A Ploy To Justify Abortion?
Wow. My husband is dying, I am pregnant and I am the only perfect match to save his life. If my husband is dieing from natural circumstances, this would be one of the most difficult situations for a woman to be in. Neil...you say you'd abort in a nanosecond. You are not a woman. It has always been easy for men to "pay for the abortion" and live life afterwards as if nothing ever happened. Only the woman suffers with the emotional baggage that accumulates over the years. But you would not understand that. By nature, women are more protective and nurturing than men when it comes to children. You see this not only in humans but in ALL animals. Women can become ferocious when their young is threatened in any way -- and EVEN AGAINST THE FATHER SHOULD HE POSE A SERIOUS THREAT TO ANY ONE OF THEM - in a nanosecond!

If the circumstances were brought on due to consequences of ill choices by the husband - such as illegal drugs or excessive drinking...I believe the pendulum would swing the other way against me having an abortion. He would only continue afterwards and end up dieing anyway and I'd be stuck with the immense feeling of guilt and regret that I see emotionally crippling many women today.

This episode may have been a ploy to justify abortion in the first trimester. Unfortunately, the House situation is a rarety and the norm of abortion is used for birth control ... and that is what I am against.

Tell us, Neil...if you were dying and your wife was pregnant with your child...would you ask her to abort to save your own life?
