What others are saying

  • Holy Delgiorno, Batman!
Please, Neal, don't turn your 'bully pulpit' over to this hypocritical religious nutcase again. I would rather listen to Royal espousing socialism and redistribution of wealth than the mush-brained Delgiorno and his 'absolute truth' (God/Jesus) which is, in fact, nothing more than superstitious mumbo-jumbo founded on ignorant interpretations of natural events 2000 years ago. This man uses 'god' for his personal aggrandizement and financial gain, while he whores around, cheats and lies. He is a discredit to the high standards and rational thinking so characteristic of the Neal Boortz show.
  • DelGiorno's fill in
What a mistake to have this vile, boring and vulgar cretin on your show! He is a narcissist on the verge of serious mental problems. He doesn't live what he preaches and was practically run out of Tulsa for various transgressions (Lying on the air about a public official, vulgar abuse of a female dealer at a casino and being caught cheating at a casino).
This fake is execrable in the lowest form of the word! (look it up Michael)
  • Mr. Delgiorno
Neal, we love us some Mike. Thanks for the opportunity to share him with the rest of the country.
  • Michael
    Neal,
As much as I miss you when you are gone, Micheal DelGiorno did a wonderful job. I hope you have him back again.
  • DelGiorno is a ticking time bomb
As I'm sure you've heard from tons of Tulsa fans this guy is a piece of work. He's a chronic adulterer (still to this day), chronic Gambler, and one of the most disrespectful persons I've ever met.

He was fired from 1170 for a reason even though he said he was leaving for professional reasons. He lost his house in Tulsa for a reason even though he said he was "wanting to move out of Tulsa for tax reasons."

I and many others know the charges against him made publicly by those he went against (who are douchebags too) were not unfounded.

"I will never cheat on my wife" was all he could say when he responded to the cheating accusations... not "I have and never will cheat on my wife." There's a reason he chose those words.

Don't desecrate this show with this piece of trash again. From the moment I met this guy I knew he wasn't worth the leased Benz he drove to the restaurant in.
  • Rock On!
I don't know what the hate's for with MD. Props to anybody who's fighting the media's machines of war. It's getting harder and harder to wade through the murk to find truth these days, so anyone out there proclaiming it should be lauded.

