BIN LADEN IS USELESS

So we have yet to capture Osama bin Laden. Nancy Pelosi and her liberal compadres will tell you that this is one of the great failings of the Bush administration. Well even if Bush didn't catch him, his administration did do something ... they made the guy obsolete. He doesn't matter. He is just another turban hiding somewhere in the mountains of Pakistan. This isn't just me blowing smoke, folks. This is coming from a senior US counterterrorism official. He says that "Al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and his second-in-command have been rendered ineffective by international anti-terrorist efforts."

But don't worry. If he is caught under the Obama administration, he will have full access to the US court system. Yep, remember when he pledged that during the campaign? I wonder if that will be another one of those promises he can't keep once he realizes the realities of the situation.

What others are saying

  • Bin laden is captured
If anyone out there thinks this towel jockey is still running around they are dead wrong. Bin laden will be publicly captured within the first year of Obama's term publicly.(and f.y.i. Saddam wasn't found hiding in some hole we "accidently" stumbled over). For America to believe that the most advanced, awesome, capable militant force on the planet is not capable of finding someone of his stature is completly absurd. He's been in our custody for quite sometime now and Bush will hand him over to Obama when the time is right. Unfortunatley for president Bush he didn't have a chance in office to show what a great man he can be. The deck was stacked against him from day one, but with the exception of the length of time in Iraq his mistakes are few and far between. Mark my words Bin Laden is in custody. Obama will get the credit. The common man will go about life not realizing the actual truths of our government and the things we're better off not knowing.
  • Bin Laden
As a former Soldier and Iraq war vet, I still want to see that SOB's head on a platter.
  • Bin Laden alive?
OBL has been buried in a cave for years. His remains will never be found or identified.
  • bobmgn@verizon.net
Think about this: Whose been squatting over a five gallon bucket down wind in a dark cave for the last eight years, Bush or OBL? Most likely OBL has been dead for years and ain't been squatting anywhere.
  • Bin Laden - Capture him?
One needs to ask 'Does the US Really want to capture OBL'? What would be the aftermath of his capture? Would we put him on trial, convict him and then sentence him to death? Alive and in hiding, OBL is just a terrorist in hiding. Captured and on trial and then sentenced to death he would be a martyr and rallying point. His capture would undoubtedly make many feel good, but it would do more longterm harm than good. Neutralize has more than one meaning in covert operations. He has been largely neutralized either dead or in hiding. Caught and he will be on the cover of TIME and NEWSWEEK and probably people. You think the two OJ trials were massive media events. Imagine what the trial of OBL would be and the scale of the protests in the middle east. Keep him in hiding or kill him quietly. Don't capture him. Bush knew this.
  • Paul turn the CNN/FOX off turn the brain on....
Time to wise up and hit the books man. You simply sound like a leftist mainstream media record on repeat. Just because TV says so doesn't mean you have to stop exploring history and actual fact. It is in fact time for you, yourself to grow a pair and gain the actual courage in yourself to acknowledge what is going on. 'Blowback' look it up.

I've been exploring the causes of the middle east mess that extend beyond 8 years...try reading about the middle east in 1918. Like I said you yourself probably would have a bad reaction to outsiders trying to colonize you, yet you expect others to love it. It just shows your stupidity.Wake it up!

So you're OSama's message has not gotten out to any other isalmo-fascist muslims in the world? Currently islamic fascists are not targeting American/Western interests in other countries? The Mumbai bombing didn't happen? Amazing. Osama's message combined with American scapgoatism and presence/intervention in the middle east is indeed helping solidify/fuel musilm extremism and bankrupting America. Maybe you should try putting America first.

Interestingly enough America's radical militarism and attempts to police the world are also QUITE OUTSIDE of the original constitutional intention of the Federal Govt. And yes the nonsensical military adeveturism and keeping entire countries on welfare is going to bankrupt America...just connect the dots bud.

Why so anti-American(a draft?)? Why do you want to see America crumble?...where do you get the cash for your kind of military adventurism if you are 10 trillion in debt? Where in the constitution does it allow the federal govt to keep entire countries on welfare and police the planet?

Bush did a terrible job, there's just no 2 ways about that, and he turned out to be a socialist to boot. Maybe one day you'll come out of the neo-con fog and embrace just a little conservatism. Bush/Mccain OUTRIGHT REFUSED to secure the border....OBVIOUSLY he is telling you himself that he is not concerned about terrorists coming into this country.Or he just doesn't care to follow the rule of law.

