INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL COURT

A serious idea making the rounds is the establishment of an international environmental court of law.  The idea will officially be proposed at a symposium at the British Library to politicians, scientists and important public figures who buy into this global warming hoax.  And the good news for them ... this plan to create an environmental court would give them even more power.

Basically, the court would be similar to the International Court of Justice in the Hague.  This court would be the supreme legal authority on all issues regarding the environment.  First it would start with enforcing an international agreement to cut greenhouse gas emissions.  It would also have the authority to fine countries and private companies that fail to protect endangered species or harm the environment.  The court would enforce the "right to a healthy environment."  Oh gawd .. here we go again with yet another "right" we can add to the list.

What others are saying

  • IEC
...And I presume that 100% of the monies fined will go directly to whatever environmental anomaly or diety which can actually "correct" said deficiencies or excesses.

I agree with everything posted so far, except Randy's post should have ended "absolutely no effect on the environment"
  • Earth Day
This kind of stuff is why I barbeque and use all my small engine lawn tools on Earth Day...even if the grass doesn't need cutting. I would rather die on a burned out cinder in space than live in the world envisioned by the environmental movement.
  • The IEC: "Extortion" is our middle name.
Almost makes me wish that AlGore had succeeded in stealing the 2000 Presidential Election.

At leat there are still a few checks and balances left on *that* office...
  • INTERNATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL COURT
Maybe the IEC could hire Jesse jackson/Al Sharpton as advisors as how to really shake companies down for cash?
  • Enviromental Court
I see this as just another way to pick our pockets. Since there is no real proof that "Global Warming" is actually caused by man, any ruleings would be based on how much money thay want to extort from the country or company in question. The laws that would be enacted by this court would do nothing other than raise the cost of virtually everything, while having little to no effect on the enviroment.
