THE BOORTZ CAVEAT

While listening to The Neal Boortz show or reading Nealz Nuze there is a strong likelihood that you will hear or read material that is critical of Barack Obama or the liberal agenda.  In keeping with the dictates of political correctness it is hereby acknowledged that any critical comments by Neal Boortz, a white guy, of Barack Obama, a black guy; or any comments critical of the Democrat agenda, is, by default, hate speech.

Within the first three months of the budget year, the federal government has already run up a record deficit of $485.2 billion. Your grandkids will thank you one day.

It's not really a matter of if the Democrats raise taxes, it is when. At least, that is the mentality of a liberal. There is no other way to stimulate the economy or other tax plan that would give the money and power back to the people.

Union leaders are working on revamping their strategy to ensure that the Democrats pass their card check bill.

Roland Burris will officially be seated in the Senate tomorrow. Glad to see the Democrats finally came around.

Some great news .. yesterday on the show you heard me talking about Barney Frank's brilliant idea to ban all corporations receiving bailout money from owning or leasing private jets. Well, Barney has now stripped the ban from the bailout bill.

The University of Colorado is planning to bring a "professor of conservative thought" to campus.

Barack Obama's inauguration is going to be a Lincoln-themed inauguration .. right down to the food served.

The other day we told you about how Bernie Sanders had his boxers in a bunch over George Bush's plaque in the Smithsonian .. well it looks like Bernie got his way.

As the mayor, when you city is running a $36 billion deficit, it may not be a wise idea to purchase yourself a brand new $30,000 Hummer on the taxpayers dime.

Barack Obama's inauguration is going to air in movie theaters across the country.

The father of the year award goes to a California man who tried to sell his 14-year-old daughter into marriage for beer.

A cat has been banned from a post office in Alabama because "he doesn't pay federal taxes."

Our current secretary of labor says that our workers deserve a secret ballot. Too bad she is only in office for a few more days.

Hillary Clinton wants to use her position as Secretary of State to fight ... climate change because "it could well incite new wars of an old kind over basic resources."

What others are saying

  • Cat Not Permitted in Post Office / Budget Deficit
Right now I serve the U.S. Army in the most feared Division in the world. 82nd Airborne Division. Every time I go to Iraq or Afghanistan I don't have taxes taken out of my pay. Kind of a 12 to 15 month tax holiday. So does this mean that I am not permitted to enter a post office while on a "deployed" status?

And this deficit. Most of the politicians working in Washington are paid somewhere over the six figure mark. How about they start by taking some of this money to pay the decicit down. I know that if I were to overspend on something in my profession it would come out of my pay check. And before somebody starts about the military "tax holiday" I mentioned. Even with that we don't make over $50,000 depending on rank.
  • inauguration
also...Abe must be rolling in his grave right now. Sheer blasphemy.
  • Lincoln Themed? Style over Substance
    "Brace of American Birds..."

Pheasants were introduced to North America from China in 1857. Once again Obama and his myrmidions show themselves to be empty suits.
  • At least it's climate change
At least Clinton is fighting "Climate change" and not global warming.

    Climate change is true.
    Global warming is not true.
  • Nobama Inauguration
What a friggin dog and pony show. It's great that it will be themed with one of the greatest men in our histories past in mind. But by OBAMA? Did you catch that part about the plaque behind him about 'FREEDOM'? Obama, the NEWEST liberal in the white house that wants to take more 'FREEDOM' away from you and I! And , oh, I'm sure that the guests at Lincolns inauguration 'washed it all down' with selected California wines as well..... what a slap in the face, AMERICA! This is just the beginning. I said it before, just wait and see.
  • University of Colorado is planning to bring a "professor of conservative thought" to campus
Really? So when this token conservative gets there, will he/she qualify for minority status?
  • Oh Hillary, Hillary, Hillary
"It could well incite new wars of an old kind over basic resources."'

Right... because overpopulation is not going to cause this problem in the near future as well.
  • No cats in the post office
Someone get the PO box number. I want to send the cat a toy!
  • No cats in the post office
Seems that other people think the same way I do. I just have to wonder where all the welfare recipients are going to get their food stamps and handout checks now if they can't go into the post office.

If you pay federal taxes you can enter the post office. If you don't pay federal taxes you can't go in the post office. What happens if the government actually gives you money that you didn't even pay in the first place? Does that then mean that you're also not allowed to have a mailbox at your house?
  • Neal Boortz Listeners
I came here to post a comment about the cat, that half of Americans shouldn't be allowed in the Post Office because they don't pay taxes either. But when I got here, I discovered two other people had already posted the same thing. So Neal Boortz's message is getting out, and people are paying attention - and learning.

What I do recommend is that Neal and other talk show hosts give their listeners a call to action, specific steps we can take as a (very large) group that will actually make a difference in this country.

Just hearing about the probems isn't enough, we need to know what to do, but if we think we're the only ones doing it, we won't act. We have to know we're part of something bigger, then things will get done.

For example, the government school administrator who tried to ban Christmas. Neal posted the story, and he posted the guy's e-mail address. The very next day Christmas was back, with the administrator now saying it was all a "misunderstanding."

Let's use that power on a broader scale.
  • Indiana has a $36 Billion Deficit?
What I read was a $36 Million deficit which has nothing on these States:
    http://symbionews.com/thetakeaway/state-deficits-2009.html

Though, there's absolutely no reason for a State official to have a Hummer as their "political vehical." Especially not an H3. 30k isn't that much to spend on a new vehical anyway. I don't see the outrage in this with the exception of the choice of model which is subjective.

    Keeping it in perspective!
  • Cat banned from Post Office
My question about the cat banned from the Post Office:
If it is required to pay federal taxes before you can enter a Post Office, then what about the 40% of americans whom don't pay taxes? They're allowed to enter post offices aren't they? I'll bet this resident who complained is probably one of them.
  • $30k on a hummer? So?
The guy's constituents should be glad they only had to pay for a $30k car. Usually city vehicles for the top people are ~$50k. People at the bottom drive the city pick ups, cheaper 4-door taurus, etc. If they want to be angry over that, then they should vote to get rid of city owned vehicles, non-emergency/maintenance related of course.
  • With Regards to the Hummer Comment...
Oh brother. What a dumb article. Neal - did you read the article before linking to it? Notice that he bought an H2 for under $30K. This is not unusual or extravagant for a mayor of a major city. Note that the article even states that he's paying for his own gas.

Mayors don't typically travel alone, and comfort and the ability to drive staff members is essential. Considering that a Toyota Hybrid can easily cost over $30K, I think the mayor did well - and bought American.
  • Banned cat
Does anyone not know that the USPS isn't funded by tax dollars? They're still run by Congress (more proof that the government can't do much right) and it's still a Federal crime to tamper with the mail, but the USPS stopped getting tax revenue around 1972.
BTW, using the postal worker's logic, almost half of the US population shouldn't be allowed in the post office. They don't pay taxes either.
