The financial mess the Bush administration got us into IS the crisis and despite the incessant attempts by the Republican Right-Wingers to stop President Obama and his administrations hard work and endeavors to correct the problem, they are sticking to it.

I think the FDIC is to protect the peoples' money in case the bank goes under, Federal Deposit Insurance. That isn't to protect the bank from going under.
