Stossel has this one dead right. When it comes to Ponzi schemes, Bernie Madoff is a rank amateur.

So funny guy Al Franken wasn't seated yesterday. Norm Coleman is suing to challenge the recount results.

Obama says that he is "concerned" about the situation in Gaza. He is going to be a lot more than "concerned" in just about a week. In the meantime, we'll just be glad he's concerned. So am I. About him.

According to Obama, trillion dollar deficits will last for years. Well duh .. the people of this country have done a great job of ensuring the growth of government. The media will treat these deficits as OK until there's a Republican in the White House.

You'll hear me talking about this column today, and you will want to know where you can get your own copy. Walter Williams on the power of the rich. Just do your little clicky thing right here.

Ann Coulter was on the show yesterday. Brent Bozell III has this take on Coulter vs. the Counter-Coulters

Speaking of Ann Coulter .. here she is with "Teaching Democrats New Tricks."

Dick Morris echoes what I have been saying .. some of Obama's "tax cuts" are really welfare checks. Brilliant minds think alike.

Obama probably won't read this .. so you can. Tony Blankley on "Being President 101."

When it comes to Obama's stimulus package, he pledges that there won't be any earmarks included. Yeah ... let's see how that works out.

How will Obama handle countries like Venezuela? Some say that Hugo Chavez will be Obama's first "test" in international negotiations.

For all you wealth-envy types .. here's something for you to celebrate: American millionaires have seen their assets shrink by 30%.

Any guesses as to how much it costs the government to spend $350 billion?

Did you know that gas is actually cheaper now than it was when Bush took office? So much for those bumper stickers .. "When Bush took office, gas was $1.46." Not that the president really has any say in the price of gas.

If you haven't been keeping up with the antics of Vladimir Putin .. Russia has cut off gas supplies to many European nations because it is angry with Ukraine (and European pipelines run through Ukraine).

Here's a way for you to get to know the newest members of the House and the Senate.

Residents in Indianapolis are upset because their local paper The Indianapolis Star has decided to drop its daily prayer. This, by the way, is coming soon to your own local newspaper. I'm not happy about it .. .but newspapers are doomed.

Just what we need .. our taxpayer money funding cops who chase ghosts. Yep, ghosts.

In traffic court for speeding? Here's a way to ensure that you never speed again ... a message from the judge.

What others are saying

  • @ Will Clinton
you have shown yourself to be a bed-wetting liberal who is arrogant and condescending and will pursue relentlessly the goal of destroying the legacy and truth of the Reagan presidency. The facts prove for themselves.

    - # of poor blacks between 1978 and 1982: more than 200 milllion rise. # of poor blacks between 1982 and 1989: fell by 400,000
    - The 1980's was a decade of greatly increased personal and corporate charitable giving

While you right that the deficit rose, you cannot blame it on Reagan. After all, who controlled Congress during that time? It was the Democratic Party, who pronounced every one of Reagan's budgets, where he did his damnedest to reduce spending, "Dead On Arrval." In fact, when Reagan took office in 1981, the top marginal tax rate was 70% and when he left in 1989 it was at 28%. Quit ridiculing the man whose presidency, coupled with the longest sustained economic boom in American History AS WELL AS 59 STRAIGHT months of peacetime and prosperity at home, contradicts and frustrates all liberal gobbledygook.
  • Stimulus pkg
Obama's stimulus package is one big "earmark". And it ain't gonnna stimulate jack. Just bankrupt our country further. Massive immediate temporary tax cuts in all areas is the answer. No Fed taxes of any sort for at least a year.
  • Not exactly taxpayer-funded
"The network has greenlit a new unscripted series called "Paranormal Cops," about a group of Chicago police officers who moonlight as ghost chasers in their spare time."

With emphasis on "moonlight...IN THEIR SPARE TIME".

Come on Neal, please, *please* take the stick out of your rear, and stop trying to scream just as loud as all the other major radio hosts. Come back down to earth, where you used to reside, and start being sensible again instead of crying about everything you can possibly imagine.

You might also try reading the material you're citing.
  • Re: Anonymous
"Actually, you are wrong as under Reagan we had the best financial times with Raganomics. The 1980's were NOT a decade of Greed as you liberal myrmidons claim."

You've shown you haven't looked up your facts. Federal deficits SKYROCKETED under eight years of Ronald Reagan, from 35% of GDP in 1981 to 65% of GDP in 1989.

In dollar terms, they skyrocketd from $80 billion deficits in 1981, gradually increasing every year to $290 billion in 1989. "Best financial times" indeed.
  • Hey--little man
Hey little man--if you gave took the money away from 3 millionaires, and gave it to 3 poor guys, in 5 years time, it would be reversed. The millionaires would be millionaires again, and the poor guys would be poor again. The difference between rich and poor is attitude. How many times do you hear of folks winning big in the lotto, only to be out on their ass after the money is spent...see, all attitude.
  • Haha, Dick Morris
That guy is constantly wrong. "Brilliant minds" indeed.
  • @ Will Clinton

"According to Obama, trillion dollar deficits will last for years. Well duh .. the people of this country have done a great job of ensuring the growth of government. The media will treat these deficits as OK until there's a Republican in the White House."

I'm not sure where you're getting this supposed media disparity from. Under Reagan, Bush 41, and Bush 43, deficits skyrocketed, while under Carter they were steady and under Clinton they rapidly shrunk.

It doesn't look like this winning streak for Democrats is going to continue for Obama, though."

Actually, you are wrong as under Reagan we had the best financial times with Raganomics. The 1980's were NOT a decade of Greed as you liberal myrmidons claim.
  • Obama
The greatest part about the election of Barack Obama is that there is now one political party in Washington that speaks out against spending. There hasn't been one for the last eight years.
  • Blankley, Bozell, and Coulter
Those three have it nailed on the Liberals, and I know what Blankley said is something that Obama or any Liberal runing for the Presidency will not read because they are apot on.
  • Millionaires losing money
The average millionaire lost 30% of his/her net worth? Big deal! The markets lost about 40% of their value between Jan 1 2008 and Dec 31 2008.

IMHO, this says 1 of 2 things. Either the average millionaire lied, cheated, and stole to beat the market by 10%.
    ...OR...
The average millionaire actually saw 40% losses, but because they continued to fund their personal retirement accounts and other savings and investments they ended up with only a 30% drop in net worth.

Is it just me or do the rich keep doing what made them rich, and the poor keep doing what made them poor?
  • Defecits
"According to Obama, trillion dollar deficits will last for years. Well duh .. the people of this country have done a great job of ensuring the growth of government. The media will treat these deficits as OK until there's a Republican in the White House."

It doesn't look like this winning streak for Democrats is going to continue for Obama, though.
  • PEBO's "Stimulus Package" is one big Earmark
"When it comes to Obama's stimulus package, he pledges that there won't be any earmarks included."

That's because it is all one BIG earmark. This is what we get for the next four years... rename things that no rational person would like to things that rational people find popular. Hence, "earmarks" become "stimulus", and "wealth redistribution" becomes "tax cuts, just not for you if you actually pay taxes."
  • Ghost-chasing cops
Where does it say in that article that the taxpayers are funding the ghost-chasing? They are doing it in their spare time. That changes your outrage a little, doesn't it?
  • Ghost chasing cops
I don't see where any of that is funded by tax payers. They do it on their free time for a cable network.
  • Taxes
Funny how all these conservative critics of Obama's "tax cuts", like Morris, were thunderously silent when Bush did the same thing.