Please, God, don't let us find out the United States peaked after a mere 200 years!
  • LOVE the show!!
Neal, I love your show and I have to say having Michael DelGiorno and Gwen on the air was an EXCELLENT choice!!! They rock! They tell it like it is and stand for America and the American people. I give you and them 2 thumbs up for a real world take on things and telling the truth. You guys are awesome!! Bring them back anytime!!P.S.Don't listen to all the Hate mongers leaving messages on here!
  • Defending DelGiorno
Neal, nevermind these narrow-minded fools that have unjustly criticized you and DelGiorno. They are angry and unhappy people who, like cornered snakes, retaliate with venomous nonsense when confronted with overwhelming and irrefutable reason. I listen to Michael DelGiorno almost everyday in Nashville and am increasingly impressed with not only his unique combination of wit and solid values, but his passionate concern for the spiritual direction of our nation. The radio audience is the better for having him on the air.
  • Thanks for D
Really enjoyed your 2 guests from Nashville. They had some sound opinions that were backed up a little be scripture (at times). We could all use more of that. Did a good job with the callers and the topics. Liked!! And why is everyone attacking these guys personaly? They knew how to talk about the stuff that matters. Get over it.
  • Christians/ Conservatives / Republicans
It seems to me that Delgiorno is being bashed for expressing his faith. He is also being slammed for his stance on where life begins. Funny how a radio talk show host in Tennessee can make a decision and standby it, but it is above other peoples pay grade to make that decision. I understand that not all Republicans are conservatives and not all concservatives are christians, but if you wake up in the morning and call yourself a christian you cannot be willing to set back and let the things that are happening continue. Turn off the TV and read a book on some of the things that are being talked about, dont just take the medias word for it, research this stuff for yourself. Just remember that in the end if the christians are right...
  • Michael Delgiorno
    Neal,
It was great having Michael and Gwen fill in for you. It's sad to see that so many bigots are fans of yours. I know it's frustrating to hear when you are doing things wrong, but come on people, it may be time to grow up. You know that what you are doing is wrong, otherwise you wouldn't hate Christians so much for just living our lives the Right and Honest way. Nobody was forcing anything down your throat. Shut the radio off for a day and go pretend that there won't be any consequences for the lives you lead. But stop with the hate. Remember God loves sinners and wanderers and wants you all to come home again by your own free will. Bring Mike and Gwen back anytime!!
Scrappy, it’s not punishment, it’s love.
  • Michael Delgiorno
Michael Delgiorno did a great job covering for you and I really enjoyed it. Be sure to have him on again next time you are going to be out.
  • DelGiorno
We need more of your entertainment in this world. Fill in anytime.
  • Michael D
Fanatastic show. Fill in anytime you want. Someone needs to teach these heathens.
  • Michael DelGiorno
Dirty Politicians in Tulsa got caught, Michael exposed them and kept the heat turned up. Slanted articles aimed at getting him removed, and threatened did not change his resolve nor honesty.
  • Michael DelGiorno
We love having Michael and Gwen living with us right here in the buckle of the Bible Belt, Nashville, TN. I have to travel from time to time, and can hardly wait to get home so I can listen to their show. I wish they got to be on a national show more often so I wouldn't miss them so much when I'm away.
  • Michael DelGiorno
Thank you Neal for having Michael DelGiorno and Gwen host your show! We love them here in Nashville and feel thankful to have strong, sane voices amidst all the mainstream media's liberal "chatterboxes". Keep up the good works!
  • Tulsa? What a joke
The besgt thing that ever came out of Tulsa is Delgiorno. I live in Nashville, where he is on every weekday. I tune out from time to time, but overall, good show and the Tlsa crowd is sour grapes because, well, they are still in Tulsa!
  • Michael DelGiorno
I thought Michael did a very good job filling in for Mr. Boortz!! I listen to Michael and his co-host Gwen daily and I thought it was great that they were given this opportunity to preach the truth on a national level. Everyone in the Tulsa market doesn't realize what they had!
  • Michael
Micheal is loved here in Nashville! I listen to him (and Gwen) every morning. He tells it like it is and I generally agree with him. I am not sure where all the hate is coming from!
  • DelGiorno
    Neal,
I love your show and I thought DelGiorno did a great job filling for you. He had some tough shoes to fill and did well.

    Thanks for all you do.

    Marti
  • Delgiorno - How Refreshing
I enjoy your program and was pleasantly surprised to listen to your fill-in Michael Delgiorno. He covered some great topics, had obviously researched the information and backed up the topics with scripture (a few times). Too bad some listeners find that offensive. I find it refreshing and patriotic. I find it sad people are attacking the man personally on your website. I guess they can't comment on the quality of his work, because it was great. Keep up the good work.
  • Delgiorno rocks
Thanks for having Michael on. His approach is quite different but he is most often a cool drink of water. He is highly rated in the Nashville market and has done wonderful things in the community. Tulsa as I have heard from family and coworkers is a wasteland so it's no wonder Michael moved on for green pastures.
  • MD
DelGiorno is a great host and has a different approach which is usually a cool drink of water. Thanks for having him.
  • Micheal and Gwen
It was wonderful to hear some truth spoken on your show Friday... we need more guys like that on national radio.

    Wonderful show, as always..
  • Go Michael
Great Job, good to see your popular in Atlanta too. We love you in Nashville
  • Michael DelGiorno
Glad to hear someone putting God back into real life (you know, the One who GAVE us life!) Let Michael & Gwen fill in anytime.....
  • Thanks Michael and Gwen!
It's not easy speaking up for what is right. We may not always be the 'perfect' vessel to present what is pure, holy and praiseworthy, but God is looking for people who are willing to step and say, "Here I am Lord, you can you use me!"

