It sickens me to see $140 billion of our stolen taxpayer dollars going towards big fat bonuses to the employees and executives of Goldman Sachs, Bank of America, Citigroup etc. They They and their excessive risk-taking played a large part in driving America into this major recession. Why didn't we do the "Capitalist" thing and let these banks fail? All we got for our TARP money was higher banking fees, closing HELOC accounts, and foreclosed properties. Absolutely nothing was done by goverment, or the banks to help the people who are now standing in unemployment lines or have no healthcare. And nothing was done to reform the banks and the way they operate.<br> <br> If it comes to wasting taxpayer money, I'll choose health care a hundred times before I choose to help private banks (or any private business) continue their greed using my money. At least the people get something in return. And we will have to pay the taxman, somehow, for the trillions wasted in TARP. It ain't gonna be the banks that pay.
