could the arguement be made that the US is no longer a "developed country" but is now an "undeveloping country" based on wealth creation, living standards, joblessness, school standards, test scores, world status, etc. etc.. Just yesterday a story appeared about rural paved roads being turned back into gravel. that would be undeveloping. There is more of that to come. Undeveloping countries should be getting aid, not giving.
