THE BOORTZ CAVEAT

While listening to The Neal Boortz show or reading Nealz Nuze there is a strong likelihood that you will hear or read material that is critical of Barack Obama or the liberal agenda.  In keeping with the dictates of political correctness it is hereby acknowledged that any critical comments by Neal Boortz, a white guy, of Barack Obama, a black guy; or any comments critical of the Democrat agenda, is, by default, hate speech.

I love this .. some Democrats are starting to backtrack on their support of the card check bill, realizing that it is, in fact, difficult to defend it. Not to mention just completely asinine. These clowns supported the bill when they knew it would be vetoed ... but now that it might actually become law, their support weakens.

Academics are now warning that terrorist could use tactics like insect swarms to launch biological attacks. I would prefer an insect swarm to a swarm of misbehaved toddlers.

According to Israeli news, more than 70,000 Iranian student volunteers have registered to carry out suicide bombings against Israel because of Israel's assault on the Gaza Strip. Let's arrange a practice run for all of them.

Obama will be the first to host a "Neighborhood Inaugural Ball." Spare me. If he's going to include that neighborhood around the White House he had better have metal detectors.

Guess who is looking to expand to the US market? European auto makers that are excited about the prospect of nonunion labor. Not if the Democrats get their way, though.

Yesterday Jamie Dupree and I were talking about how the President has to pay for any meals cooked by White House chef. Here are some other little goodies about the ins and outs of the White House.

This is classic government .. law enforcement in Newark, NJ is enforcing a ban on barbed wire in order to "prevent passers-by or anyone climbing the fence from being injured by the barbed wire." You gotta be hiding me. Barbed wire serves many purposes ... including warning potential renters or homebuyers that you don't want to live in that neighborhood.

An Indian airline is having issues with hostesses (those are flight attendants) who have been fired for being lardasses. Hey ... it costs money to haul all that blubber around the world.

Speaking of lardasses, Americans are becoming so overweight that the Army has had to devise a waiver program for overweight people to join.

We've heard versions of this story before, but it never ceases to amaze me .. a kiddie pool may have to be drained because it is not manned by a fully qualified lifeguard.

A city council in Great Britain is going to spend about $15,000 on pigeon awareness day. Makes you proud to be a taxpayer, doesn't it?

Ever heard of a "double ended male adapter"? Apparently they are "immoral" according to Ace Hardware. Sooner or later someone is going to start a movement to have terms like "male end" and "female end" banned from our lexicon.

Here's the fun website about words we talked about on the show today.

Jamie Dupree is covering the rumble over the Illinois and Minnesota Senate seats in his blog and on the show in the information overload hour.

What others are saying

  • Double Ended MAle Adapeters....
Some people ARE obviously missing the joke here. However given the other comments I will say if you have enough money to buy a generator, you have enough money to put the right switches in your breaker-box to make it safe so you can't run power beyond your house. You really REALLY don't want to run power backwards through your power lines and fry someone who thinks the lines are dead.
  • might want to read word warriors threw
    check the definition of "erudite"...
  • Neighborhood Inaugural Ball
The inauguration of a person into the office of the President of the United States is meant to be a stately and dignified event, a not damn block party!! This idea is so GHETTOFABULOUS (yeah I said it, SO WHAT), it's not even funny! Boy, I'm really getting to HATE this guy.
  • Only Illegal in Alabama
I thought these were only illegal in Alabama.
  • Double Ended Male Adapters ARE dangerous!
The common use of a double ended male adapted is to power a dead circuit by allowing power to be routed from a live circuit to a dead circuit via an entension cord and the adapter. This is extrememly dangerous to whomever comes along and tries to repair the "dead" circuit. The breaker is off, but the power is on. This lethal situation may also result in fires or 220 volt overloads. So it IS immoral, in the sense that is is disrespectul to saftey and life.
  • Double end adapters
When the tornado knocks out power in your neighborhood you will need this type of adaptor to plug your generator into your house wiring. (after you pull the main switch at the fuse box) They have a legitimate purpose.
  • Army weight waver? Why not?
Not all people in the army are in the infantry, Neal. There are IT workers, researchers, doctors, etc, none of which will ever see any combat situation. So why reduce the quality of the workforce by discriminating against the chubby?
  • Everyone knows...
that just like global warming, "obesity" hasn't actually increased any since '98, right? So the army's waivers has nothing to do with changing demographics, but most likely a response to lower recruitment.
  • Gay adapters!
The Double-Ended Male Adaptors (DEMAs?) are HYSTERICAL. I hope Neal sees the tongue-in-cheek motivation behind the note - not politically correct, just creative! This is why I never want a job where I have to deal with the public!
  • Neighborhood Inaugural Ball
Actually the first was by Andrew Jackson - and that didn't turn out so well http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrew_jackson

    Probably why they stopped.
  • Nobody can take a joke anymore.
Double ended male adapters... they are illegal and stupid; the sign said as much. Then the guy making the sign made a joke, and now he's going to fired or forced into "sensitivity" training.

That's the real joke... it's on us.
  • Double ended male adapter
Come on, you guys have less of a sense of humor than the "turbos" if you don't think the author of that sign had his tongue firmly planted in his cheek when he wrote "and possibly immoral"
  • Double Ended Male Adapter
This is just a shortcut to securing a spot on this year's Darwin Awards.
