO today, aren't we? Not that he hasn't earned it.

Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter, RINO, is at a crossroads right now when it comes to this Employee Free Choice Act. If he votes for it, it could spell the end of his career in 2010. Great. Excellent. Let's get rid of the guy.

Here's a word that the Obama administration probably didn't expect would become synonymous with their administration: incompetence.

Speaking of incompetence .. Dick Morris has the same question: Does this guy really know what he is doing?

An open mic moment from Joe Biden ...

The earth hasn't been warming for years; in fact it is getting cooler. So why are environmentalists still trying to tell us how to live? I'll tell you why .. because the global warming movement isn't about science. It's about finding new ways for government to control the private sector and raise money.

The President of Bolivia has decided that his government should seize private land from large-scale owners and redistribute it to people who have none. Worked well in Zimbabwe.

President Medvedev says that Russia's wealthy business owners should return "moral debts" and make sacrifices at a time of economic crisis.

Everybody panic! Washington DC is experiencing a severe AIDS epidemic.

A government school in Portland, Oregon has banned a fifth grader from wearing an Obama mask while performing in the school talent show because some parents felt it was "inappropriate and potentially offensive."

Georgia is back in the news again after both chambers of the Georgia Legislature approved a bill to require proof of citizenship in order to vote. Do you mean these characters actually did something right this year?

The Wall Street Journal asks .. is Ayn Rand relevant? I think we know the answer to that one.

So 1.5 million American children were "homeless" in 2005-2006? Yeah, depends on your definition of "homeless."

In New York City, borough presidents are doing their best to spend tax dollars as wisely as possible. Wait .. who am I kidding.

According to scientists, old age starts at age 27.

What others are saying

  • Got any homeless children
Hey, Neal, you got any homeless children over there? I guess this moron, defines homeless children some bizarre way? ie. Look at all those homeless children at Disney Land? I don't buy it; and don't include runaways or those that have chosen to be independent at the age of 16-19 as children - thats baloney.

I've seen lots of homeless people; served in shelters and helped with soup kitchens before, and yes, while you see an occasional homeless child (usually with a homeless parent) there numbers are very very small in this country. This number would not include foster children.

Idiots, playing fast and loose with number. Lies become truths in two weeks unless you challenge them.
  • D.C. AIDS Epidemic
"The District's report found a 22 percent increase in HIV and AIDS cases from the 12,428 reported at the end of 2006, "

D.C. is a unique city with a population that can vary widely from one election to another.

I wonder if much of that 22% increase can be explained by Democrats regaining congress in 2006 and the White House in 2008.

Democrats certainly aren't the only people that get AIDS, but, many of their constituents fall in the 'high risk' groups.

If it is due to a change in the people that are in D.C. rather than a change in the behavior of the same group of people, I propose they run a new campaign "Cure AIDS in D.C. - Elect Republicans"

    /mostly tongue in cheek
  • TO LULZ
Lulz, just like Obama seems to believe "enemy combatants" is an outmoded phrase. Apparently, we through "innocents" into "gulags." Notice all the quotes? That's because I am being sarcastic!

These liberal fools who will continue to hug their enemy until they get their throat slit seem to forget that these 'innocents' are filthy men detained by our soldiers after having fired upon them or representing some other form of danger.
I should know, I caught some of them myself (with my Army unit's help of course). Keep protecting the enemy, liberals, and see how long your social utopia lasts.
  • What a difference a week makes
So, as long as the economy gets better and the stock markets continue with their winning streak, the Obama team gets the glory. And when it starts to tank anytime afterwards,it will be Bush's fault. I'm sure the talking points are already printed.

Old Age: Great. Thank you Neal. If scientist are right I've got a month left before I get old!

Sculptures: Those a really cool! Kinda creepy, but cool!

Talent show kid: More government lunacy in our schools...by the way, here's a link to the song he was going to do, its pretty funny.

  • Citizenship is not a constitutional requirement for voting
Michael Kang, a law professor at Emory University said Citizenship is not a constitutional requirement for voting,

    is it just me?

    AMENDMENT XIX
The right of citizens of the United States to vote shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex.

    AMENDMENT XV
The right of citizens of the United States to vote
    AMENDMENT XXIV
The right of citizens of the United States to vote in any primary or other election
  • Dick Cheney
Lol, ol' Dick would know all about using a crisis to justify the largest expansion of federal authority "in the history of the Republic."

Oh, but I forgot: The federal authority that controls your social life, spies on you, attempts to see if it can suspend fourth and first amendment rights, and throws innocent people in gulags is the *good* kind of federal authority!
  • Well Duh!
Of course the President is incompetent. He wasn't elected based on competence. He was elected because of demographics, the supposed incompetence of President Bush and his ability to speak well (when teleprompted).
  • Fundamentally sound
Didn't McCain get crucified on the campaign trail last year when he uttered almost the exact same words as the President is now using: our economy is fundamentally sound?
  • video link
    The first link doesn't work.
  • incompetence
ha... I just found this online..
