THE BOORTZ CAVEAT

While listening to The Neal Boortz show or reading Nealz Nuze there is a strong likelihood that you will hear or read material that is critical of Barack Obama or the liberal agenda.  In keeping with the dictates of political correctness it is hereby acknowledged that any critical comments by Neal Boortz, a white guy, of Barack Obama, a black guy; or any comments critical of the Democrat agenda, is, by default, hate speech.

For Barack Obama, that is - but perhaps not necessarily for America.

I don't know many people who are thrilled with Obama's pick of Leon Panetta to head the CIA. The guy has less experience working in intelligence than our own Washington correspondent Jamie Dupree. Of course I strongly suspect that Dupree is actually working under cover as a journalist. You should see the armament he carries. Anyway ......

One of the first to really speak up was Dianne Feinstein. She got her feelings hurt that Obama didn't consult her before making the selection. Well, she's right. You do talk to the Chairman of the Senate Intelligence Committee about your pick to head the CIA .. but that was quickly corrected with some obsequious fawning by Obama and Biden.

Other thoughts on Panetta run the gamut. Dick Morris thinks he's being sent to Langley to effectively emasculate our premier spy agency. The destruction of the CIA began under Jimmy Carter. Will it become a fait accompli under Obama? There is much liberal angst over this phony torture controversy. Is Panetta the payoff to the left?

Others are saying that Panetta's experiences in the Congress and the Clinton White House qualify him for this position. After all, as the president's Chief of Staff he was a "consumer" of intelligence information. By that reasoning, since I bought a new GM vehicle a few weeks ago I'm now qualified to run GM. Than again, who isn't?

    I started out determined to give Obama the benefit of doubt and had even been pleasantly surprised with the people he'd picked so far but this Panetta pick to run the CIA is so bad and damaging for our country it wipes out all others. This is the true Obama, who hates America so bad he will start dismantling our intelligence capabilities as soon as he's in office. Hamas is celebrating this pick.

    The goal of liberals in this country is to undermine the hegemony of the U.S. in world affairs - weaken it so much that the U.S. must bow to the dictates of foreign socialists and communists. I believe that the likes of Obama and his cohorts want to purposely to weaken the U.S. so that it must change its core principles. It started with Clinton and the transfer of technology to the Chinese and N. Koreans. Mark my words....

    Okay, so, I voted for The Other Guy. Not because I liked him, but more because I knew that The One didn't have the experience necessary to lead as president.

    When he won the election, I consoled myself with the thought that, perhaps, because he was so inexperienced, he might bring on real subject matter experts to fill in for his short comings.

    Then he chose Hillary Clinton for SecState.

    And now Leon Panetta for Director of CIA?

    Certainly, Langley needs someone with decent management experience. But they need someone with *intelligence management* experience. There are more assets on the books than simply money and, as a "consumer", has no clue how to manage them.

    Worse, he's an outsider. In a community where the motto is "Trust But Verify," that's going to be yet another problem for the Administration.

    Why else would his administration be so riddled with clintonistas? I wouldn't be surprised if she's VP on the '12 ticket, setting up up for '16. This will be very entertaining, in a sick way. I bet the WH soap opera will be back in town as well, smothered in cheese.

    As you opened the door to the mention of Jaimie Dupree, do you have any doubt that he is at best a "fence straddler" and most often, so obviusly as left and liberal a thinker when expressing his takes on your comments and views during your segment with him as anyone could be. I pick up on this so I'm sure others do. I'm sorry, but the way I view people who stand "in the middle of the road" all the time is that they most likely will be smooshed out by the very next passing car or truck.

    I find myself in agreement with Bill on this one. The CIA is a bureaucratic, multicultural, politically correct, worse than useless hole in the ground that sucks up tax payer dollars. Leon couldn't make it worse. Emasculation is too good for it.

    Panetta was selected as part of the Clinton secretary of state appointment. Panetta main purpose will not be to improve of hurt the CIA. His main purpose will be to purge any documents and or evidence that can in the future damage the Clintons.

    Hey, with a President whose resume' highlight is that of being a "community organizer", why is anyone in Washington concerned about Leon's light resume' for being PEBO's choice of CIA Director? Seems that this nomination is right in line with what's going on in our nation's capital. Political dummies are in charge and damned if the American people didn't vote them in. No wonder we are in trouble. The death of American will likely be from a cancer within. Its called the Liberal/Democrat syndrome.