King David made a world of mistakes, but yet God called him a dear and close friend, because he always made his heart right.

No one can agree on everything someone says or does, so we must eat the fish and spit out the bones!

Let the haters keep raging, because it means you must be doing something right!! So keep speaking the truth!!! Even when it hurts...
  • Michael Delgiorno
It was great to hear Michael on the Boortz show. He is a breath of fresh air - a true conservative with a never fading faith in Christ. Pleae have him fill in on a regular basis. He is the real deal.
  • DelGiorno
I love you perspective on all things political. The Tulsa people must not have heard the show, what liberal idiots!!! Michael, you are always fair and we love you here in ATL
  • Michael DelGiorno
Neal -- thanks for letting Michael and Gwen fill in for you. I met them when I lived in Tulsa and consider them good friends and brother/sister.

To all you haters...I got two words for you (and I won't say what they are out of respect)
  • Michael and Gwen
Great choice to fill in Neal. It's refreshing to hear someone who isn't afraid to mix religion, politics and entertainment. We here in Nashville would like to thank those of you in Tulsa for not getting it... proves a couple of things... Living on Tulsa Time means being behind... and now we know what they mean in the song Oklahoma when they say "the wind goes sweeping down the plains"... they were talking about the empty gusts coming from those of you who put negative comments on this blog... Have a great day!!!
  • THE RUDE AND MISINFORMED
Some of the people who have commented here obviously have no common sense at all. Do you have nothing better to do than bash people and continue to harass because an opposing view is spoken? Put on your big kid pants and deal!
  • Obama Lovers
It is amazing how 'thin-skinned' all the Obama lovers are. DelGiorno criticized the 'anointed' one and all the Obama kneepad wearers are crying foul. GROW UP!
  • Nashville is proud of DelGiorno!!!
I am so proud of Michael!! He is MY voice on the radio. He echos MY views and opinions on a platform that I don't have access too. There are a lot more people in America that share our opinions. Freak liberals are still the minority. Deal with it!!!!
  • Michael DelGiorno
Neil, I don't know about these other folks, but I've been listening to Michael's show in Nashville since he started. I enjoy listening to him, and find his points are made clear and concise, I appreciate that. As far as having him on your show in your absence, I couldn't have been happier. It was an excellent show. Even in your absence. Keep up the good work! John
  • DelGiorno Fill-In
I thought having this guy on was AWESOME! He did an EXCELLENT job and should fill in for Neal any time he needs a day off...GOOD JOB BOORTZ! :)
  • DelGiorno the rabid dog
    Neal,
Of all the things you’ve lost, you must miss your mind the most. I cannot believe you put the bible-banging two-faced liar Michael Delgiorno on the air in your place recently. Have you lost your mind; or is it the mad cow disease? I listened to MD for a couple years in Tulsa and at first was very interested in what he was about and what he had to say. But, over time he became more abusive and more daring with his attacks and rants on local leaders and politicians to the point that it was just simply unbearable. Not that they didn’t deserve some good old fashioned in your face criticism. But, Delgiorno just didn’t know when to back off. He was the Michael Vick of Tulsa morning radio. Ultimately, it was a sad sight to see, like a good hunting dog slowly gone mad from a rabid skunk bite. Sad as it was though, MD was still so offensive that even the Bible Belt ran him off.
  • GOOD STRATEGY
You only put this guy, MICHAEL DELGIORNO on the air to make yourself look better and have listeners miss you. Good news ... It worked. This reminds me of the old days when my mom use to make me go to church ... To me it was punishment!
  • Delgiorno is a loser
Hey Neal, before you let this shmuck fill in for you again, investigate the circumstances under which he was fired from 1170 in Tulsa.
  • Michael DelGiorno
DelGiorno is a proven liar generally hated in Tulsa. With hope he was welcomed on the air, but his lack of understanding of public policy basics and his unjustified personal attacks on public figures was disruptive without purpose. Ok, so we do miss Gwen, but DelGiorno is a cheap streetwalker for his own ambition. The www.TulsaWorld.com (daily newspaper) covered his hypocritical personal and professional behavior as did the online Zine, www.TulsaToday.com, both have free search features providing details. This guy may have an occasional charming moment, but he is stuck on stupid and not the Christian he claims – former employees and their wives can attest as can several Indian Casinos in Tulsa.
  • Delgiorno
    Neal,

