This is really so completely ridiculous. For days the Muslim Hamas goons in Gaza launch rockets at Israeli civilians. The "Arab world" is quiet. Then Israel retaliates and the "Arab World' suddenly goes nutso. How long do we tolerate this asinine double standard?

Where was the Arab world when those rockets were being fired at innocent Israelis? Sitting on their butts and shutting the hell up, that's where .. and the same goes for much of the oh-so-enlightened European Union. Then Israel retaliates and the world is coming to and. Everybody tells Israel to be careful about causing civilian casualties. Do any of you remember "the world" telling Hamas to be careful about where they aim those rockets? Did "the world" warn Israelis about civilian casualties among the so-called "Palestinians?"

Hamas tells Israel that if they don't stop their assault then Hamas is going to resort to suicide bombings. Are you believing this? Hamas feels free to fire rockets indiscriminately into the Israeli civilian population. They're telling Israel that if it tries to stop them from playing with their rockets, they'll move on to suicide bombs. In other words ... the message is that Israel just has to endure the rocket attacks and do nothing in return.

Israel is to be admired here. They have a civilian population to protect, and the hell with world opinion. When "the world" shows as much concern for innocent Israelis dying under Hamas rocket barrages as it does for Palestinians, then maybe Israel will listen.

Israeli troops are reportedly massing at the border. Send 'em in to clean out these Muslim Hamas goons once and for all.

What others are saying

  • Cynthia McKinney
Neal, I bet you have read now that Cynthia McKinney's boat was rammed by Israelis. Now, I'm a staunch defender of Israel's right to self-defense. If Hamas is so stupid as to attack Israel, they deserve what they get. However, I wanted to know your take on the McKinney incident since you have a love-hate relationship with her. You love to hate her! Just kidding. I can see a mutual respect and a certain hometown connection between the two of you, despite the fact that you are polar opposites on most issues.

  • Also
palestine has been around a lot longer than the USA. They have had plenty of time to set up their own food, water, gas, electric, and every other system they think Israel owes them.

palestine is worthless, they would rather spend money on bombs than electricity
  • Stay Out of this
I hope Obama's administration wont be like Condi Rice telling Israel through the gap of her teeth to stop the "occupation." Israel is occupying palestine just as much as USA is occupying England, Mexico, and France.

    Support Israel, always
  • Hamas
New Orelanes has the same problem gansters kill people in the streets and the people of the naborhood are to scared to come out and tell that it was buba kool gril that shot slim nogood rap. in the head with the 40 in the middle of the block at night with 50 people standing by but seen nothing.
  • It Is Always Israel's Fault
The Gaza attacks highlight Israel’s skepticism of world opinion. Ever since there arose in Egypt a pharaoh who knew not Joseph, these people have found few allies.
We consider the Holocaust as 6 million dead Jews compared to our population, but they remember just over 9 million resided in all Europe. In this country about 185 million people would need to be murdered, incinerated, and consigned to landfills. They remember Nazi’s could not have been so efficient without apathy or active cooperation from majorities of people in the occupied countries. They also remember Abba Eban’s U.N. observer experience. He was told bluntly that 6 million dead Jews had bought him only two years tolerance for efforts transforming the Balfour Declaration into the new Israeli state.

In current confrontations, Israeli’s understand selective moral outrage leads to their worldwide condemnation. Israel is castigated for killing civilians, while Articles 28 and 29 of the Fourth Geneva Convention say terrorist organizations such as Hezbollah and Hammas are responsible for those deaths. These civilians qualify as Protected Persons within terrorist control, and civilian presence cannot be used to render certain points and areas immune from military operations.

Expect Israel to follow it’s own council as to necessary self-defense actions. The Gaza actions demonstrate Israel will probably again enforce U.N. nuclear non-proliferation principles at their chosen time. A 5,000-mile flight to Iran is no problem for 100 determined men who are committed to a one-way mission, and who properly understand the lessons of Jewish history.

Where does CNN get the "info" that there are "scores of civilians" in the op. targeting Hamas? Dec 29, 2008 Where on earth does CNN get the “information” that there are “scores of civilians” (Jim Clancy this morning) in the air strike targeting Hamas? CNN admits that they are not allowed into Gaza because of the danger, so they “rely” on Arab “journalists” but mainly on Palestinian sources in Gaza for info, oh well, because the Pallywood is a new thing? they have not been known to add dead bodies in Jenin or to fake images as a whole?

We realize that they have SOME kids dead, as this was Hamas’ (like Hezbollah's) intention when they fire rockets from most densely-populated houses, so that their graphic ‘shocking’ photos gets spread well in the “world propaganda arena”, but “scores” - out of the 300?

How do they know that it's not the 90% Islamic Hamas? Why would there be only 300 dead after 3 days of pounding warplanes if Israel really hadn't be careful NOT to hit at civilians?

