Need to read todays WSJ. Article from president of Edmunds. There has been a drop of purchases in the last several months "in anticipation" of the "free downpayment" from CFC. The replacement of these cars would occur naturally, but the inducement for the government teat is too hard to pass up, shades of FDR & WPA vote buying.