You could have done so much better than this flapper in the wind. The man went off the depend end here in Tulsa and was run out of town by even the conservatives here. Please never use him as a sub for you again.
  • RE: Michael Delgiorno vs Herman Cain
I can't believe someone actually hates Herman; he's full of wisedom and charisma. I think he's a perfect fill in for Neal. Don't listen to them Herman, you're the man.
Plus I could do without another religous person shoving their beliefs down my throat. Christianity was pretty much used as a medevil law system to scare people into following the rules, and now that it's outlived it's purpose I think it's time for people to get real and accept Darwinism.
  • michael
Mr. Boortz, We miss you when you're away. -To maintain your shows' integrity you should keep Delgiorno off your show.
  • DelGiorno
Great to hear someone that believes what he says and says what he believes. If the result is something to wake up the listeners, it might be good for them . There's always NPR if you want to take a nap with the radio on !
  • Wow!
Fabulous show today. DelGiorno tells it like it is. Most folks can't handle the truth... Bring Michael and Gwen back any time.
  • Michael Delgiorno
    Neal,

Thanks for having Michael and Gwen on today. I'm from Tulsa and miss them a lot. It was refreshing to hear them again on the radio.... especially your nationally syndicated show! Keep Mike and Gwen as guests during your absence and you will continue to keep me as a listener!
  • Was it just me or did todays show SUCK!!! Who needs Mike and Gwen when we got Herman and Royal.
  • Transcript
How do I get a transcript of the show today with mike and Gwen?
  • Pleasant Surprise
I enjoyed Michael Delgiorno and Gwen very much and hope you have them fill in for you more in the future. He tells it like it is, like it or not.
  • Wow, the intolerance
I love Neal. I don't always agree with him, but I deal. Today, a Christian man with strong conviction fills in for Neal, and you listeners tear him apart. You are a sad and hateful bunch. As for the issue of abortion, I am not sure why Neal will not have a continued debate on the subject. To many of you are more than willing to take up Neal's offense and run from the subject. I know of 50,000,000 (yes, 50 million) reasons why this should be an ongoing debate. Surely the death of 50 million babies is reason enough not to banish the topic from his show. I really do love Neal, but a Libertarian that does not support life, ultimately doesn't really stand for much, you know? Ignoring the issue does not change it's reality.
  • A break from the routine
Mike and Gwen were a nice break from the routine...but...It's only because we're spoiled by Herman. Great job! I do want to hear Royal again! He's a star in his own right. Mail that check to...
  • mikey D and gwen
Have heard Delgiorno before in Nashville and I like his take no prisoners still of retoric. He's what Boortz would be if if he was "born again". Come to think about it if Boortz "got religion" the pope might be out of a job. Michael don't let any of the liberal-weene comments here bother you. Most of the liberals who comment here have a stroke a the mention of God and crap in their pants if you claim a moral absolute. (by the way I hear gwen is a HOT!)
  • MICHAEL DELGIORNO
    Neal,
This is the guy you poked fun at when you were in Tulsa at the PAC Center. ( Yes I paid to see you )This is the guy banned from the local casinos for alledge cheating and harrasment of black jack dealers. You seemed to take pleasure in taking a jab at KFAQ at the time. I was setting in my seat wondering why you would care about it at all. This guy is no Herman Caine by any stretch of the imagination and a tad bit hypicritical of yourself in my opinion. i would also bet that KRMG is not to pleased. You want to talk about a ratings killer.
  • Michael D
Another listener from Tulsa. I agree with researching the Tulsa World if you would like further background on this man. Not someone who should be representing the show.
  • Michael and Gwen finishing up
I was not able to listen to the entire show, but they sure did a great job of uncovering the big government power grab going on in Washington. Obama, Pelosi, Ried, et al are not concerned with stimulating our economy; at least not yet. First, they are using the economic crisis to fulfill the BIG DREAM of the democrat party - to build a coalition of power that is totally unassailable. Wake up America! After all, isn't that part of ACORN.ORG's mission statement?
Michael and Gwen should take this part of their act on the road and be the opener for a "Rush to Excellence Educational Tour". We need more of that!
  • BRING BACK ROYAL!
I so miss the Royal Treatment! I vote for bringin back Royal. He was smart, funny, and cool.
    We love you Royal!
  • next time you are off
I agree with some of the other posters.
Next time you are off have Royal Marshall host the show. What ever you do PLEASE don't have the Rev. Deligiorno host your show. There are two reason I say that. 1)If I wanted religion I would have been listening to it and 2) this man makes me ashamed of being a registered republican.

