What would legalization of all recreational drugs give us? More people trying them? More people dying of them?<br> How about this: Real competition in the marketplace.<br> <br> Now, it may not have been true a hundred years ago, but nowadays we have quite a lot of technology on our side. Street drugs are generally dangerous, but there's no alternative because the general policy is that no company would ever invest in the safety of that class of thing, because "if it makes you feel good, it oughta be illegal"<br> <br> What would full legalization give us? Simple: within five or ten years, all drugs would be completely safe. No one would even think of using "street" drugs, aside from stupid teenagers whose parents won't let them.
