I just hope I can remember most of them......

  • Israel fighting back against Hamas ... and the world's reaction.
  • That idiot attorney who used to represent the PLO and her insane observations on the Middle East situation.
  • What is in store for our country with leaders elected by the less-educated and poorly informed?
  • Al Franken will probably be named the winner of that Senatorial race in Minnesota. How many of you really doubt that there was some funny business in the counting of the ballots. Franken, by the way, is a jerk.
  • Obama is dead set against the idea of school choice ... for you. Today his spawn start school at an exclusive private institution in Washington DC. Choice for the Obamas. No choice for you.

What others are saying

  • We don't want no stinkin' vouchers!
Our 2 children attend 2 different private schools. They are currently in 4th grade and 9th grade. Neither of them has seen the inside of a public school, and God willing, they never will. We are lower-to-mid middle class, my wife works full time and I run a very small business. We choose to invest our money in our children’s futures instead of buying new cars, homes, taking big vacations, etc. We are sick of hearing all the whining about vouchers. Look, if we get vouchers you can be assured they will come with strings attached, allowing for some of that ever-popular "government oversight". No thanks! Private schools may be easier to afford for the wealthy, but are still very affordable for those who choose to make education a high priority. We pay to have more religion and academics with less oversight and bureaucracy. Let’s keep it that way! Vouchers will only result in the eventual “dumbing down” of our private schools.
  • School choice
    To alabamastan-
Vouchers would only IMPROVE public schools because it would FORCE them to be better. Competition only makes for a better product for the consumer. The supplieer that will not improve willl go out of business.
  • Missing the point...
The BO being hypocritical on schools is based on him being against the use of vouchers and such so we can choose which school to send our rug rats. According to BO you either put up with the crappy school in your neighborhood or shell out major bucks to go to a private school. We went with the crappy local, but watched over every piece of homework, went to the school, had several meetings with teachers to demand better behaviour on their part. Because of that, our son actually received a pretty good government education. He's in the 1500 club. But it wasn't thanks to the teachers union!!! Unfortunately, most parents won't go that extra mile.
  • constitution...
Im still struggling to find where it says in the U.S constitution that American tax payers need to keep the entire nation of Israel on welfare. Also why is America asking Iran and Syria to stop supporting militarism when America is not will to do so itself?
  • spelling
Golly Fred, you sure put me in my place. So as not to offend your delicate sensibilities: Errata: "essence", "Destruction, "Argument."

    Feel better now?

And as for the crack about being a product of the public schools, yes, I am, and that would include my post-graduate degree as well, thanks for asking.

You can call the Obamas hypocrites all you want, I still say from a security standpoint it would be impractical to impossible for their kids to attend a public school. I believe the last time it was tried was with Amy Carter and they finally had to put her into private school for that very reason.
  • BO School Choice
    Poor kids of BO.

If they go to public school they would be exposed to much more crime and corruption than a public school I'll bet.

I had some stats, but can't locate them at the moment but I will later.

Now they get to see more about how the white peoples live! Oh wait, they already seen that on their all expense paid trip to Hawaii.
  • School Choice
Alabamastan wrote: "If you support the dismantling of and ultimate distruction of public schools, come out and say it."

I support the dismantling and ultimate destruction of goverenment schools.

And by your spelling we can see that you are a product of government schools.

There is no hypocrisy in Neal's opinion. The problem is not whether or not one can pay for private schools; the problem is that the politicians who denounce a school choice system claim the government run system is just as good and then send their own children to private schools. This is not just the Obamas, they hypocrisy is surely not limited to them.
  • Israel
'Cuse me, but I'm majorly p.o.'ed. Why is it that Hamas can lob all the bombs over to Israel that they want, but when Israel stands up to defend itself, then it's "disproportionate"? I hope they turn the place into a parking lot! Go Israel!!
  • Israel
Kick butt Israel! You have every right to protect yourselves. Tell anybody not on your side to take a hike and top the list with the UN!
  • School Choice
    Hey Alabamastan,

Since the current government school system is putting out a garbage product maybe it's time to dismantle it and create something better ie "school choice"

That won't happen since the teachers union and any other union "own" the big BO.