    WE WANT ROYAL!!!!!
  • Boortz subbing for Delgiorno?
MD said Boortz was gonna sub for him one day. Yeah, right.... I don't think his market is ready for that.

    Too religious for me.
  • Parody song played
does anyone know where I can find the song about Obamanomics and the "nurse Cost-a-lot" played by MD on the show today?
  • Michael Delgiorno vs Herman Cain
I for one enjoyed the show that Michael Delgiorno did. I myself change the channel when ever Herman Cain is on. Please bring Michael back the next time you are not the air Neal.
  • Yikes
PLEASE don't ever make the mistake of putting them on the air again in your absence. That's the kind of ignorance that makes Republicans (like myself) look so ridiculous.
  • Bring back the BEST OF
10 minutes of this team and...well heck, they sounded great - but if I want to be preached to I'll dial in the low-end of the FM band.

Sorry Boortz folk, the WTN team didn't cut it. No complaints, just an opinion. It did give me a reason to use the CD player in the car today. Thanks for that!
  • Michael Delgiorno
Wow the guy had differing views from some listeners and fron Neal himself? God forbid... Oops! Sorry, I hope no one found that offensive!
  • Actually, Reuben.....
....I am a near-life-long GOP voter (although pretty ticked at many of them right now) and consider myself a "fiscal conservative / social libertarian". But if I wanted to hear proselytizing and quotes from Scripture, I'd tune into a religious station/show.
  • Mike Delgiorno and Gwen
These guys are great and doing a fine job filling in. As you can tell most of the negative posts are bedwetting liberals -oops- I mean progressives. Their lack of tolerance is very telling. I very much enjoyed the show with Mike and Gwen.
  • Michael Delgiorno
This guy gives talk radio a bad name. Neal, the next time you want to take a day off from bashing the rest of us for working 40-hour workweeks, let Royal Marshall host the show. He's intelligent, erudite, and interacts quite well with the callers. He should have a show at any rate - lose that dingbat Michael Savage and put Royal on the air!
  • Michael Delgiorno subbing as your host
Today, Friday March 6, 2009, for the first time in many a month I switched away from the Boortz show. I tuned in to hear a familiar voice that of Micheal Delgiorno. I live in Tulsa,Ok, and had listened to him for years, witnessing his slow spiral into evangelism.

But the prime reason I tuned out today was his violation of what I percieve as the first rule of the Neil Boortz Show. He brought up the Abortion subject. C'mon ! your listeners deserve better.

Hope to listen to you on Monday!
  • todays show
have to tell you you made 2 good points by not being on today one i always knew the other i an shocked to find out.

