I love this .. some Democrats are starting to backtrack on their support of the card check bill, realizing that it is, in fact, difficult to defend it. Not to mention just completely asinine. These clowns supported the bill when they knew it would be vetoed ... but now that it might actually become law, their support weakens.
Academics are now warning that terrorist could use tactics like insect swarms to launch biological attacks. I would prefer an insect swarm to a swarm of misbehaved toddlers.
According to Israeli news, more than 70,000 Iranian student volunteers have registered to carry out suicide bombings against Israel because of Israel's assault on the Gaza Strip. Let's arrange a practice run for all of them.
Obama will be the first to host a "Neighborhood Inaugural Ball." Spare me. If he's going to include that neighborhood around the White House he had better have metal detectors.
Guess who is looking to expand to the US market? European auto makers that are excited about the prospect of nonunion labor. Not if the Democrats get their way, though.
Yesterday Jamie Dupree and I were talking about how the President has to pay for any meals cooked by White House chef. Here are some other little goodies about the ins and outs of the White House.
This is classic government .. law enforcement in Newark, NJ is enforcing a ban on barbed wire in order to "prevent passers-by or anyone climbing the fence from being injured by the barbed wire." You gotta be hiding me. Barbed wire serves many purposes ... including warning potential renters or homebuyers that you don't want to live in that neighborhood.
An Indian airline is having issues with hostesses (those are flight attendants) who have been fired for being lardasses. Hey ... it costs money to haul all that blubber around the world.
Speaking of lardasses, Americans are becoming so overweight that the Army has had to devise a waiver program for overweight people to join.
We've heard versions of this story before, but it never ceases to amaze me .. a kiddie pool may have to be drained because it is not manned by a fully qualified lifeguard.
A city council in Great Britain is going to spend about $15,000 on pigeon awareness day. Makes you proud to be a taxpayer, doesn't it?
Ever heard of a "double ended male adapter"? Apparently they are "immoral" according to Ace Hardware. Sooner or later someone is going to start a movement to have terms like "male end" and "female end" banned from our lexicon.
Here's the fun website about words we talked about on the show today.
Jamie Dupree is covering the rumble over the Illinois and Minnesota Senate seats in his blog and on the show in the information overload hour.
