What others are saying

  • And they say Bush sounded like an idiot?
Wow, he sounds as clueless as ... well, he really is!

    Teleprompter please!
  • DS - love it
Indeed, the Stewart does hit from all sides; this is brilliant stuff. Cudos to the writers.
    Truth, well stated.
  • Daily Show
I usually don't watch DS bacause it's so lopsidedly liberal...but now I may give him a chance again. The gets so boring with the same old junk about Bush, maybe it'll get a little funnier now.
  • Daily Show Obama press conference
President Obama needs a teleprompter. You can tell the difference when he doesn't have one. Then you can see his experience as a community organizing facilitator. He can take any question and turn it back to the questioner without answering while making it look like he did. Instead he uses the question to make a statement. I lost count of the "uh's" and "ah's". This was not a press conference but an ACORN meeting. Gotta love Helen Thomas' face, "What the hell is he talking about..he didn't answer my question."
  • jon stewart
this is just too sweet.i was crying sitting at my local communist coffeehouse drinking free trade coffee.the older woman sitting next to me wearing an obama shirt just gasped when it was stewart ripping him.my day just got a little brighter knowing that my country is about ready to go to hell.
  • Ye Shall Not Pick On The Chosen One
It was a grand day to ski in hell.

The Chosen One is going to find that it is one thing to be adored by the masses but eventually if you do not follow through on your promised the masses turn into a mob with torches and pitchforks.
  • That was painful
It was like watching a 8 year old Little League pitcher trying to strike out the heart of the Brave's lineup. P-BO is in way over his head.
  • It's really not shocking to people who aren't deliberately trying to make it be. TDS has always been an equal-opportunity riffing service, and the people who cry out 'bias' or try to act like it favors any one side are just typical partisan tools who view the world through their red-or-blue-tinted glasses.

If they're not explicitely riffing Obama, they're biased. If they're specifically riffing Obama, they haven't riffed him enough and they're biased. Right wingnuts won't be pleased until the show stops covering right-sided lulz and focuses only on left, and left wingnuts won't ever think they're focusing enough on right-sided lulz.

The political climate of this country has devolved into a cesspit of one-sided twits screaming at other one-sided twits over who's more persecuted.
  • Oh, NOW the left wingers think....
Jon Stewart has been making fun of Obama all along. Yeah, sure. The one time Jon Stewart ever made a joke at The Obamessiah's expense, the silence from the audience was so deafening he had to say, "It's okay to laugh at him." Stewart and the rest of his kind joked about everything around him, but not about Obama himself. They wouldn't dare. If they had treated him the same way they treated the rest of the candidates, this wouldn't be so shocking. But it is, isn't it?

All of a sudden, it's okay to joke about The One, and Leftoids never noticed the difference. Typical.
  • Dailey Show
Yes, Neal, I do believe that hell just froze over. Don't tell that to Owl Gore, though.
  • I can see how Obama got elected
I could only watch a few seconds before I realized that so many Americans actually get their news and information from this guy. Then I remembered that survey showing how Obama voters were grossly uninfromed and inept in the Constitutional arrangement of the US Federal Government. I now know that I will have to start searching for a more free place to live.
  • Yeah, that was weak
    Geez, that was weak.

The Daily Show was much better when Kilborn hosted it and it was just a silly comedy show. Not the self-important pep rally it is now.
  • Watching Obama answer questions make's Bush look like a genius. So Sad.
  • Oh, NOW the right wingers think Stewart is funny...
All the hard-core righties have been throwing fits for the last 8 years because Bush was God's gift to comedians, and they were convinced that Stewart and Colbert had it out for Bush. Bush just made himself too easy of a target. Colbert and Stewart have always hit the left when they could just as they hit the right. They are a brilliant pair, and are the true counterbalance to the biased media outlets, namely EIB, Fox, and MSNBC.
  • Too funny
BO sounds more like Ozzy than a 'genius'

    LOL......ooops...i think i leaked
  • Stewart clip
I loved this, especially the new drinking game -- fill in the gaps during his speeches.
  • That was a riot!! I love it when P-BO doesn't have a teleprompter. He's much more eloquent and the 'genius is much more apparent without one.
  • It was good to see this. I was wondering what they were going to do once Bush was out. Stewart and Colbert do have a substantial lean to the left, but they do try to make fun of both sides which gives them more comedic credibility.
  • Hell's still pretty hot
Because this isn't new. Anybody who actually watches the show and not just the clips butthurt conservobots post of their favorite idol being smacked around knows that the show mocks both sides of the aisle on a frequent basis. It frequently made fun of the media's handling of the Obama campaign and the conduct of all involved candidates -- see the "Common Man-Off" between Biden and Palin in the VP debates -- as it has always done.

Of course, butthurt conservobots cry "liberal bias" against anything that doesn't agree with them 100% of the time, and conveniently ignore the parts that make fun of the left as well.