It's a shame that the same money spent on some gubbament schools you CAN get a private education. But the excess has to be spent on social leaches.
  • middle east situation...
Maybe you can talk on the radio about Gertrude Bell, the formation of what is called the middle east, the ethnic tensions between the people of the middle east and how many middle easterners did not appreciate colonial intervention under the British after WWI, so that we get a full picture of what's going on over there. Also maybe you can remind Americans of what the Founding Fathers did as a reaction to unwanted British colonial intervention.
  • School Choice
For a man that preaches that every American deserves the spoils of his own labor you sure don't seem to want that for the Obama's.

We can talk about how Obama got his money, but the fact is... it's HIS money to spend. Feel free to be intellectually honest and consistent in your position, Boortz.

Obama opposes school choice with taxpayer dollars because one of his biggest supporters is the teacher's unions - no mystery there.
  • Franken
    Stolen election
Apparently Al Franken manged to do what AlGore failed to do in 2000. Congrats, Stewart Smallie!

    ++++++++++++++++++++

    You're kidding, right?
  • Stolen election
Apparently Al Franken manged to do what AlGore failed to do in 2000. Congrats, Stewart Smallie!
  • Hypocrite
BO is a hypocrite about everything. Not just school choice. He ran on helping out the middle class, yet spends millions on a stupid vacation to Hawaii. How dumb does he think we are??
  • Franken
I personally think he will fit on with all the other Democratic misfits. Let him win so he can show how positively ignorant he is.
  • school choice
A private school is just that--private. They would have greater control over press, paparazzi, the curious.

School Choice is nothing more than the abandonment of public schools and a backdoor attempt to dismantle the system. Pulling tax money away from the public school system to provide vouchers to send kids to private school will certainly do nothing for the public schools. If you support the dismantling of and ultimate distruction of public schools, come out and say it.
  • Schools
I've never heard Obama say anything about wanting to prevent people from sending their kids to private schools.

He's paying his taxes toward public schools while not getting the benefit. He doesn't have a problem with anyone else doing the same. How is that hypocritical?
  • Israel Forever
Israel didnt steal anything. Read American law, conquerers always win the property battle. If palestine wants to be treated like a country, then they should act like one. Instead of relying on Israel for medical services, electrical, water, and everything else, maybe palestine should spend money on those services instead of bombs.

So Israel is bad, then I guess so is Australia, Canada, USA, and Europe for also not talking to a terrorist organization.

Israel is stealing land is the same as USA is stealing land from Mexico, France, and England.

If palestine wants to be a country, then they should start acting like one
  • Obama's Spawn
Watch out, Neal. You can't say things about The Chosen One lest you be considered racist.

Obama won the backing of the disgusting teacher's unions but it's obvious he thinks they can't do their jobs. I wonder how many of them are smart enough to see that?

I believe it is completely hypocritical of him to talk about how "wonderful" our public education system is...and then send his kids to a school that has a tuition bill about the same as an Ivy League college.

Way to get down with those little commoner people who elected ya, Obama!

BTW...kill income taxes. I'm sick of paying for the losers who sit at home and eat ho-hos while I get up and go to work. FAIR TAX! NOW!
  • School Choice
Interesting comment. So having the Obama's kids at a private school isn't distracting to the kids there?

The point was Obama strongly opposes letting parents use their tax dollars to direct their kids to a better education system than the public school offers. Yes, he has the money to pay for a private education, but isn't that rather elitist and hypocritical that his kids go but he opposes others (the commoners) doing the same and helping them achieve what he is able to? Seems to me that a school choice program would be the ultimate affirmative action program.
  • School Choice
Ditto Hugo's Ghost. Neal uses the argument that we all have (or should have)the same choices if we have the money to pay for it. That's the essense of his definition of Capitalism.

And as a matter of practicality, can you imagine the distractions to the class and school if the Obama kids attended a public school?

Neal, your argumants weren't always this transparent.
  • Hammas
Israel wouldn't be in their situation if they didn't steal Arab land. Israel's "settlers" (land thieves) caused all this.
Why do we support Israel anyway? They do nothing for us and we give them 2.4 billion dollars every year in "aid".
  • School
You say: "Obama is dead set against the idea of school choice ... for you. Today his spawn start school at an exclusive private institution in Washington DC. Choice for the Obamas. No choice for you."

Are you really that stupid? Seriously-did you ride the short bus to school? Anybody in this country can CHOOSE to send their children to a private school-as long as they are willing to pay for it.

    You are pitiful, sir.