  • Geneva Convention violations
are being committed by Hamas every time they launch attacks or store arms in civilian areas. And those who violate the Conventions are NOT entitled to ANY protection under them.
  • Isn't Israel A Sovereign Nation?
Of course they are sovereign and they should act like one despite any country including the U.S. trying to tell them they should "be careful". They should do what they have to do to protect their people from these f*cking lunatics that keep lofting rockets into their country. Actually, the only way this thing ends is for one side or another to be eliminated because I just don't ever see the Palestinians negotiating anything short of taking back all of Israel.
  • Hamas
With profits from oil sales dropping could be Hamas and other terrorist groups will suffer a decrease in the flow of funds for missiles, explosives and ammunition. Iran and the Saudis may have to cut back on money for awhile. Keep up the good work Israel.
  • why not a new year's party in ashkelon or sderot ?
The Israeli government needs to invite Jimmy Carter, Cynthia McKinney (see below), Amanpour, the NYT editorial page people, Reuters, Kofi Annan, Bishop Tutu, and others of like mind to Sderot to play with the children while the Kassams are flying. Or to Ashkelon to a New Year's Eve party.

But tell them to bring Kevlar.

McKinney to the Rescue for Hamas

Former Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, the Green Party’s candidate for president this year, just keeps getting crazier and crazier. Now she’s getting on a boat in Cyprus with a bunch of international moonbat activists (aka Hamas supporters), planning to run Israel’s blockade on Gaza.

Free Gaza Group spokeswoman Caoimhe Butterly said their 20-meter yacht Dignity would leave Larnaca port around 5 p.m. (1400GMT) Monday with 3.5 tons of donated supplies.

She said the yacht would carry 16 passengers, including former US Congresswoman Cynthia Mckinney, Cypriot lawmaker and doctor Eleni Theocharous and activists from Britain, Australia, Ireland and Tunisia.
  • deliveries
I'm also curious about the claim that Israel is preventing food and medicine from going to Gaza.

Rockets are going there. A rocket is bigger than a loaf of bread or a vial of medicine. How is it that the Gazanies can have armament delivered but not other supplies? Tell you what, ask your delivery service to hollow out the rockets and put the medicine in there! Problem solved.
  • Today's Maccabees can be found at the Gaza Border
By Divine Providence is this "outrage" happening during the Festival of Lights - Chanukah. Jewish Extremists wiped out the Romans to take back the Temple thousands of years ago and now the secular Jews are giving back what was rightfully theirs to begin with? No! Israel belongs to the Jews - Source: G-d!
Jews must be extreme to keep peace otherwise you have other extremists (Hamas/Hezbollah Arabs) taking over what is yours. Doesn't make sense huh? How about I come over and claim your house is really mine? Being you are so nice and don't want any trouble you politely hand over the deed to your house to me. Isn't that sweet of you! Now I am going to go your liberal neighbor who also doesn't want any trouble and he does the same. This can become fun...until someone protected under the 2nd amendment tells to get the heck out before he blows my brains out. Then I will get the picture.

Well Israel is saying enough is enough. Here's our guns, Back up B-tch before we pop you one!

I agree with Cowboy...Gaza would be an ideal area for resorts and Peace. Arabs havent got the first clue about Economics and tourism. They took Gush Katif and now look at how desolate the whole area is! What a bunch of baffoons.
  • Good hunting in gaza IDF.
Gaza would be a great place for resorts, once the murderous vermin are cleared out.

I love the way the alleged news service reuters shows teens throwing chunks of concrete and kids shooting wrist rockets, and calls it a "protest." When people are fighting cops in the streets, it's a riot. Anyone dumb enough to throw rocks at people with guns should meet Darwin.
  • Double Standards for sure
Neal hit it on the head. I am so over the terrorists crying like the Hollywood left when any seed that they sow is answered in kind. Israel needs to finish the job they have once again started and not capitulate to diplomatic demands. There is no co-existence possible and any treaties and truces are just allowing Hamas to better arm itself.
  • Israel has no choice
Neal is, as per usual, dead on.
Just a few days ago, I was talking about this problem with my girlfriend (before the Israeli action began). I have a plan for peace in Israel that is guaranteed to work and it is simple.
First, take out a full page ad in newspapers around the world (especially in so called 'palestinian' and 'palestinian' sympathetic areas. In this ad, lay out the case: the repeated violations of truces by palestinians, the 3000 or so rocket attacks fired blindly into Israel, the way Hamas hides behind women and children while firing at Israeli's, and the kidnapping of Israeli soldiers. Then explain that because of the actions of Hamas, there can be no multi-state solution, no peace plan, and no palestine. For too many years, Israel has extended it's hand in peace only to have rockets fired at innocent civilians. No nation should have to put up with terrorism and then be forced to bow to terrorists wishes and demands. Period. Then I'd issue a choice to the Palestinian people - if you want to be an Israeli citizen, you may apply for citizenship by going to israeli checkpoints and applying. Then I'd line up tanks and push through the 'palestinian' regions until they seize control.
The problem with world opinion is that, for the most part, it is sympathetic to terrorism when it comes to Israel. Most of these nations that are sympathetic to 'palestinians' are anti-semitic to begin with. Israel has a right to defend itself and should be supported for their decades long fight against terrorism instead of denounced for defending itself.
I hope the Israeli people have the will to finish the job this time and root out the terrorists who don't want peace and treaties, but death and the spread of hate.
The US doesn't negotiate with terrorists, so why should Israel be forced to?
  • israel needs better media management
Israel has mistakenly left out key information when they discuss their response to the rocket attacks. Their press secretary should be say, every time, "Hamas, the duly elected government of Gaza..." to remind the world that Israel isn't merely responding to attacks from some random shnooks, but attacks from the people chosen by the Palestinian people to lead them in Gaza.