You identify yourself as an idiot if you actually believe that the leftist large government centralization you are talking about is conservatism. You sound like a moron when you attack traditional TRUE conservatives when they call out the dangers and bankrupting potential of neo-conservatism.

Lets let the middle east fight it out like the Celts and the Jutes did. Lets get mainland America protected with defense missles and a crack down on illegals... Check out some of Thomas Jefferson's ideas sometime.
  • Bin Laden's impact
I think this is an interesting subject. It seems the left has painted Osama as the solve all of problems in the war on terror. They have chasitsed Bush for not catching him, claiming that the war on terror is solely based in Afghanistan and that Bin Laden is some kind of cobra commander sitting on top of a throne yelling commands to his followers and that if we capture him all of the islamofascists will just throw up their hands and say "oh well we tried!" and go back to whatever it was they were doing before.

This is not the case. Although Osama's role in the movement is diminished he still has an impact and in my opinion.. capturing him would only encite and motivate these people more.

In short, even if we do catch him, the wars not over.. obsolete or not.
  • Bin Laden
Let the Dems say what they will, but the fact remains is that Bush didn't just sweep Al Qaeda's attacks under the rug like CLINTON did (Remember the USS Cole??). Bush struck back and took away Bin Ladens security and made it harder for Al Qaeda to group up and plan further attacks.
  • RE: Red Leader....
America is helping to SOLIDFY muslims? Good... bring 'em on I'll line 'em up and shoot 'em... Grow a pair man...

Where have you been living the last eight years? I've been pretty comfortable while Obama has been hiding in a cave... that makes me feel good enough. I think YOU are missing the point...

If Amercia is going to go brankrupt, it is not because of our military... It is because of all these liberal programs that are way beyond the original scope of the Federal government...

Bush took the fight from America's airlines and brought it to the desert in Iraq and Afganistan.. and a damn good job that did. Muslim terrorists are no longer signing up for student visas to attack America, they can go to Iraq and do it... this stratagy has proven a great way to kill terrorists, we tricked them into attacking the tip of the spear.. It's worked perfectly. I don't care abotu WMD (which we did find but most seemed to be transfered to Syria).

We should enact a draft and continue on to Syria and Iran.. or at least open up a covert mission to do so.

You identify yourself as an idiot yourself when you use "neo-con" to describe conservitives... what a rediculous term...
  • Bush's failure to catch Obama
I am not sure why Bush gets so much criticism. Bush did not capture Osama, but Clinton could not catch Eric Robert Rudolph in his own back yard!
  • Absolute nonsense...
Bin Laden obsolete? Are you crazy? The islamic fascist movement does not need Bin Laden. Its his message they are going after, and they seem to remember his message very clearly. Boortz you continuously miss the point on this stuff. America is helping to SOLIDIFY these muslims in their efforts for violence. They don't NEED Bin Laden anymore, there are probably 100,000 little Bin Ladens in training waiting do the same thing. All these Islamic crazies need is to be able to use America as a convenient scapegoat, pointing to American actions on the Arabian peninsula and American military adventurism, interventionism and deception(Mushareff) in islamic countries and they will continue to have their numbers grow. As long as America continues its invasive military campaigns in the middle east the islamic nutcases will have a convenient and efficient recruitment tool. Why can't these neo-con idiots wake up to this fact? These people have been violent towards each other for years, let them figure out their nonsense! Would Americans like muslims building muslim type military bases in America? Nope. Why do Americans expect muslims to like it? America is probably even helping to drive moderate muslims to the side of the islamo-fascists. The worst thing that could happen to the islamic fascists is if the moderate muslims start to trust and co-operate with Americans. Why would these moderate muslims trust America with the amount of 2 faced deception it practices in the middle east? Read Michael Scheuer's books he's a former CIA Bin Laden specialist...he is saying the same things.Hell maybe even get him on the show. This radical American military adeventurism is going to bankrupt America like it did the Soviets....its just that simple.Wake up man this is not America's fight, arm America to shoot down missles and let these nutjobs fight out their civil war Europe got to fight out their tribal tensions 1000 years ago(Celts,Jutes,Franks), the middle east needs to do the same.
  • BIN LADEN IS USELESS
I still say that Bin Laden is dead! I feel he has been dead for a while now. I mean, when he was alive (pre 911) he was making all kinds of videos, now; there has not been any creditable audio or video of this guy. His bones are still in some cave, if you can find them!!!!!!!
