I'm terrified at what is about to transpire with health care. I'm currently in a nursing program and 99.9% of those of us in the program as well as the instructors are against this bill. This bill will destroy the quality of care that we can provide. More people in the hospitals means more patients that a nurse has to care for, which can lead to lesser quality, don't believe me, try caring for 5 patients only to be told now you have to care for 7. This country was founded on the principle that you are in control of your own destiny, you are responsible for yourself and your family. Why is the government trying to take that away from us, where will it eventually lead us? When did we decide to shirk the responsibility we had to ourselves in favor of government? I personally believe that people want to be able to blame someone when their life goes into the drain. If the government controls everything then we can blame the government, rather than accepting the responsibility and then having to blame ourselves when our choices don't work out.