"When the duly elected government of a neighboring area opts to attack us, we will respond in kind."

Israel also should refrain from saying, "All-Out War." Do not be the first ones to declare war. "The elected government of Gaza has chosen to declare war on Israel..."

It's understood that much of the world will not be on Israel's side no matter what, they mask their anti-semitism in anti-zionism; but continuously reminding people that the citizens of Gaza picked their own leaders, who are opting for Hamaside, will keep this important fact at the forefront.
  • HAMAS
Well, if Israel does go into Gaze to "clean house" all they will find is those "peace loving" terrorists hiding behind their women and children! The cowards will not fight face to face but will run and hide until Israel leaves. Then, the SOS will start up again and again! There will never be peace in that region as long as one jew and one arab are still alive! And you can take that to the bank!!!
  • Hamas
Neal, I wholeheartedly agree, where was Hamas and the rest of the Muslim Terrorit loving world at when Hamas attacked Israel?

I would say it is readily apparent that there are so few that support Israel, and many who would ratherturn a blind eye. I do pray that President Elect Obama will do the right thing in this region and support our best ally. The Jewish people are God's chosen, and those who help them are friends indeed, we as a country NEED to support Israel. After all, they are only protecting themselves.
  • Hamas, Gaza and Zion.
And we go around the spiral again. Hamas shoots rockets. Israel shoots rockets a whole lot more accurately. Repeat ad infinitum.

Jimmy Carter actually has this called correctly. There are only two outcomes: No Arabs within 200 miles of the Temple Mount or No Jews alive in the Middle East.

I just hope they don't take the rest of the world with them.
  • Israel Defends Itself
I have no problem with Israel defending its people and land nor do I have a problem with Israel choosing to wipe HAMAS off the map. Once that is done maybe the Palestinians will live in peace with the no fear of their own people.

Then again, PEBO will meddle in this mess and leave Israel to the wolves only to learn that he lost the only friend he had over there.

HAMAS innocent? Probably from the standpoint of just following orders after the money was delivered from places just a little east of Israel.
  • Innocents?
These Palestinian mothers put their children at risk the same way that the mothers claim that their son, shot by police during an armed robbery, was a good boy who never got into any trouble, despite having an arrest record 15 pages long. Denial is not a river in Egypt.
  • Innocents?
Hamas, will always be found in the midst of women and children. The world is supposed to be outraged that "innocents" are being killed. I don't know about you, but if I had terrorists based in MY NEIGHBORHOOD, I'd get the hell out or I'd shoot 'em myself! What kind of Mother puts her children at risk. What kind of a sick, freak mindset is this? Innocent? My ass!
  • Israel
It is quite amazing. The world truly is on the side of what is evil.
  • Thank Jimmy Carter
Just one more thing we owe to Jimmy Carter. We need to realize the long view these thugs take.
  • Israel is my hero
I am so tired of this double standard that the world and Islam play with Israel. Who stood up and defened Israel when the peace loving Islamic radicals were shooting off rockets into innocent Isreal, who?
So Neal, please keep it this up and give our support to the only democratic country in that area.
  • Israel
Amen Brother, glad to see someone say it. I was thinking the same thing this weekend reading the coverage of the story on the internet. Glad to see Israel not messing around. They have conceded to attempt to achieve piece and Hamas keeps attacking. This is what concessions bring, hope this wakes up some in the US!
  • Should have never stopped fighting before
If we would have simply let Israel finish the job the first time we wouldn't be here... If the "Palestinians" really wanted peace they'd have it.. What they want is war and what they should get is death...

"Palestinians" stopped being victims when they voted in Hamas to lead them... I sincerly hope Israel finishes the task this time!
  • Israel
    hell yeah. right on Neal