1.) i always knew you were the best talk show host on the air. we don't always agree on things, but that is life. you really didn't have to have this loud mouthed jerk on today to prove it.
2.) i am a firm believer in free speech and never in a million years thought i would ever hear myself saying this, but if this so called talk show host is typical of most we do need to bring back the fairness doctrine. 'cause Lord knows there are other opinions than this jerks and people need to hear them.

as you know we in dayton do not get the last hour of the show usually i am unhappy about that. today i'm glad, it will save me from running to the restroom and upchucking again.

HURRY BACK NEAL WE NEED YOU.
  • .... seriously? Delgiorno?
wow... what a bad choice. He was run out on a rail from the Tulsa market for all kinds of hypocrisy and poor choices. Read all about it in the archives section of the Tulsa World and maybe you'll understand why you might not want your show associated with Delgiorno.
  • One at at time, please!
I think either Michael or Gwen would be a good fill in for Neal, and I'd prefer a live show to a re-run (let's be honest, here, that's what it is if you're a regular listener) but having the two of them together was a mish-mash that had me turning off the radio at least ten times. (seven in the last 35 minutes.)

Besides the fact that Gwen's mike was louder than Michael's, she seemed to pipe up just when he was on a roll.

If I want that to listen to, I'll turn on The View.

I don't mind if Neal takes a day off now and again, because, like Johnny Carson in the last few years he was on, some Neal Boortz is better than a retired Neal Boortz. (At least for me.)

And your 'security code' thingy is NOT READABLE again. Thanks a pantload for that.
  • I like Michael Delgiorno
In contrast to the comments offered so far, I am enjoying Mr. Delgiorno and his assistant, Gwen. I wouldn't mind hearing more of him. I may tap into his Nashville station to hear more sometime.
  • wow
I knew this was going to be bad when he said that even as a Libertarian you should be against prop 8 because it's an attack on marriage. I'd rather listen to the best of Ludlow Porch than this guy again.
  • Neal is MIA again
Is Neal on another "secret visit" to the White House:-)
  • Point of clarification.....
Herman is ALWAYS a welcome substitute!! My "lame" comment was in reference to Mr. Delgiorno only.
  • Poor substitutes
This wasn't a good choice. Even with help, this Michael whatever isn't worth listening to. He's just a tamer version of the other Michael on WSB at night, who I also can't listen to.
  • Gotta agree with many here....
    .....this is pretty lame.
  • Michael Deliorno
    Neal,

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, next time you take a day off do a "Best Of Boortz".
This right wing, Bible beating, moon bat does not deserve to host your fine show. He is worse than any of the hacks Rush uses when he is off. Neal any listener of your show knows Rush can't carry your jock strap and this guy is not good enough to carry your used bed pan.
God forbid, but I hope an emergency kept you off the show today. I don't want to believe this jerk being on the air inplace of you was planed way in advance.
  • Another Obama basher
Just what we need another blowhard bashing the President to fill in between all the "Do Like I Do" advertising! Clark Howard is truly the only person worth listening to on WSB.
  • New Host
Good choice, Neal. Thanks for putting up the link - I'm going to see if I can get a podcast of him. Off to work...
  • "Don't Tread On Me" with Delgiorno
Thankfully, the radio is not as omniscent as The Obama. I changed stations and encourage you to never bring another sustitute host with a religious agenda to the Boortz pulpit.
  • Guest
    Neal,
Wow! Thanks for the turbo-christian host. I'll tune back in Monday.

    Jim
  • Interesting
This was the show that banned abortion talk. The man sounds like a bright guy, but hey, Im hearing what Im hearing. Interesting, we get to hear on abortion again.
  • Boortz Gone Again
What did I tell you all last week? I bet everyone that Neal couldn't go 3 straight weeks without taking at least one day off! Like I said before, he would make every smelly Frenchman envious. Yet, he has the gall to blast people who work "only 40 hour weeks".
  • Meh...
Mr.Delgiorno seems like a nice fellow...but this is a little on the boring side, so far. Take me back to the days when Royal and Belinda were just fine for a fill in show.
